[Fantasy + Military Romance + Space + Revenge on Villains + Wife-Pampering + Family Life]
In her previous life, Su Wantang broke off her engagement with a military officer to escape a deceitf...
"Eat?" she murmured, then approached him step by step. "I've been a slave to your Liu family for five years, eating leftovers, wearing old clothes, enduring beatings and scoldings, and almost dying on the bed while giving birth... Do you think I'd do this for your Liu family's food?"
Her voice suddenly rose, and the resentment and pain that had been suppressed for too long and penetrated to the bone erupted at this moment, turning into an invisible, sharp dagger that pierced straight at him!
“I’m telling you, Liu Jianjun!” She pointed at the pile of ashes in the furnace, her words dripping with blood, “You’re burning paper, but you can’t burn the words that are etched into my bones! Do you think that by destroying it, I’ll still be that stupid fool that you and your mother can mold and manipulate at will?”
She rushed forward and, with all her might, not by grabbing or scratching, but by punching him hard in the chest!
Liu Jianjun groaned as she struck him, staggering back two steps, staring in shock at the completely different woman before him. She's gone mad! She's really gone mad!
"You dare hit me!" he roared, raising his hand to strike back.
But as his hand rose into the air, it met Liu Fen's eyes, which were burning with a mad flame.
"Go ahead and hit me! Kill me today! If you kill me, I'll tell the King of Hell how you, Liu Jianmin, sold your own daughter for fifty yuan and how you drove your wife to her death! I'll haunt you even as a ghost!" she screamed shrilly, like a mother wolf driven to the brink of despair, letting out her final howl.
This reckless madness momentarily stunned Liu Jianjun.
Taking advantage of his momentary daze, Liu Fen turned and ran out. She took nothing with her, and didn't even glance back at her sleeping daughter in the inner room.
She knew that staying would only make things more dangerous for her in her current state. She had to leave!
"Stop right there!" Liu Jianjun realized what was happening and chased after him to the door, yelling.
Liu Fen didn't stop for a moment, rushing into the deep night like a madwoman.
"Fine! You've got guts!" Liu Jianjun's roar rang out behind her, torn apart by the night wind. "If you leave, don't ever come back! I want to see how you, this barren hen, will survive without me!"
Old Mrs. Li was also awakened. She threw on her clothes and came out, only to find her son's ashen face and the empty courtyard. "What's going on? What mischief has that jinx been up to now?"
Liu Jianjun kicked the doorframe, gritting his teeth and cursing, "This is outrageous! She got away! Let her get away! It would be better if she died out there!"
At that moment, Liu Fen, who had rushed out of the family compound, was like a soulless shell, running aimlessly through the darkness. She didn't know where she was going; her mind was blank. The salty sea breeze blew on her face, carrying a biting chill, and she realized that she had unknowingly run to the beach.
The black tide crashed against the rocks again and again, producing a dull and enormous roar, as if it wanted to swallow the whole world.
Liu Fen stopped and stood there blankly.
Behind him was a cannibalistic cage.
Before me lay a bottomless, icy sea. (This chapter has been finished. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
