"Let's destroy these semi-finished products first, and then analyze the laboratory's research direction from the previous data to see which direction these experimental samples were cultivated in. We should also be able to analyze the characteristics of the experimental samples that were taken away or escaped."

Xu Lin's collecting obsession has kicked in again. Whenever she arrives at a new place, she likes to wander around and see if there's anything she can collect. She's either hoarding things or on her way to hoard things every day.

After touring around, I got a general understanding of the laboratory. It covers several thousand square meters and is divided into three parts. The first part is the staff's living area, where they eat and sleep; the second part is the experimental area; and the third part is the database they initially entered.

Based on the living area in the first part, the two roughly estimated that there were about 40 staff members in this laboratory, with two people per room, a canteen and a lounge area. Their personal belongings were still in the rooms, so the reason for the abandonment of the place should be as Zhou Pin said.

Xu Lin didn't leave any of the remaining household items behind: pots and pans, oil, salt, soy sauce, vinegar from the kitchen, bedding sets, work clothes, sterile suits, office supplies, etc. from the storage room, perfectly embodying the principle of leaving nothing behind.

Back in the testing area, Xu Lin wrote down the numbers on each and every test item, and even took photos with her phone to keep a record in case there were any mistakes.

“You destroy the test samples, I’ll find the data,” Xu Lin told Zhou Pin.

The two first collected everything in the laboratory. Then, Zhou Pin used the small explosive device contributed by Xu Lin to install it in each laboratory, while Xu Lin found a safe place to enter the space to check the data she had collected in the database.

The sample taken away must have been a mature experimental specimen with special functions. Xu Lin first found the laboratory's establishment documents and discovered that the laboratory was a private institution jointly established by many investors with the aim of arranging and recombinating the superior parts of genes to form the highest quality genes.

After reviewing the lab documents, Xu Lin emerged from her spatial dimension to check on the situation. Zhou Pin had already destroyed the experimental samples. Xu Lin led Zhou Pin into her spatial dimension and handed him a stack of documents.

“Those test subjects all had numbers. Find the corresponding information and put it aside. The rest are the ones that have been taken.”

Zhou Pin took the documents handed to him by Xu Lin and began to work on them. Two hours later, the documents of the destroyed test subjects were removed, leaving five documents.

"These five were the most successful of all the experiments, and the data was recorded in great detail. Unfortunately, the data from the first two months was stolen and destroyed in the laboratory," Xu Lin said.

"It's okay, it's only two months. No matter how much we upgrade, the difference won't be too much. We already have very detailed information." Zhou Pin looked down at the five documents.

"Let's eat first. We don't know if the test subjects were really stolen or if they just ran away on their own. We don't need to worry unnecessarily. Maybe they're not a threat to us. We have their information, which gives us the upper hand."

Xu Lin brought out three dishes and a soup, and she and Zhou Pin sat down in the dining room on the first floor of the villa to start eating.
