Tang Yue was walking from the military base to the family compound when she turned the corner and saw Xu Zhiwei chasing after Tang Dong as they flashed past. Tang Yue frowned. Hadn't this Second Master Xu taken Xu Zhiwei back to the Northeast yet?

How long has it been? She finally escaped from Commander Kang's clutches and now all she wants is to go home and enjoy the warmth of her family. But can anyone tell her why Xu Zhiwei is in the compound?

Just as Tang Dong ran over, he seemed to catch a glimpse of a small figure out of the corner of his eye. It looked like his younger sister. Had his sister returned?

The thought flashed through Tang Dong's mind, and without even looking at Xu Zhiwei, he turned and ran back. When he got closer, he saw that it was indeed Tang Yue, and Tang Dong excitedly picked up his little sister, "Haha, little sister's home. Let's go home!"

Tang Yue...

Although Tang Dong is three years older than her, he is really not tall. If he picks her up now, the scene would be quite comical.

Xu Zhiwei caught up. He was a little intimidated by Tang Yue now. Seeing Tang Dong holding Tang Yue, he didn't dare to go up and spar with Tang Dong. "Tch, what's the big deal? Is it really that big of a fuss about your sister coming home?"

Tang Dong happily put Tang Yue down; he wouldn't tell her that his sister had just returned from outside. "Little sister, are you done with work at the army? Let's go home; Mom has prepared lots of delicious food for you."

"Okay, Third Brother."

Tang Shengkai and Uncle Xu also caught up, "Dad, Uncle Xu."

"Hey, little girl, I hope my visit today hasn't caused any trouble for your family?"

Tang Yue looked at Tang Shengkai with a puzzled expression. Tang Shengkai just smiled at her. Tang Yue winked playfully, "Yes, Second Master."

"Huh?" Uncle Xu's expression immediately turned unnatural. Before he could speak again, Tang Yue continued.

"My parents must be racking their brains trying to figure out what delicious food to cook for you."

Uncle Xu, regaining his senses and realizing what the little girl had said, pointed at Tang Yue with a wry smile, "You silly girl! You gave your second grandfather quite a fright!"

Tang Shengkai and Tang Dong stood on either side of Tang Yue, each holding one of her little hands as they walked home.

Xu Zhiwei stood behind them, watching their backs for a long time without moving. Uncle Xu took a few steps, then realized his grandson hadn't followed. He stopped and turned around. "Zhiwei, what are you doing? Hurry up, or you'll lose him."

Xu Zhiwei walked up to his second uncle, looked up at his grandfather, and said, "Grandpa, when are we going home? I miss my mom and dad so much."

Hearing Xu Zhiwei's words, Uncle Xu's eyes welled up with tears, but he quickly regained his composure and patted Xu Zhiwei's shoulder lightly, "What are you thinking about, kid? Didn't we already agree that we'd spend the New Year in the South Island this year?"

This place is so far away, it's not easy to come all this way, and this might be the only time you'll ever come here in your life, so shouldn't you stay a little longer?

"And look how warm it is here; we don't even need to wear cotton-padded clothes in winter. We've saved your wet nurse money this year!"

As he spoke, he pulled Xu Zhiwei toward Tang Shengkai's house. Tang Shengkai and the others stood there waiting for the grandfather and grandson. All three of them had heard what they were saying, but what they were thinking was unknown.

Old Li was waiting at the door with Xixi in his arms. When he saw Uncle Xu, he glared at him and said, "You're supposed to be a doctor, but you have legs like this?"

Uncle Xu laughed, "Hey, you old codger, trying to show off how healthy you are, huh? You're only doing this because of Third Brother and his wife."

Old Li looked very proud. "That's because I'm lucky to have such a good son and daughter-in-law. You can't compare."

Xu Zhiwei retorted, "My parents are also very good, and they're good to my grandfather too."

Old Li didn't argue with the child. "Yes, yes, your parents are good people too."

The group chatted and joked as they walked to the stone table in the courtyard and sat down. Lin Cuicui came out of the kitchen to greet them, "Second Uncle, Zhiwei is here. Please sit down, the food will be ready soon."

When Lin Cuicui's gaze fell on Tang Shengkai, she immediately spotted Tang Yue. Her eyes widened in surprise, and Tang Yue smiled and shook her head slightly at her mother. Lin Cuicui immediately suppressed the urge to rush over and hug her daughter.

"Mom, do you need my help?"

"Okay, come in and help Mom start the fire."

"Then I'll go wash the vegetables."

"I'll wash the dishes."

Not wanting to be left behind, Tang Bei and Tang Nan followed them inside. Hmph, a few days ago, the third son came back with his sister. Today, it was Dad and the third son holding his sister's hand again.

They were unhappy. Why did the third child always get all the good things? They wanted to get some attention from their younger sister too.

As soon as she entered the kitchen, Lin Cuicui immediately closed the door, picked Tang Yue up, and gave her a loving kiss on each cheek.

Tang Yue...

She was really struggling to cope with such an enthusiastic mother. The worst part was that her two older brothers were also eyeing her attention.

"Oh, my precious darling, why are you only coming back now? I've missed you so much."

Tang Yue wrapped her arms around Lin Cuicui's neck, suppressing her embarrassment as she returned two kisses on the cheek, making Lin Cuicui so happy she twirled around in the kitchen. Her daughter was truly wonderful.

Tang Bei and Tang Nan were extremely anxious; they also longed to hug their little sister.

Lin Cuicui frowned as she looked at her two sons. "Your little sister is all grown up now, and so are you. You can't just hug or kiss your little sister anymore, understand?"

"Phew~" Tang Yue secretly breathed a sigh of relief. She was really afraid that her two brothers would come for this. She really couldn't accept it.

Fortunately, Mom had reminded them in advance. Tang Bei and Tang Nan were a little unconvinced, but seeing that their younger sister had indeed grown taller than before, and that they had both grown quite a bit taller after exercising for a while, Mom was right.

Tang Bei said helplessly, "Mom, could you put my sister down first? We haven't seen her in a long time."
