There have been instances where grassroots members of the Fireseed Base have attempted to "rebel," but each rebellion was small in scale, involving only a few scattered individuals.

These people were either reported by those around them as soon as they had this intention, or they were secretly executed by Li Yi's intelligence agents, so they couldn't cause any trouble at all.

However, due to a series of reasons, the long-term oppression and injustice suffered by ordinary people finally reached a critical point and erupted completely.

Nearly one-sixth of the participants in the rally and protests, a staggering 90,000 people, plus their relatives and friends, brought the total to at least 200,000.

Under such circumstances, the old "appeasement tactics" are no longer effective.

In order to completely intimidate the restless lower-level citizens within the Fireseed Base, Li Yi decided to take unprecedentedly tough measures to quell the turmoil with an iron fist.

This was a scenario he had envisioned when he first established the Spark Base.

Although he shouted slogans loudly, slogans are just slogans after all. Even if those grassroots people are stupid, they will eventually wake up one day under his long-term oppression.

They firmly believe that whatever decision Li Yi makes is for a better future for the Fireseed Base and for the happiness of them, the grassroots base residents.

Of course, it's impossible to tell how many people are truly loyal and how many are forced to show loyalty out of fear.

He slightly raised his chin, his gaze piercing, as if he could penetrate the crowd and see directly into the true emotions hidden behind fear and anger.

"Fellow fund investors," Li Yi's voice resounded across the square through the loudspeaker, carrying an undeniable authority, "Heaven has been unkind, sending down an extreme cold disaster. Our human civilization is in grave danger. In order to protect the spark of human civilization and to continue the hope of human civilization, I have established this Spark Base."

"It is no easy feat for the Fireseed Base to have come this far in this apocalyptic world. It is inseparable from the joint efforts and selfless dedication of our many base members." Li Yi's voice softened slightly, trying to find a balance between firmness and appeasement. "I know that some of you are dissatisfied with the management and treatment of the base. This is a normal emotion, and I understand and am willing to listen."

He paused, seemingly giving the Christians a chance to accept his words, but the square remained oppressively silent.

“However,” Li Yi’s tone turned stern again, “understanding does not mean condoning. In this world fraught with crises, we must unite and face external threats together. Any attempt to divide us or undermine our unity is a betrayal of all human civilization.”

“Among our lovely Fireseed citizens, there are also bad people!” Li Yi feigned a pained expression. “They are blinded by greed, selfishness, and hatred, attempting to overthrow the order we have worked so hard to establish. What do you think we should do about such people?”

A cold glint flashed in Li Yi's eyes, and his voice echoed through the loudspeaker like a cold blade slicing through the silent square.

"Kill! Kill! Kill!" Some of the Christians below shouted hysterically, their voices echoing across the square, creating a chilling wave.

But not everyone responded to this harsh call.

Many more chose to remain silent, their eyes revealing complex emotions: fear, anger, helplessness, and even despair for the future.

In this silent sea, only a very few people attempt to communicate with their eyes, conveying sympathy and compassion for each other's fate.

Li Yi coldly observed all of this, then said in a cold voice, "Those saboteurs enjoy the blessings the base provides, yet they intend to cause destruction. Their crimes are unforgivable and they deserve to die ten thousand times!"

Li Yi waved his hand and said, "Pass on my order: throw them all into the base's energy furnace, let the flames cleanse their sinful souls, and let the burning of their bodies contribute their last bit of power to the Fire Seed Base's energy!" Li Yi's words were cold and resolute, as if every word contained endless chilling intent that pierced the heart.

As he gave the order, an ice wall in the snow pit dungeon suddenly opened, revealing a smooth, sloping passage. At the end of the passage was the large energy furnace of the Fire Seed Base.

This energy furnace is the heart of the Fire Seed Base. Inside its enormous chamber, roaring flames burn day and night, providing the base with the energy it needs for daily operations.
