Chicken feet delivery, what's not to like?
...As the battle continued, it was unclear whether Felsa would be cut down by the greatsword first, or whether Red Blade would collapse from exhaustion. The archers raised their bows and arrows, aiming at the enemy.
"Don't you dare interfere!" Red Blade took a step back, paused for a moment, and shouted at his brothers to stop them from interfering.
Then he turned his gaze to Philsa: "Your head alone is not enough to appease the dead. I also want your blonde chick's head! Before that, let my brothers enjoy her body!"
This time it was Philsa's turn to get angry. The aurora on her body burned intensely, yet it had no temperature.
"I must do everything in my power, no matter what." He made this decision, dedicating his blood to the demonic veins within him in order to break through his limits.
The blood within him then transformed into magic and released high energy, while his own aurora became blinding. He spread his arms, wielding two swords, and swooped down towards the red blade like a low-flying swallow, leaving only afterimages of aurora in his wake.
Faced with a crazed enemy, Red Blade resolved to unleash his full power, activating "Bloodlust." He held the crimson greatsword protectively in front of him, and the greatsword began to gush blood, solidifying into a semi-human shape, resembling a girl wielding two swords.
At the critical moment, the Blood Coagulation humanoid leaped up, controlling Philsa's attack. The Blood Witch's hands were blades; she first blocked with one hand, then counterattacked with the other, forcefully repelling Philsa. He retreated a considerable distance and steadied himself, concentrating his mind to sense the opponent's unusual state.
The blood-coagulated humanoid form eventually detached from the giant sword's main body, floating in mid-air as a young girl to assist Red Blade in battle.
Most of the Midnight Slayer's brothers witnessed for the first time the Crimson Blade summoning the Blood Witch, and also learned for the first time the secrets hidden within the Crimson Greatsword.
“Boy, you said my sword would betray me, didn’t you? That’s impossible. We’re inseparable for eternity.”
Philsa's magical senses immediately detected the intense aura of blood demons, and he also learned that there was a blood demon beside Red Blade.
The current situation is... two against one.
This is the true face of "blood love".
Philsa was overwhelmed by the Blood Demon's aura and could hardly breathe.
The image of the Crimson Blade Blood Witch that appeared in his mind was not that of a young girl, but rather a colossal, twin-bladed demon. The aura of blood had begun to cloud his judgment.
"For a long time, few enemies have been able to force her out of her shell. Now, thanks to you, I can finally fight alongside her again. As a token of my gratitude, I will show you what bloodlust truly is."
Philsa lowered his body and retreated continuously.
The trees and stone railings around her were repeatedly slashed away by the pursuing Blood Witch.
He had to shake off the influence of the bloodlust and refocus his mind. If he could see, he would have noticed the crimson blade closing in as well, its right hand wielding the sword glowing with an eerie red light. The Blood Witch obeyed her master's orders and pursued the enemy.
"Sias is my lover. She was seriously ill before I became a mercenary. She was a swordsmith. Before she died, in order to protect me for eternity, she voluntarily jumped into the sword-making furnace and transformed her own flesh and blood into a crimson giant sword."
Most of the people who were killed by Midnight Slash were unconscious in the breath of blood. After hearing the old man reveal the secret of the Crimson Sword, they lost consciousness.
Only a portion escaped the range of bloodborne infection.
"You dare say she'll betray me? What do you know? Huh? What do you know?"
With a roar from its master, the Blood Demon swiftly bypassed Philsa and stood in front of him, raising its arms and unleashing a fierce cross slash.
Just as the bloody wind howled and the twin blades of blood were about to strike, he raised his two swords to protect himself and simultaneously dodged with a swift, sideways movement.
The Blood Blade only grazed the flesh of his right arm, and also struck his left cheek and other undefended areas. The scent of blood that Philsa could smell was no longer distinguishable as either his own or that of the Blood Demon.
Fortunately, the slight pain allowed him to refocus, and from now on he would no longer blindly run away.
He had finally understood his doubts from that night after hearing what Red Blade had said. The greatsword was originally crimson, the same color as blood;
Its material was no wonder so strange; even Philsa, who often sparred with swordsmen, couldn't tell the difference by the feel and sound of the impact. He stopped thinking about unnecessary things during his rest and focused on the battle.
The situation... was overwhelmingly unfavorable. Although Philsa was able to regain his focus, discern the Blood Demon's form, and no longer be misled, he could not instantly turn the tide of the battle.
He no longer possesses the power of the Wind Vortex—and even if he did, he couldn't use it easily. The power of the Wind Vortex is Sherry's soul.
Each use consumes one point;
Even if it's stored away and not used, it might still "evaporate" and dissipate, after all, it's the power of the wind. He hopes to preserve it as well as possible until the resurrection ritual.
"With Sias here, I will never lose."
Upon receiving the order, the Blood Demon charged toward the enemy and launched a series of attacks.
The speed of the Ice Twin Swords was comparable to that of the Blood Twin Blades, but neither could harm the Blood Demon in the slightest.
Even more remarkably, the parts of her body that were severed soon reformed with her blood, making her practically immortal.
Philsa was already struggling to deal with the Blood Demon—the Blood Demon's aura suddenly receded rapidly, replaced by a red blade attacking head-on.
He instinctively defended himself, using his two swords to shield his head and brace against the massive, slashing blade. Then he heard his swords cry out in pain, before cracking and shattering within a second. Weaponless, he quickly retreated a few steps.
Looking at the so-called cooperation between Red Blade and his "lover," they never tried to attack simultaneously.
When one side attacks, the other side retreats. When Red Blade attacks, Blood Demon retreats and makes no move.
