Chapter 32 A Girl's Date...

Chapter 32 A Girl's Date...

Chapter Thirty-Two

Ed should have fallen into despair again before the tombstone was completely closed, when the bride closed her eyes. The bride was pulled into the underworld, while the groom was still struggling in the real world. This is how the story ends, with only a single tear visible in the groom's eye at the very end.

But perhaps because of her trust in Dick, she completed every task with great enthusiasm, found Ed's whereabouts, and found the underworld flower that should have disappeared. The flower was still blooming, only the tears had been wiped away.

The bride and groom got together and went to the underground world.

This is the ending they ultimately saw in the haunted house, and Enid whispered this to Barbara, Stephanie, and Cassandra.

"Sounds like a great ending, doesn't it? It looks like it'll be a hit. But, didn't you guys go anywhere else afterward?"

Stephanie was a little curious about what they did next, and Enid smiled and said, "Actually, we didn't do anything. We just looked around and then we went shopping. We went to a Superman merchandise store and a Wonder Woman merchandise store. I bought a ton of Wonder Woman merchandise."

Seeing Enid's smiling eyes crinkle, Stephanie raised an eyebrow and thought for a moment. She didn't seem to see many of the surrounding items at home. She glanced at Cassandra, who nodded in agreement with Stephanie's idea.

"So, the surrounding area?"

"Deliver it tonight! And I bought it for you all, well, although I don't think Damian might need it."

"Pfft," Stephanie actually agreed with this point, but she was starting to find the scene that evening quite amusing. While suppressing her laughter, she reached out to get the snacks that Enid had just been reaching for. Yes, the four girls were currently preparing for their date and also teaching Enid how to do her makeup.

"Thank you so much, Stella." Enid smiled and snuggled closer to her, then her eyes sparkled. "And I want all of those on top too!"

After saying that, Enid glanced at the heights of the other two with a hint of resentment and sighed, "My mother is so tall, and my father is so tall, so why am I so short? It just doesn't feel scientific." Unfortunately, even Barbara couldn't comfort her, since she wasn't Damian's age anymore and couldn't grow any taller.

"It's okay, maybe it's because I traded my height for my talent!"

"Very likely."

Cassandra patted her gently, and Enid took her arm. The four of them then paid the bill together intimately and went to Barbara's current place. Snacks were laid out on the table, along with various drinks. TV programs were turned on, and interesting shows became the perfect background music.

"So, how do you usually disguise yourselves? Well, maybe it's makeup. I swear my teachers at school used to teach me, but I failed. I don't really understand why witch courses at magic schools also involve makeup and dancing."

They were curious when Enid mentioned this, and Enid nodded in response. She then projected some old school programs onto the television, showing a makeup and dance class being taught by a teacher. Enid, sitting in the corner, had such striking red hair that they could all see her dozing off.

"It seems the problem isn't the teacher's incompetence?"

"Um...maybe I shouldn't have put this in!"

She stumbled into Cassandra's arms, where she was caught nimbly. Then she saw the smile in Cassandra's eyes, and Enid felt a little embarrassed.

“Speaking of makeup, I looked at Barbie the other day, and I felt… well, I could take inspiration from the designs and make some of the props.” Enid was quite interested in this. “Like that table where you press a button and food appears?”

"Ah... okay, that's possible, but I can't conjure up food, so it's like making a preservation device and then randomly releasing food when you press it."

Enid explained somewhat dejectedly to Barbara's suggestion that she actually wanted to try it too, something that didn't require cooking and could be made directly. Well, the result was... Enid silently lowered her head. Stephanie glanced at Cassandra, trying to get an answer from her.

"Yes, the explosion a few days ago was one of them."

Enid never said that this matter needed to be kept secret. Stephanie just happened to be busy these past few days and didn't notice the explosion that happened at Wayne Manor a few days ago. It was actually a very small explosion, about the same size as the one that blew up the oven last time.

“Yes, it’s the lab that Grandpa Afu prepared for me. Then a part of it was blown up, but it’s been restored now! However,” Enid said, still a little annoyed, Barbara suppressed a laugh and patted her head, “she’s now forbidden from entering the lab. Bruce’s opinion is that it would be better if she had a deeper understanding of the concept of magic before she could enter, preferably with the guidance of a teacher.”

"I remember Zatana came before, so does that mean she can't teach?"

Bruce had already invited Zatana, and of course Constantine, but it was clear that her magic was not part of their system, or more accurately, her magic system was more like a real-life version of some fairy tales, which Enid approved of.

"Yes, there's no other way... So, my father's idea is that I can't go into the lab until the start of the semester."

He's worried about you.

Barbara understood Bruce's unspoken meaning. After all, without a familiar person to look after her, and with Enid being a novice, it was easy to recreate concepts from fairy tales and cartoons into reality. Making fictional items into ordinary toys was easy, but realizing all of this was not an easy task.

"I know, so I compromised. I originally wanted to try something else, like quick outfit changing or something, but I can't do it now that it's convenient for you guys."

"I'm not in a hurry, after all, I already have it, don't I?"

Stephanie picked up the portable storage space Enid had given her; it was now crammed full of things and incredibly convenient. Cassandra and Barbara agreed, saying the gift was truly useful and a great help to them because they could customize its shape and form to their liking and it was less likely to get lost.

