A murmur of discussion arose, and the gazes directed at the two instantly shifted from curiosity to admiration and shock.

Su Wantang felt a little embarrassed by the scene, her cheeks flushing slightly. She quietly tugged at Lu Linchuan's sleeve, but the latter remained as steady as a mountain, simply replying, "It's what we should do."

The seriousness on Wang Jianguo's face melted away, replaced by an approving smile. He took a folded banner from his colleague behind him and unfolded it with both hands.

On the bright red flag are two lines of powerful, gold-embossed characters: "Wise and brave, wholeheartedly serving the people."

"This is a banner specially made by the bureau for the two comrades, representing the gratitude of all our police officers and the families of the rescued children."

A chorus of barely suppressed gasps of amazement erupted in the carriage, and some even led the applause, which quickly spread throughout the carriage.

Looking at the banner, Su Wantang felt a surge of warmth in her heart. All the fear and tension she had felt before turned into a feeling of pride.

Wang Jianguo solemnly handed the banner to Lu Linchuan, and then took out a thick kraft paper envelope.

"In addition, according to the regulations on rewarding acts of bravery, the bureau also applied for a bonus of 500 yuan for the two comrades."

"five hundred?!"

Someone gasped in shock; the number was like a thunderbolt, causing the entire carriage to erupt in chaos.

This composure and calmness earned him even more respect from the surrounding passengers.

The carriage returned to calm, but the atmosphere was completely different from before.

Lu Linchuan felt that Su Wantang was his lucky star, and good luck had been coming his way ever since he got together with her.

Su Wantang held the heavy envelope in her hand, smiled slightly, and said, "You're giving it all to me? Aren't you going to keep some for yourself?"

"Everything I have is yours. You can spend the money you're given as you see fit, however you want." The man looked at the woman in front of him with tender eyes.
