Delivery: Invincible Chicken Feet in the Underwater World

Chicken feet delivery, what's not to like?

Re-establishing the Heavenly Court

One day, a young Taoist priest came to the thatched hut where Ren Si lived. He was dressed in a plain blue Taoist robe, with his hair tied up in a golden crown and a sword box on his back. He was none other than Liao Zhen, the second disciple of Xuan Tian Sect.

Liao Zhen stepped forward and knocked (not pried open) on Ren Si's door. Ren Si saw that it was a young Taoist priest with an honest and kind face, so she asked, "What can I do for you, Taoist priest?"

Liao Zhen said, "I am Liao Zhen, the second disciple of the Sage Xuan Tian of Penglai Island in the East Sea. I have calculated that the child in your womb will be my disciple, so I have come here to take you as my disciple."

Upon hearing that it was the True Immortal Master, Ren Si immediately bowed and said, "Holy Son, may the True Immortal Master be blessed. This humble woman has been rude; please forgive me."

Liao Zhen quickly helped her up and said, "No need for formalities. Are you willing to take me on as a disciple?"

Ren Si was naturally unwilling and immediately bowed, saying, "I will leave it all to the Immortal Master."

Having made up his mind, he said, "I will come again in three years. During that time, strange beasts will come to feed you, so you don't need to worry." After saying that, he flew away on a cloud.

Ren Si bowed again, and sure enough, two days later, creatures from Penglai Island brought her food. Ren Si no longer worried about the source of food. After the people of the tribe learned that the Holy Immortal Master Liao Zhen had taken in the child in Ren Si's womb, they invited Ren Si back to live in the tribe.

Sure enough, three years later, Ren Si gave birth to a son named Lieshan. On the day of his birth, auspicious clouds descended from the sky, and a nine-colored divine dragon could be vaguely seen circling around him. After his birth, he could speak after three days and walk after five days. The clansmen were greatly surprised and suspected that he was a demon, but since the Immortal Master Liaozhen had taken him as a disciple and the clan elders had told him about the birth of Fuxi, they were relieved and no longer surprised.

It is said that Liao Zhen came three years ago, but now three years have passed and Liao Zhen has not yet arrived. Instead, other people have come. Who are they? The Taoist priest was wearing a blue veil, carrying a wandering sword on his back, wearing tattered straw sandals, and holding a broken stone in his hand. (I am not well-educated and do not know how to write this, and I have never seen Guang Chengzi before, so I do not know what he looks like.) It was none other than Guang Chengzi, the Golden Immortal of the Chan Sect.

Guang Chengzi arrived at Ren Si's home, found Ren Si, and said, "I am Guang Chengzi, a disciple of the Primordial Sage of the Chan Sect. I have calculated that I have a master-disciple relationship with your son, so I have come to take him as my disciple."

Ren Si bowed and said, "Immortal Master, it is your good fortune to accept my son as your disciple. However, my son Lieshan has already become a disciple of the Holy Father of the Human Race, the True Immortal Master, so I am afraid he will not be able to become your disciple."

Upon hearing this, Guang Chengzi was displeased, thinking to himself that the disciples of Xuantian Sect had gone too far. However, he didn't say anything more and turned to return to Kunlun Mountain. He told Yuanshi Tianzun what had happened, but Yuanshi's face remained cold, and he simply told Guang Chengzi to go and cultivate without further ado.

Not long after Guang Chengzi left, Liao Zhen arrived. After Ren Si greeted him, she told him that Guang Chengzi had come. Liao Zhen listened and waved his hand, saying, "This matter is nothing. I have come to formally accept Lieshan as my disciple."

Ren Si then led Lie Shan out, and after paying respects to Zhen, Zhen settled down in a thatched hut built by the tribe.

In the blink of an eye, more than a decade has passed, and Lieshan has grown up. During this time, under the guidance of Liaozhen, Lieshan's marrow and bones were cleansed and his foundation was built, enabling him to achieve the body of a celestial immortal. Liaozhen also preached the Dao to Lieshan, and Lieshan's cultivation advanced by leaps and bounds. In just over a decade, he actually achieved the cultivation of a Taiyi Loose Immortal.

From a young age, Lieshan harbored lofty ambitions. Now, with the human race rapidly developing and the population multiplying, they still relied on hunting, fishing, and gathering wild fruits for sustenance. Gradually, this became unsustainable, and many starved to death. Furthermore, the wilderness was teeming with ferocious birds and beasts. Although Fuxi had invented hunting and fishing techniques, casualties among hunters continued. Seeing the hardships and suffering of the human race, Lieshan felt deeply distressed but had no better solution. He personally went out hunting. With his current strength, traversing thousands of mountains and rivers was a simple matter for Lieshan; even the most inaccessible wildernesses were no obstacle to him. With this main force, he alone hunted more game each day than all the others combined, temporarily solving the tribe's food problem. But this was far from enough for Lieshan; his ambition was to improve the lives of the entire human race.

Thanks to Lieshan's help, the tribespeople were very grateful to him, and Lieshan's reputation grew higher and higher. In the end, the tribal chief elected Lieshan as the leader of the Jiang clan tribe.

After becoming the leader, Lieshan was constantly thinking of ways to solve the problems of his people's livelihood. Finally, when he had no good solution, he came to ask Zhen: "I have seen that my people often have food shortages. Although I can hunt for them, it is not a long-term solution. I can take care of my own people, but how will the people of other tribes survive? I have been thinking hard and have no solution. I would like to ask my teacher for some guidance."

Liao Zhen said, "Are you truly concerned for the well-being of all the people in the ancient world?"

Lieshan immediately bowed and said, "This disciple dares not deceive the master."

"Therefore, you may take this and plant it in the ground. Once it grows, you can harvest and eat it. Remember, you must spread this method throughout the wilderness." After saying this, Liao Zhen took out some plant seeds and gave them to Lie Shan.

"On behalf of the human race, Lieshan thanks the teacher." Lieshan was overjoyed to receive such genuine help and carefully accepted the ears of grain.

Lieshan then gathered his people, cut down trees and cleared away weeds. To make production easier, Lieshan invented tools such as axes, hoes, and plows. With these tools, they cultivated the land and began planting.

A year later, the area around the Jiang clan's tribe was covered with these five plants, which Lieshan named rice, millet, sorghum, wheat, and beans—the five grains that later generations referred to. When the grains ripened, Lieshan rubbed the ears of grain and chewed them, finding them surprisingly sweet and delicious. He was overjoyed and shared this good news with his people. After they matured, they harvested and ate them. Later, to facilitate storage, Lieshan invented a method of drying the seeds, making their spread much easier and gradually reaching other tribes.

When those tribes heard that there was a tribe with the surname Jiang who did not need to risk their lives to hunt or gather fruits, but could eat their fill simply by diligently cultivating the fields, they all submitted to him. Lieshan's fame spread far and wide, and everyone called him Shennong, meaning a magical farmer. His real name, Lieshan, was forgotten.

Lieshan governed his tribe well, but he did not forget the teachings of Zhen. In his spare time, he would travel around and promote the method of planting grains to other tribes. Gradually, Lieshan's reputation spread throughout the human race.
