Chapter 583

Van Rexor ignored the commander's continued, "Today, we captured a man. He claimed he had caused trouble for the Wang army. I wonder if this man is the one you're talking about?"

He whispered orders to his subordinates, as if he had been preparing for this all along, intending to bring this person into the palace.

The palace doors were wide open. A scorching heat wafted in from outside, making everyone present think that a fire had broken out outside.

It wasn't until that person entered that they realized with shock that it was the demonic aura he brought with him.

He was a tall young man. Van Rexor did not treat him like a prisoner; he was not dressed in prison clothes, nor was he chained.

He wore a tight-fitting, sleeveless black top that accentuated his burly, raptor-like physique, and tattered leather trousers. He appeared to be an adventurer from outside the capital.

He walked freely into the palace, ignoring all the whispers directed at him.

The unruly young man glanced at Wang Jun's group, muttered disdainfully to himself, and casually remarked, "So Wang Jun's lackeys are here too."

These words enraged Wang Jun's side, who all picked up their weapons and glared at the young man who had uttered such outrageous words.

Van Rexor did not punish the boastful "prisoner".

Instead, they seemed quite interested in his bravery, saying, "Tell me your name!"

The prisoner knelt before Vanrexor, bowing respectfully as he replied, "I come from the eastern region of the kingdom, and my name is Van Titeren. My purpose in coming to the capital is to join the Royal Knights and serve Vanrentino!"

The sound was very loud.

Van Rexor laughed heartily, seemingly full of appreciation.

"Commander, this is the man who caused a ruckus in Wang Jun's camp, killing and wounding many of our comrades!" Wang Jun's chief of staff told the commander.

The commander suddenly realized: "So it was you! You dared to say you would take my heart and kill me. I don't know if you can actually do it, but you're really brave to say something like that."

Fan turned to stare at Sadila, scrutinizing him for a while before scoffing, "So Commander Wang is an old man who's so old he even has to pant to lift a sword, and he wets his shoes when he urinates with the wind at his back?"

Sadila was speechless, her eyes wide open, almost spitting fire, and she was furious beyond control.

“Wang Jun has truly reached the end. Even if I don’t intervene, he won’t last long, will he?” Fan continued to provoke.

Then he scanned his surroundings as if he wanted to kill everyone with just his eyes.

That look was the only one that wasn't directed at Van Rexor.

“This man doesn’t take your Wangjun seriously. So I’ll hand him over to your Wangjun now and deal with him on the spot,” Vanrexor suggested to Sadila, shrugging his shoulders.

The commander didn't know if Van Rexor did it intentionally, but it would be unreasonable to let this arrogant young man leave the palace alive if he didn't offer a blood sacrifice to the fallen soldiers of the royal army today.

"Alright! Then I won't be polite!"

Sadila stood up abruptly, threw off her hat, took the rapier from her assistant, and walked to the empty space surrounded by three groups of spectators, covered with a red carpet as if it had been prepared for their duel.

Special personnel cast an invisible protective barrier around the two duelists to prevent their magical martial arts techniques from harming the three spectators.

The commander discovered that the opponent was unarmed and had no defensive equipment. However, the opponent was tall, and the commander only reached the opponent's shoulder.

Despite this, the commander remained unfazed, for he had faced even the most formidable opponents before. "Young man," he said, "you're unarmed. If I were to defeat you, I wouldn't feel right. Why don't you go back and choose a sword before we duel again?"

Seeing that the young man was eager to challenge Commander Saidila without any weapons, Wang Jun and others scoffed at him, as if he were rushing to his death.

“There’s absolutely no need for that.” Fan refused without any politeness, as if the weapon was already in his own hands. “I think you should give up your sword, old man, and be empty-handed like me, so that I don’t see you holding a sword with trembling hands later.”

Throughout her life, Seidila faced countless enemies, from barbarian commanders with whom she could not speak the language, to arrogant young adventurers from foreign lands.

But the arrogance of all these people combined is not enough to compare with the conceited young man today.

This was the first time Seidila had ever wanted to kill someone so badly, and she wanted to strangle that person.

Brahma used his iron fists as weapons. He took a step forward, his right shoulder leaning forward. His left fist was tucked into his waist in preparation for a punch, while his right forearm was raised and held in front of his chest at his side, assuming a unique ready stance to meet his enemy. The sparks from his fists flickered in the air, gathering a thick demonic aura.

In a fit of rage, Sadila drew her rapier swiftly, ignoring her enemy's fighting stance, and with light, nimble steps, thrust her first sword straight at Van's head.

Sadila's attack was extremely vicious; instead of aiming for the heart, she specifically targeted Van's head.

Brahma did not possess any weapons that could be used for defense.

It seems there's no way to avoid this fatal blow.

The rapier is known for its slender blade and powerful thrusting ability. It can even pierce through a knight's breastplate, and can easily pierce through the heart through the skin and kill instantly, not to mention the head exposed outside the armor.

Instinctively, Fan raised his right arm to defend against the rapier's attack. He channeled his internal demonic energy, stabilizing his body and solidifying his flesh into a hard shield.
