Zhou Yanci strode in suddenly, trying to snatch the medicine.

Shang Wu blocked him and said coldly, "Lu Rang had an allergic reaction because of me. What's wrong with me giving him medicine to save him?"

Zhou Yanci stared intently at her, her face pale.

Shang Wu, who was once like a confidante to him, now protects other men and is full of thorns and hostility towards him.

Shang Wu has never cared about anyone but him. How could she go to the Zhou family in the middle of the night to take the expensive medicine he bought and give it to someone else just to save them?

Zhou Yanci's voice trembled: "Awu, do you know how much this is worth? What is he that you would use the Nine Yang Pill to save him!"

His chest heaved violently.

Shang Wu continued to stare at him coldly, unmoved: "Yes, he deserves it."

Lu Rang looked up from behind her.

Zhou Yanci's lips moved, uttering dry syllables.

"What?"

Shang Wu repeated, "Lu Rang is worth saving. Stop making trouble and get out."

Zhou Yanci's fingertips twitched, then she curled up helplessly.

He gave a wry smile: "If it weren't for saving Lu Rang, would you have even called me tonight?"

Shang Wu narrowed her eyes, too lazy to pretend with him: "Yes."

"Shang Wu!" Zhou Yanci roared, pulling her close and asking almost frantically, "Do you still love me?! Do you still love me?!"

Shang Wu's wrist was gripped so tightly it turned red, and she winced in pain.

Lu Rang's expression turned cold: "Let go."

Zhou Yanci's forehead veins bulged. "This is my fiancée, my future wife! I can touch her however I want, and it's none of your business!"

"I'll say it again, let her go." Lu Rang clenched his fist, his eyes filled with a cold warning, as if he would explode at any moment.

Shang Wu couldn't take it anymore and tried to break free, but Zhou Yanci held her even tighter.

She gasped in pain.

The almost inaudible hissing sound seemed to have triggered a switch on Lu Rang.

A gust of wind brushed past Shang Wu's face, and Lu Rang's fist slammed solidly into Zhou Yanci's face.

Zhou Yanci was forced to release Shang Wu, staggered a few steps, and tried to rush over to fight back, but Yan Yue suddenly barged in with his men.

"Hold him down!"

Yan Yue shouted, and several bodyguards seized Zhou Yanci.

Zhou Yanci struggled in vain, still staring intently at Lu Rang, wishing she could kill him.

Shang Wu rubbed her swollen wrist.

Lu Rang found the sight jarring and shouted in a deep voice, "Drag him out and get the medicine!"

"No, I want to talk to him alone."

Shang Wu walked over and gestured for the bodyguards to move aside.

Lu Rang pursed his lips for a few seconds, then lifted his eyelids and told the bodyguard to release the person.

Shang Wu went straight out.

Seeing that Lu Rang looked unwell, Yan Yue quickly helped him up, asking, "Are you alright?"

"No, you go and keep an eye on him, make sure he doesn't hurt Shang Wu." Lu Rang endured his dizziness and discomfort, and sat down on the edge of the bed.

Yan Yue glanced at his reddened knuckles, sighed, and left.

At the end of the corridor, Zhou Yanci wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth and looked at Shang Wu with an indifferent expression.

He gave a bitter laugh: "Awu, do you know what's most ridiculous? When you asked me for medicine for another man, I even told my mother that since you rarely come to me, I'll give you whatever you want."

Zhou Yanci took out a diamond ring from her pocket.

"I was thinking that once the diamond ring I ordered for you arrived, and we set a wedding date, I would propose to you again. But suddenly I'm scared. Ah Wu, tell me, are you still willing to marry me?"

Shang Wu glanced at the diamond ring in his hand.

Big and shiny enough.

Her expression turned cold, and she looked away.

"I'm very confused and can't answer your question. Now is not a good time to talk about these things. You should go back."

Zhou Yanci refused to leave, her heart filled with unease: "Why can't you answer? Are you completely disappointed in me, or is it because of Lu Rang? Give me a straight answer."

A hint of impatience flashed in Shang Wu's eyes: "This has nothing to do with others. Don't provoke Lu Rang and Zhou Yanci again. I'm not a saint. Do you think it's possible that seeing you and Shen Mian having an affair and having a child would make me pack up and go get a marriage certificate with you right away?"

Zhou Yanci opened his mouth, but was speechless for a moment.

"You can go first. I'll transfer the money to you for the Nine Yang Pill; consider it my payment."

Shang Wu turned her back, looking listless.

Zhou Yanci took a deep breath and murmured, "No need, give it to that guy surnamed Lu."

Shang Wu remained silent, waiting for him to leave.

Zhou Yanci turned to leave, but after taking two steps, she called out to her again.

“A-Wu”.

Shang Wu turned back.

Zhou Yanci's expression was gloomy, but he forced a smile: "From childhood to adulthood, whatever I want, I will get it no matter the cost. I am willing to do anything and use any means necessary."

Hearing his words, Shang Wu instantly thought of her family and company.

Her eyes darkened: "I know, I know you're that kind of person."

"You can ignore me because I did something wrong, but never let me find out that you've fallen for someone else."

Zhou Yanci suddenly smiled, her eyes upturned at the corners, but a storm was brewing in her eyes.

"Otherwise, I will stop at nothing to get you back."

Shang Wu clenched his fist tightly.

She had no doubt that if Zhou Yanci was pushed to the limit, she would really take action against Lu Rang.

She took too much from Zhou Yanci.

Chengzhou's CEO position, shares, and Zhou Yanci's reputation for using her to improve her life.

She is now the object of everyone in the Zhou family's eagerness to win her over; she is a resource they are willing to risk everything to secure.

This is why Shang Wu hasn't dared to completely break off relations yet.

The case against the business owner needs to be expedited; we can't allow Zhou Yanci to continue committing crimes outside.