In a crisis, it's not easy to steal from them, and it might even scare them. Isn't that great?

"Great! But it's not very convenient to make. I don't have many materials left. Maybe I can prepare this for Tim's birthday present later?" Enid had been thinking for a long time about what gift to prepare for Tim. Although there was still more than a month to go, it was just the right time to start preparing now.

“That’s a great idea, he’ll definitely like it.” Stephanie gave her a positive answer, which reassured Enid a lot.

"But what exactly do I need you to do?"

“Well, the main thing is that it needs to be meticulous to ensure that the space is stable and won’t be lost, so this part is quite difficult because safety is very important! But my space system is superb, it’s just that we don’t have many materials left…” Enid’s voice suddenly became very soft, and she pretended to look around nervously.

"Would you like to come with me to buy some materials? Are they in the Sacred Forest?"

"Can we go in?"

Cassandra knew that entering the Sacred Forest was no easy feat; otherwise, Bruce wouldn't have remained inside until now. Enid shook her head.

"No, but you can go to the outer perimeter, which is the area that doesn't involve the core, as long as you don't harm the plants and animals inside."

"That sounds amazing. I bet those boys will be really envious?"

Apart from Dick and Damian, no one else had ever been inside, but only Dick witnessed its stunning beauty. To be honest, the descriptions of the scene that Dick left behind, as well as the scenes he drew, were enough to make them feel deeply astonished, because it didn't seem like a place that would appear in the human world.

But now that they could see it for themselves, they unanimously agreed to put away the snacks and prepare to have a picnic on the spot once they arrived. After all, everyone except Enid knew how to do something.

It's not that Enid can't eat it, it's just that people might not like boiled vegetables.

So after the flashing light broke through the trembling clouds, what struck their eyes was the night that seemed out of place at this moment. On the ground were jack-o'-lanterns growing freely, the pumpkins showing their "terrifying" expressions with bared teeth and claws, and there were also twisted-looking trees and vines intertwined, and in the corners, one could almost see slippery, soft little ghosts.

"Is this what you saw in the haunted house?"

Stephanie immediately realized that this was the place she had mentioned earlier where she and Dick had gone on their date. Enid nodded, "It appeared here after we came back yesterday. We haven't told Dick yet, so you're the first to know!" Enid had a super proud and adorable expression on her face.

Although she didn't show it, Barbara keenly sensed something was strange. If Enid had arranged it specifically, she would have said so and shown it off, but that was clearly not the case. And this place was something she had only mentioned wanting to rebuild in the forest yesterday, and then this scene appeared after she returned home. Isn't that too much of a coincidence?

The scene in Saint Lin and everything Enid longed to see seemed to connect. Barbara was slightly worried about Enid, but for now, she could only talk to Bruce about it later.

"So, the ingredient is pumpkin?"

"Of course—no! It's next to the pumpkin!" Enid ran to the pumpkin, then suddenly lifted it up. The pumpkin let out a scream—it was the first time she'd ever heard a pumpkin scream. Then, at the pumpkin's feet, there was a small blue blade of grass, which looked a lot like a clover.

"This is it. Although it can be found in many places, it's easier to find here. It's right under the pumpkin. Want to try? You can just lift up the pumpkin. This little grass is the only one you can pick."

Cassandra and Stephanie went over first, each holding up a pumpkin. The pointed ends of each pumpkin were slightly different. The one in Cassandra's hand cried and then hiccuped. Cassandra silently watched as the little grass pulled off its own head and flew into Enid's hand. She immediately put the pumpkin down, and the pumpkin finally stopped crying.

"This is...?"

"Yes, that's how it is. Because the head is too heavy for them and it's uncomfortable, they'll pull it off themselves. Just lift the pumpkin up and they can clean it themselves, just like when we cut hair." Enid smiled at Barbara. Although Barbara sensed Enid's mischievous intentions, she didn't expect it to be just a matter of concealing the pumpkin's unusual scream. She silently cooperated, but what she didn't expect was that when Enid lifted the pumpkin... it was actually laughing?

Wow! Barbara, you're so lucky! This pumpkin loves to be lifted up high!

As soon as Enid finished speaking, Barbara put the pumpkin down, and then a small pumpkin the size of a palm appeared at her feet, looking at her with expectant eyes. Barbara turned her head and glanced at Enid, revealing a clear look of doubt.

"Hey, it's because it loves being lifted up high by you, so I'm giving you this pumpkin to eat." She glanced at it after saying that. "Cassan and Stacy, do you need a little pumpkin?"

After speaking, Enid waved the pumpkin in her hand. Cassandra and Stephanie glanced at the little pumpkin that was almost crying at Barbara's feet and fell silent. At that moment, Barbara saw the little pumpkin clearly blinking, and she obviously thought she probably wouldn't eat it.

Author's Note: Hehe, my screen time will be reduced from now on! Because he has to go back to Brudhaven to get busy. If I don't let him go back to Brudhaven soon, maybe... I can't hold back my feelings of wanting to confess anymore. For the sake of my outline and my hair, I'm sorry, bro (hehe).
