The man seemed to notice her movement, and steadily stepped on the pedal, speaking softly.

"Wife, sit tight."

His voice was deep, yet exceptionally pleasant to hear.

The bicycle rounded a bend, and not far away, a figure froze in place.

Zheng Nana had just come out of the house, carrying a basin of water that she was about to pour out, when her expression froze instantly.

She stared intently at the departing bicycle, watching Su Wantang lean affectionately against Lu Linchuan's back; the sight stung her eyes.

The whispers of her sisters-in-law were like needles, piercing her heart.

"Why should I!"

Zheng Nana's fingers, gripping the rim of the basin, turned white at the knuckles, and her meticulously manicured nails were almost embedded in her flesh.

That position should have been hers!

Lu Linchuan should be her man too!

What seductive tricks did Su Wantang use?

The bicycle quickly disappeared at the end of the road. Zheng Nana's chest heaved violently. She suddenly splashed a basin of water on the ground, not caring that the water had soaked her trouser legs.

She turned around and slammed the door shut with a loud bang.

The car was parked next to a secluded beach. The seawater was crystal clear, and a few locals were scattered on the sand, gathering seafood.

Su Wantang took off her shoes and stepped barefoot onto the soft sand. She bent down, picked up a seashell, and examined it closely in her palm.

"The seashells here are very beautiful."

Lu Linchuan stood behind her, looking at her focused profile, a warm feeling welling up in his heart. He had never imagined that he would have such a peaceful and beautiful moment with a woman.

"How about trying beachcombing?" Lu Linchuan pointed to the villagers who were busy in the distance.

Su Wantang nodded, "I had a lot of good stuff from my last beachcombing trip, and I want to try my luck again this time."

They followed the locals to the shallows exposed by the receding tide. As the seawater receded, many small holes were left on the beach, hiding places for various kinds of seafood.

"Look, here!" Su Wantang squatted down and carefully dug in the sand. In no time, she had a plump clam in her hand.

Lu Linchuan tried to imitate her, but his movements were clearly not as skillful as Su Wantang's. Every time he dug halfway, the seafood would burrow even deeper.

"You need to hurry." Su Wantang couldn't help but laugh. She took Lu Linchuan's hand and taught him the correct method, "When you see a bubble, dig it down quickly, don't hesitate."

Lu Linchuan's heart raced as she held his hand. He nodded and did as she said, finally digging out a crab.

"You're really amazing." Lu Linchuan looked at Su Wantang's net bag, which was already filled with a lot of seafood, including clams, crabs, sea snails, and even a few abalone that were not small.

Not far away, a middle-aged woman was watching Su Wantang's catch with envy. She walked over and said with a smile, "Young lady, you're so lucky! I've been chasing crabs all morning and haven't even caught a decent one."

Su Wantang smiled politely, "Auntie, look at this area, the places where the sand is a little darker have more seafood."

"Really? Thank you!" the woman said happily.

"You guys are really lucky; the sea is exceptionally calm today." Looking at the seafood in Su Wantang's net, the other person couldn't help but praise her again, "Your catch could fetch a good price at the market!"

Su Wantang smiled but didn't say anything.

"Wife, wait here for me, I'll be right back," Lu Linchuan said.
