Lu Yutian hurriedly ran to the Lin family home. On the way, she tried to call Lin Yihuan, but her phone was out of battery. Lu Yutian held the phone very nervously, her heart clenching with anxiety.

The sky was overcast with dark clouds, much like her current mood. After returning home last night, she sat on the sofa and thought for a long time. If Lin Yihuan really was her daughter, then if her daughter hadn't died, why was she left in S City? She was born in Beijing, such a far distance away. Why would Ling Xue come to S City?!

Not long after, Lu Yutian knocked on the Lin family's door. Lin Yihuan put on a coat and came out to open the door. She was a little surprised to see Lu Yutian and quickly welcomed her inside.

"Teacher Lu, please sit here and wait a while. My father won't be back for a bit." He then poured her a cup of herbal tea and placed it in front of her.

Lu Yutian nodded upon hearing this, suppressing all her worries so as not to frighten her.

Lin Yihuan felt Lu Yutian's gaze and smiled slightly, saying softly, "Teacher Lu, I don't object to or stop you from dating my father. It's your business..."

Lu Yutian waved her hand and hurriedly tried to explain, but before she could say anything, Lin Youcheng's voice came from behind her.

"Hmm, Huanbao is so thoughtful. Are you hungry? I'll go cook for you!"

Lin Yihuan waved her hand and said, "I'm not hungry. I'm going upstairs to sleep. You guys chat." With that, she ran upstairs.

Lin Youcheng slowly took off his police uniform jacket and said in a deep voice, "Go keep Huanbao company, I'll go cook for you..."

Lu Yutian quickly waved her hand and said, "No need. I'm relieved to see that she's alright. I'll go now; my brother is waiting for me at home."

Lin Youcheng reached out and pulled Lu Yutian's arm into his embrace, lowering his head slightly and smiling softly, "Don't you want to know everything about Huanbao from childhood to adulthood? Also, I've found out some things that you don't want to hear?"

Lu Yutian nodded and said gently, "Yes, I want to!"

"Then just wait here obediently, I'll go cook..." Lu Yutian was about to say something when Lin Youcheng had already put on an apron and gone to the kitchen to cook.

Lu Yutian carried a cup of milk that Lin Youcheng had warmed up to the second floor and gently knocked on Lin Yihuan's door. After a moment, Lin Yihuan called out sweetly, "Come in..."

Lu Yutian gently pushed open the bedroom door and saw Lin Yihuan packing her suitcase. She frowned and asked in confusion, "Yihuan, where are you going?"

Lin Yihuan shook her head and said, "I'm not going anywhere. I'm just packing my things. I forgot about them after returning from a competition in a neighboring city a while ago. My clothes are still here, so I just want to pack them."

Lu Yutian finally felt relieved. Lin Yihuan took a small hair tie from the bathroom and combed her hair up, clearly exposing the mole on her small ear to Lu Yutian.

Lu Yutian paused slightly, reached out and tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear, and said gently, "Shall I comb your hair for you...?"

Lin Yihuan was stunned for a moment, somewhat at a loss, but she still agreed and obediently sat on the soft chair, letting Lu Yutian comb her hair.

Lu Yutian gently and carefully combed Lin Yihuan's hair again.
