(7 Fresh Coins) Chapter 12 (Part 2) Patience

"To hear you say something like 'the two of us together'... I never even dreamed of it." After the kiss ended, Si Qiang raised her upper body, squinted at the man beneath her, and smiled slightly.

Upon hearing this, Xu Qi frowned slightly, then glanced at him sideways: "Are you accusing me?" He knew that his hesitant attitude toward the relationship between the two of them had been hurtful all along, but when the other party actually brought it up, he felt inexplicably annoyed—he would never admit that his current reaction was actually a form of "being embarrassed and angry."

Upon hearing this, Si Qiang's smile widened, and he let out a short, breathy sound. After the other person's brows furrowed even more, he finally couldn't help but burst into laughter: "Hehe... Ahahaha... You're so cute... Ouch... Ahahaha..." He laughed so hard he could barely breathe, and tears were almost streaming down his face.

…Cute? Xu Qi was about to explode in anger when, looking at the face before him that bloomed like a rose, an indescribable feeling suddenly overwhelmed him. This man, with such an expression…it was the first time he'd ever seen it. That vivid and lively expression was simply irresistible, making it impossible for him not to continue to be captivated by this man's deadly poison. He slowly lowered his eyes, deciding to grant the other's rare pleasure.

Si Qiang finally finished laughing, then lay down and hugged Xu Qi, rubbing against him affectionately: "Phew... he really is so cute..."

Xu Qi gritted his teeth in anger, veins bulging on his forehead. He kept talking cutely and incessantly—was this guy really that oblivious, or was he just looking for trouble?

Fortunately, the man wasn't completely oblivious. After noticing the man's strange expression, he immediately changed the subject: "Ah Yang asked me to pick up Merlin. You rest first, I'll be back in a bit."

Then he lowered his head and kissed the man's cheek, then got out of bed and went to the bathroom. Half a minute later, the sound of running water could be heard through the glass door.

The man lying on the bed stared silently at the indistinct figure on the steaming door for a long while, before finally turning his head and closing his eyes. Sigh, never mind. That's someone else's brother, why should he worry about it? A wave of drowsiness washed over him, and he slowly sank into the darkness.

When he woke up again, it was already broad daylight. Xu Qi frowned, slowly moved his body, which he could finally move freely, and sat up halfway, looking out the window. He knew without a doubt that it was a new day. He subconsciously looked down, reached out and touched his face—it was completely cold. He listened carefully, but there was no sound. Could it be that Si Qiang hadn't returned at all? Thinking of this possibility, he no longer cared about his still somewhat clumsy body, quickly threw off the covers, and got out of bed to look for her.

I looked around but no one was there. However, I found a note on the living room table.

"Qi, I brought Merlin back. You're still resting, so I'll personally take Merlin to your aunt's house. I'll be back soon, wait for me. Qiangwei." The two elegant lines were none other than Si Qiang's familiar handwriting.

Holding that thin piece of paper, Xu Qi realized that she was now being treated like... a woman waiting for her newlywed husband to return. The paper instantly felt like it was burning hot; she didn't know whether to throw it away or not.

Finally, he fled back to New York. It was impossible for him to obediently wait there for that man to return. It wasn't that he was being difficult, but rather to avoid an 80% certainty—that after Si Qiang returned, due to various unspeakable reasons, he would linger there indefinitely, and who knows when he would finally come back.

It has to be said that his thinking made some sense. Si Qiang, who rushed back, looked at the empty bedroom and could only laugh helplessly. He had originally intended to have someone send Merlin back, but then, remembering the young master's long criminal record, he finally decided to personally hand him over to his aunt. During the "escort," Merlin didn't say a word to him, not even glancing at him. He knew the boy resented him, because to him, Si Qiang was a despicable rival who had monopolized Xu Qi's affections.

Unfortunately, for Si Qiang herself, everything in this world is negotiable, except for the matter of "possessing Xu Qi as a man," which is beyond any room for negotiation. Even if Merlin hates him, he will not back down an inch.

Sitting on the bed, still seemingly warm from the man's touch, he noticed the wooden figurine was gone. Hugging the sheets and taking a deep breath, he couldn't stop the sweet, intoxicating love welling up inside him. It was truly unbearable. He knew he was practically a pervert, aroused by the faint scent of a man. But… how could he not love such a lovely man?
