Chapter 4 Yu Yin and Yu Yin

Yu Yin was born in 1990. Her parents divorced when she was six years old. She lived with her father, mother, grandmother and maternal grandmother. Because her parents remarried quickly after the divorce, Yu Yin had half-siblings.

Little Yu Yin learned to read people's expressions, to give way to her younger siblings, and to please her uncles and aunts. Just like the lyrics say, her father had one family, her mother had one family, and she was left alone, seemingly superfluous.

When she finally reached junior high school, Yu Yin chose the only boarding school and began her boarding life. After graduating from university, unable to bear her parents' interference, she quit her job and went to live alone in Xishuangbanna. However, while picking mushrooms in the mountains, she fell off a cliff and transmigrated into the body of Yu Yin, who died in childbirth in 1970.

Influenced by her parents, Yu Yin was determined not to date, not to get married, and not to have children. Unexpectedly, she ended up not only married but also having a child. Who can she complain to?

Yu Yin, born in 1950, has a father who is a soldier and a mother who is a nurse at a military hospital. She has a smart older brother, a strong-willed older sister, and her brother, who was born at the same time, is also outgoing and sociable—a child adults say will be successful in the future. Even her younger brother, twelve years her junior, seems to have more presence than her, even though she practically raised him single-handedly.

As for Yu Yin, whether it was because she was in her mother's womb for too long when she was born, or for some other reason, she was always a bit slow in doing things from a young age. And Yu's mother was from Sichuan Province, with a fiery temper, and she always spoke quickly and urgently, which Yu Yin could never keep up with.

From childhood, Yu Yin had a low profile at home. It wasn't that she was deliberately ignored, but rather that she couldn't keep up with everyone else's pace, and over time she became less talkative. Only her twin brother, Yu Jun, perhaps feeling that he was born too late and that this was why his sister was like this, always took care of her and tolerated her.

Because of her father's job, Yu Yin was frequently transferred. Her hometown is in Northeast China, and after she was twelve, she moved with her father to the Kunming Military Region, and later to Xishuangbanna. As a result, Yu Yin didn't have many close friends growing up. She was a slow-moving person; she moved again before she could even get to know everyone.

In 1965, Yu Yin was admitted to a vocational school, while her twin brother Yu Jun continued to high school. Her eldest brother graduated from university and was assigned to the Yangshi Shipyard as an engineer, which could be considered a kind of homecoming.

In 1966, the situation changed drastically. Yu Jun, who had just graduated from high school, had no university to take the entrance exam for. He prepared at home for a year before his father sent him to become a paratrooper. Yu Yin became even more withdrawn.

In 1968, Yu Yin, a graduate of a vocational school, was assigned to work in Menghai County, where her father worked. She majored in accounting and earned 36.5 yuan in her first month's salary. She was overjoyed, as this was the first money she had earned on her own.

Yu Yin was quiet and slow to react from a young age, but fortunately she was a good student, otherwise her mother would have made her repeat a grade. Fortunately, she was always in the same class as Yu Jun and was not bullied until she graduated from junior high school. Yu Yin wanted to start working as soon as possible, so she chose to take the entrance exam for a vocational school and was eventually accepted.

Yu Jun wanted to attend a military academy, but after graduating from high school, the college entrance examination was suspended. He had no choice but to take the exam for the air force, which was recruiting, and he became a paratrooper, serving in another city. Yu Yin lived in a vocational school dormitory. When she came home for holidays, her younger brother would constantly chatter behind her.

In 1968, a large number of educated youth came to Yunnan, specifically to Xishuangbanna. This originally had nothing to do with Yu Yin, but fate is a strange thing. Due to an accident, she came into contact with one of the educated youth, triggering a series of events.

Because of this accident, Yu Yin and Lu Shurui, a sent-down youth from Shanghai, were forced to marry. These two strangers awkwardly formed a family, unable to live like a normal married couple, and agreed to divorce when the opportunity arose.

Due to another accident, the two had sex and she became pregnant on the first try. A series of unexpected events disrupted their plans, and they could only give birth to the child first. Unexpectedly, another accident occurred, Yu Yin passed away, and Yu Yin arrived.

Yu Yin's childhood was unfortunate. She grew up amidst her parents' arguments and the sounds of things being smashed. She was extremely sensitive to sound; even a slightly loud noise or the sound of something falling and breaking would cause her to reflexively hide.

Later, with the dissenting voices gone, Yu Yin lost her home.

After her parents divorced, she became a hot potato, moving between her grandparents' and maternal grandparents' homes. If any family was a day late in picking her up, she would hear complaints from her uncles, aunts, or maternal uncles and aunts. She learned to read people's expressions and to carefully try to please them.

Later, her parents remarried, and she lived under the watchful eyes of her stepfather and stepmother. Many times she wanted to disappear completely, and she even put a knife to her wrist, but she didn't have the courage to press it down hard.

Yu Yin grew up peacefully without depression, learning skills to support herself; that's because she was lucky, and the King of Hell didn't take her.

Later, she came to terms with it, ran away from her parents, hid far away, relaxed, greeted the sunrise and bid farewell to the sunset, and life finally had flavor.

Savoring the food I made myself and sipping a cup of light tea, I realized that life can be lived this way.

However, unexpectedly, he arrived in the 1970s. What kind of life will he have?

Yu Yin's childhood was lonely. Her parents were busy making a living, and her older brother and sister disliked her slow reaction and gave up communicating with her after a few attempts. Only her twin brother stayed by her side and protected her all the way, which was the warmth in her heart.

As she grew up, she separated from her brother and devoted all her care to her younger brother, just as her brother had cared for her in the past.

I got a job, earned a salary, and bought my dream house. I now have my own home. Although I spent almost all of my savings, I'm still happy.

However, an accident occurred, forcing her to marry a complete stranger. The two agreed to separate when they found a chance, but another accident happened, resulting in a child. They thought they would just live like this.

Unexpected events struck again; she suffered a difficult childbirth and her life hung by a thread. Death was not something Yu Yin feared; she had always felt that her life was an accident, something that shouldn't exist. However, she couldn't bear to part with her children, children she had felt moving in their wombs.

Fortunately, Yu Yin arrived. She used all the luck she had in her life to provide the three of them with a means to survive, and then she could disappear in peace.

Life and death, in the blink of an eye, the track has changed.

Yu Yin disappeared without a trace of regret. She no longer needed to be lonely. In her short twenty years of life, she left nothing behind and lost nothing. Her traces would slowly fade until nothing remained.

Yu Yin, ten years younger, has a child she can love with complete peace of mind, and has completely escaped her suffocating parents and past. She now has a brand new life.

In an era of material scarcity, where manual labor has replaced machines, we breathe unpolluted air, eat purely organic food, and experience a warm and welcoming atmosphere, thus beginning a new chapter in our lives.
