"Jiaojiao, don't go. Your sister didn't ask you for help because she can handle things."

Chu Jiaojiao knew that there was no use in being anxious now; An'an hadn't asked her for help, so she couldn't act rashly.

Chu Xingyue, who was attacking, suddenly felt a whooshing sound coming from her side, and immediately picked up the dagger in her hand and threw it.

The big guy was stopped by Chu Xingyue from catching up.

"Your opponent is me."

The big guy didn't say anything, but Chu Xingyue could tell from his expression that he was anxious.

This discovery surprised Chu Xingyue; it seemed that people still had emotions.

Having lost her dagger, Chu Xingyue knew that it would be difficult to injure or defeat the big guy with just her hands, so she pulled out the triangular dagger that was tied to her arm.

The three-edged dagger seemed to come alive in Chu Xingyue's hand.

They had to go all out; who knew what awaited them ahead? They absolutely couldn't let anything happen to Aci and Jiaojiao.

Thinking of this, Chu Xingyue attacked even faster. Since she was still human, she would still retain some of the weaknesses that humans have.

A roar that didn't belong to a human came from the big guy's mouth.

The big guy staggered a few steps, turned around, and angrily swung his fists at Chu Xingyue.

Despite panting heavily, Chu Xingyue didn't slow down, quickly running backward to try and dodge the incoming fist.

The big guy was quick, and Chu Xingyue's shoulder was still hit by the swung fist.

Chu Xingyue was thrown directly to the ground, sliding two or three meters before coming to a stop.

Chu Xingyue reached out and grabbed the shoulder that had been hit. She had dodged the punch several times before it came flying; if she had been hit head-on, her bones would have broken.

"Hiss!" Chu Xingyue rubbed her shoulder and opened her eyes wide as she watched the huge foot about to fall in front of her. She endured the pain and rolled away on the spot. What followed was the big guy's outstretched hand.

Chu Xingyue quickly knelt on one knee, and with her slender arm, she reached down to grab the big man's neck from below his elbow. She then thrust the triangular dagger into his head from the top, turned it clockwise, and pulled it out with great force, shoving the big man backward.

There was a muffled "bang".

Chu Xingyue jumped to a short distance away, panting heavily, and looked at the big guy lying on the ground convulsing, but did not go forward immediately.

The waiting time seemed long, but it was only a dozen seconds. A little white liquid gradually flowed out from the ground where the big guy had fallen, and his convulsing body gradually stopped.

Chu Xingyue removed the specially made gun that had been strapped to her back and fired a shot in the direction of the big man from a distance.

"Bang"

The sound of an explosion rang out behind Chu Xingyue. Holding her gun, Chu Xingyue ran without looking back in the direction where Chu Jiaojiao and Gu Yanci had just left.

Gu Yanci stood by, holding his gun and watching coldly.

When Chu Jiaojiao saw Chu Xingyue coming over, she quickly complained to Chu Xingyue.

"Are you injured?" Gu Yanci asked, noticing Chu Xingyue touching her shoulder.

"It's nothing, it's not serious."

"You'd better let me go. I don't know who's behind you, but if you mess with me, you'll all suffer the consequences."

Even as he lay sprawled on the ground, the man still managed to threaten Chu Xingyue and the other two.

"Oh? You won't see whether I have a good ending or not, but whether you have a good ending or not is up to me now."

Chu Xingyue grabbed the triangular dagger and stabbed it directly into the leg of the man who had made the threats.

"So, you have someone backing you?"

The man was in so much pain that his face was covered in cold sweat.

"I don't know, I have no one backing me, this is just a nuclear research institute."

"They're about to die, yet they still talk so much nonsense."

The three-edged dagger began to spin directly on the man's leg.

"ah..."

The screams continued, but the three people present seemed not to hear them.

"Aren't you going to confess?" Chu Xingyue's emotionless voice rang in the man's ears.

"I won't tell you, and you'll never know who's behind me."

"Oh, I didn't realize you were so stubborn."

Even Gu Yanci was starting to admire how stubborn this man was.

"This man looks a bit like the man who just pointed a gun at us."

Gu Yanci's words made the man slumped on the ground twitch, and that one twitch was enough for the three of them to see everything clearly.

So it turns out it does have weaknesses.

"It simply has no research value."

Chu Xingyue squatted down and asked in a hoarse voice.

"Yes, but they were dealt with before they even got in. You guys are the first to break in like this."

The man wondered, who is this person, and how did they manage to barge into our place?

"All I know is that they are an organization, and the person who contacts us is a middle-aged man named Lan."

Chu Xingyue raised an eyebrow when she heard that sound.

Could it be her cheapskate father?

"Is this the only person? Has no one else contacted you?"

"No"

"Why are so many researchers being held hostage here? Is the nuclear research institute on the outskirts really researching nuclear power, or is it just a cover to conceal your activities?"

"They are really researching nuclear power, but those idiots have been researching it for over a decade and still haven't figured it out."

The man gave the nuclear power research personnel a completely unfriendly look.
