Re-establishing the Heavenly Court

With the Hetu and Luoshu diagrams, and referring to the patterns on the spiritual treasure, Paoxi's understanding of the Heavenly Dao deepened. His cultivation speed also greatly increased, allowing him to expedite the process of educating the human race.

As Paoxi's fame grew, he was eventually chosen as the supreme leader of the human race with the support of other tribes. He established his capital in Chen County. On the day Paoxi became the supreme leader, all the people rejoiced. Huixin personally placed the Nine Dragons and Stars Crown on Paoxi's head to signify his status as the leader of the human race (the Nine Dragons and Stars Crown is now considered a symbol of the human leader; without it, others would not recognize the person as the leader). Paoxi could no longer stay in the Fengyan tribe, so he brought his mother, Huaxu, to Chen County.

Meanwhile, after Paoxi was chosen as the ruler of the world and came to Chen County, he had more people under his jurisdiction. He often heard reports of disasters such as wind, rain, thunder, and lightning. Moreover, when disasters struck, the human race could never escape them. Often, nine out of ten houses were empty, and countless people died or were injured.

It turns out that in the war between the witches and demons, the witches who controlled the primordial elements and the demons who controlled the sun, moon and stars were almost completely wiped out. When the sage divided the power, he only took the lion's share and took the important official positions. Naturally, he would not let his disciples do such trivial matters. The Queen Mother of the Jade Emperor reopened the Heavenly Court, but because the Investiture of the Gods had not yet taken place, there were not enough people to manage the affairs. Naturally, she could not manage it well. This was something that could not be helped.

Fuxi was deeply troubled, constantly thinking about how to avoid these losses. Every day he observed the sun by day and the moon and stars by night, and also examined the course of mountains and rivers, hoping to find the patterns that caused these disasters. But such a massive undertaking could not be completed in a short time. Even the demon master Kunpeng, with his extraordinary talent and the assistance of Dijun's innate spiritual treasures, the Hetu and Luoshu, spent countless hours comprehending the Zhou Tian Xing Dou Grand Array and fully managing the Zhou Tian stars. More than a decade passed in the blink of an eye, and Fuxi still had no clue.

That day, Fuxi came to the banks of the Luo River again, meditating and contemplating the secrets of the celestial bodies. After three days and three nights, he gained nothing and became anxious. Suddenly, he saw Huixin arrive and quickly got up to greet him.

Huixin said, "No need for formalities." She then sat down next to him and asked, "Are you pondering the root of that calamity?"

Paoxi suddenly realized that this Goddess Huixin was a disciple of the Holy Father of the Human Race, and would surely be of help to him. Overjoyed, he hurriedly said, "Indeed, I have been seeing natural disasters constantly, and I have often pondered the patterns of these disasters, but I have never been able to find any answers. I am very disappointed. Please teach me, Holy Goddess."

Seeing that Fuxi was looking at her so eagerly, Huixin sighed in her heart. When Xuantian left, he told her that if it was not necessary, she should not directly teach Fuxi the way of human survival, but let him figure it out on his own. However, Fuxi asked her many times, and finally he used her to teach the human race.

After thinking for a moment, Huixin said to Paoxi, "In that case, I can explain the theory of Yin and Yang and the Five Elements to you." Seeing Paoxi's serious expression, she continued, "In the primordial world, all things were divided into Yin and Yang and the Five Elements. Among the Five Elements are metal, wood, water, fire, and earth, and within the Five Elements, there is also the distinction between Yin and Yang. They generate and restrain each other, with endless wondrous uses. Even the cultivation of immortality and the practice of Tao must be based on this Yin and Yang and the Five Elements. Pangu separated chaos, the clear became heaven, which is Yang, and the turbid became earth, which is Yin. Pangu gave birth to all things, which belong to the Five Elements..." Huixin and Paoxi talked for a whole day and night, and Paoxi listened attentively. After Huixin finished speaking, he took out the Hetu and Luoshu and sat down to study them. Seeing that Paoxi seemed to have understood something, Huixin did not disturb him and quietly guarded him beside him.

Fuxi entered a meditative state that lasted for sixty-four days. After sixty-four days, Fuxi awoke, looked up at the sky, and laughed loudly, saying, "My Dao is complete! Humanity will have no more worries!" He then drew a Tai Chi Bagua diagram on the ground. The eight symbols—Qian, Dui, Li, Zhen, Xun, Kan, Gen, and Kun—were positioned in eight directions around the central Tai Chi diagram. This Tai Chi Bagua diagram, seemingly simple, contains the profound Dao, embodying the principle of simplicity. It encompasses astronomy, geography, and human relationships, and can be used to calculate all things. Most remarkably, even ordinary people without any magical powers can perform calculations as long as they clearly remember the meaning represented by this diagram.

With the Great Dao achieved, Fuxi's memories of his past life naturally returned. His past events flashed by one by one, and he sighed inwardly. Seeing Huixin beside him, he bowed to her. Huixin quickly avoided him. Now that Fuxi had regained his intelligence and opened his memories of his past life, he was Fuxi himself. How could she accept this?

"No, that won't do. As Nuwa's elder brother, Huixin should address you as 'Uncle-Master.' How can I accept such a bow?" Huixin quickly replied.

"I, Fuxi, will never forget the kindness of Your Majesty's teachings. Moreover, I have been reincarnated as a human, so I should treat you with the respect due to a teacher." After saying this, he bowed down again despite Huixin's attempts to stop him. Huixin had no choice but to accept it.

Huixin said, "Now that you have comprehended the ultimate principles of Taiji Bagua and achieved the Great Dao, you should first return to Chen County, pass on Taiji Bagua to the people, and then find a wise man to succeed you as the ruler, so that you can achieve your goals and leave as soon as possible!"

Fuxi bowed and agreed, then took his leave of Huixin and headed to Chen County.

After returning to Chen County, Fuxi announced that he would change his name to Fuxi. No one objected. In his spare time from handling government affairs, Fuxi passed down his Taiji Bagua and sent people to inquire about wise men in the prehistoric world. In this way, more than ten years passed in the blink of an eye.

From then on, Tai Chi and Bagua spread among the people. Because Tai Chi and Bagua were created by Fu Xi, people also called them Fu Xi Bagua in commemoration of Fu Xi...

The Forty-Five Shennongs Emerge

In the primordial era, there was a human tribe near the Wei River, whose surname was Jiang. Among the tribe was a woman named Ren Si. One day, Ren Si was traveling on Mount Hua when she saw a nine-colored divine dragon and became pregnant.

After the human race elected Fuxi as their leader, they implemented Fuxi's theory of marriage. The human race changed its previous bad habits. Ren Si became pregnant out of wedlock, and the people in the tribe looked down on her and drove her out of the tribe. Fortunately, Ren Si was kind to others and had many good sisters who often helped her and kept her from starving. However, the human race's population is growing rapidly and food is scarce, so they are always hungry.
