Chapter 1 Framed

"But I... am still your wife." Jiang Wanyan couldn't help sobbing.

Her embarrassment only earned He Ming's ridicule. He raised his eyebrows and said with a half-smile, "Are you qualified to say you are my wife?"

Jiang Wanyan felt nauseous and leaned against the wall to dry heave. Her stomach was empty and she couldn't vomit anything out.

He Ming looked at her with disgust and said coldly, "Don't dirty my office."

Jiang Wanyan's eyes were filled with tears. Without even raising her head, she turned around, pushed the door open, and fled from this place.

After running two steps, she walked to the assistant's desk and took the food box away.

In the office, He Ming looked irritably at Chu Qing'er who was sitting leisurely on the sofa.

Chu Qing'er immediately stood up, raised her hand and said innocently, "I really didn't know she would come."

He Ming opened the door and said calmly, "I told you not to come to me casually."

Chu Qing'er pulled the suspenders that had slipped off her shoulders back onto her shoulders and said obediently, "I understand. I'll be more careful next time."

After saying that, she slowly left the office. Just as she reached the door and turned around, the door slammed shut with a bang, less than a centimeter away from her nose.

She narrowed her eyes, went downstairs, and asked Annie, "Annie, did you see where that woman went just now?"

Annie thought for a moment and pointed in a direction. "It seems to be going that way."

When Jiang Wanyan arrived, the sky was clear and the scorching sun made people dizzy, but when she left, a drizzle began to fall and the heat was so stuffy that it was hard to breathe.

Jiang Wanyan stood at the bus stop with a lunch box in her hand.

The bus stopped and moved again. It took her a long time to come back to her senses. She looked at the lunch box in her hand and threw it into the trash can.

The stench from the trash can made her stomach churn. She took two steps back and bumped into someone with her back.

"I'm sorry..."

Before she could finish her words, she saw Chu Qing'er staring at her with a ferocious look on her face.

Jiang Wanyan pretended not to see her. Chu Qing'er pulled her and said harshly, "Don't think you can have a place in the He family. No one in the He family will like you! No matter how much you give, it won't change anything!"

"I don't understand what you are saying." Jiang Wanyan took a breath and replied calmly.

Chu Qing'er looked at her suspiciously for a while, thinking about how to solve the trouble in front of her.

She saw a familiar car out of the corner of her eye, her eyes rolled, and a very risky method that could completely get rid of the thorn in her side came to her mind.

Jiang Wanyan took two steps and was suddenly pulled by the person behind her and couldn't stand steadily. She subconsciously struggled to break free from the hand that was holding her, but at that moment, the strong Chu Qing'er somehow became weak.

Chu Qing'er fell on the road, looked at the bus in front of her and screamed.

Jiang Wanyan's breath caught in her throat. She froze in place. The bus barely stopped, and the driver yelled, "Stop fighting on the road! Are you trying to save your life?"

Jiang Wanyan hurriedly went to pull Chu Qing'er, but the latter was trembling with tears on her face. She pushed Jiang Wanyan away fiercely.

"You, you come here first..." Jiang Wanyan said anxiously, not caring about the scratches on her palm.

Chu Qing'er seemed to be possessed. She screamed and cried, and refused to leave the middle of the road.

The people on the bus became impatient and stuck their heads out to see who was blocking the road.

A car stopped behind the bus. He Ming got out and strode up to Jiang Wanyan. He looked at her with a dark face, "Shame on you."

Jiang Wanyan shook her head, realizing that he had misunderstood something, and explained hurriedly: "I didn't push her..."

"Shut up," He Ming pulled her up roughly, stuffed her into the car, and ordered the driver, "Send her back and make sure she gets into the house."

Jiang Wanyan held her aching wrist and watched her husband walk up to another woman in front of her, then nervously and carefully picked up the woman.

Jiang Wanyan didn't remember why she returned to the He family mansion. She sat in the room for the entire afternoon.

As night fell, the pouring rain drowned out the sound of car horns. When the door was kicked open, Jiang Wanyan's ears buzzed, as if someone had covered her head with an iron basin and hit her hard with a hammer.

He Ming grabbed Jiang Wanyan's arm without saying a word. Even though Jiang Wanyan gasped in pain, he showed no mercy and forcefully dragged her into the rain.

The cold rain poured down on her body, and Jiang Wanyan suddenly woke up. She held He Ming's hand and shouted, "He Ming! Where are you taking me?"

He Ming finally turned around and gave her a look. He pulled Jiang Wanyan in front of him, looked into her eyes, and asked sternly, "Do you know that you almost killed Chu Qing'er?"

"She fell by herself, I didn't push her..."

"Stop quibbling. How could Chu Qing'er joke about her own life?"

Jiang Wanyan was embarrassed, but He Ming refused to listen to a word she said. He dragged her all the way to the ancestral hall before stopping. He pressed her shoulder and said in a deep voice, "Reflect on yourself here."

The hand on her shoulder felt like it weighed a thousand pounds. Jiang Wanyan couldn't move. Her knees were in unbearable pain and were bruised.

He Ming was determined to make her kneel here, and Jiang Wanyan knew there was no room for negotiation.

She looked at He Ming almost pleadingly, but he just gave her a cold look and turned away without mercy.

The sky and the earth were pitch black, and the candlelight in the ancestral hall was flickering, making it seem even more eerie.

Jiang Wanyan was soaked all over. She was not feeling well, her face was pale and her abdomen was cramping with pain. She thought vaguely that it was probably because she had a stomachache because she hadn't eaten.

There was someone holding an umbrella next to her. Jiang Wanyan was startled. When she raised her head, she saw He Ming standing one step away. The rain hit the umbrella and fell on Jiang Wanyan.

The last glimmer of hope was cruelly extinguished in the heavy rain.

Jiang Wanyan's pale lips trembled slightly. She covered her stomach and said with difficulty: "He Ming, my stomach hurts."
