Chapter 106 Taking her to Myanmar
"So, now you don't need to worry about buying your wife sex toys or lingerie, right?"
Fu Yungui suppressed his laughter, unsure of the meaning behind his joke, but his tone became more amiable, "Of course, but Mr. Bai Jin should know my rules, right?"
Birkin extinguished his cigarette. "Of course, but I have one condition: if Mr. Fu agrees, I'll have someone transfer the money to you right now."
"explain."
The man leaned back on the sofa, propping himself up with his hand as he watched him, waiting for what was to come.
"You must deliver this yourself."
"where?"
He usually doesn't deliver the goods himself, but if the customer requests it and the quantity is large, he won't refuse.
“Shan State,” Perkin said simply.
Shan State is a state in northern Myanmar. It contains political and military entities that are nominally part of Shan State, such as Kokang and Wa State, and some areas are part of the Golden Triangle.
The Golden Triangle refers to a triangular region located at the border of Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos in Southeast Asia. It is one of the few places in the world that is not governed by any national government, which has facilitated the production and trafficking of drugs.
Therefore, the Golden Triangle has become synonymous with drugs in a certain sense.
But why transport weapons there?
Although Shan State had sharp conflicts with the Myanmar government, it seceded from the Union of Myanmar and became an independent state in 1993.
Fu Yungui couldn't figure it out for a moment, but in this line of work, he never asked about the buyer's purpose or use. As long as he received the money and delivered the goods, it was none of his business.
"Sure," he agreed readily.
“Okay.” Birkin immediately stood up with a smile. “In that case, let’s sign the contract right away, and I’ll have someone transfer the money.”
“Okay.” Fu Yungui also got up from the sofa. “But since Mr. Bai Jin is so agreeable, I’d like to make an idea as well.”
Upon hearing this, Bai Jin was taken aback. "Go on," he said.
"You need to sign this contract in your older brother's name."
Having the names of high-ranking government officials is like having leverage over someone; he won't be afraid of them turning on him one day.
Parkin asked, puzzled, "Why?"
The man chuckled, speaking in a joking tone, "Because his name can get you a discount, those guns are yours for free."
"Really?" Birkin didn't know why he had suddenly become so agreeable about the price.
"It couldn't be more real." The man said with a half-smile.
“Of course.” With a batch of free weapons at his disposal, Birkin readily agreed. “However, this contract must not be known to anyone else.”
"That's no problem."
He won't disregard the rules of the trade as long as you don't offend him.
After the two parties signed the contract, Birkin left.
With the delivery date set for three days later, Fu Yungui prepared to fly directly from Istanbul to Myanmar the following day.
In the afternoon, the man gave Sawa and the others a day off, letting them go and enjoy themselves. Since they had come all this way, they couldn't leave empty-handed.
He then lay down alone on the deck chair on the balcony and closed his eyes to rest.
As evening approached, the sunset cast a golden glow on the water, and the beach became even more crowded, but the figure from before was nowhere to be found.
However, Huang Momo in her wedding dress seemed to be imprinted in the man's mind. Even though he couldn't see her, everything he saw reminded him of her.
As Fu Yungui felt the sea breeze coming from the other side, for some reason, he suddenly remembered what the old man had said that day.
Make him give Huang Momo an explanation.
That's true, even if you take it over, you can't just leave it without any official status or recognition.
But if I really married Huang Momo, it wouldn't be bad. It would be quite fun to tease her every day when I had nothing to do.
Thinking this, the man couldn't help but smile, and then took out his phone to call Sawa.
Sawa was playing with a girl, and halfway through, he almost spat out his drink because of a phone call.
He quickly straightened his clothes, glanced at the person on the bed who looked like she was starving, and said apologetically, "Girl, I'll have to come back to you next time."
The woman's face darkened, but the next second she saw the thick Turkish lira bills being swung at her, and she immediately looked up again.
"I hope to see you again next time," she said to Sawa's retreating figure.
Night Hawk didn't go with them this time; instead, Fu Yungui left him behind to secretly protect Momo.
After Buddy died, he was afraid that someone would target him. He didn't care whether it was overt or covert, but he had family members at home.
He's someone who doesn't really have any ability to save himself.
If she weren't protected, with her intelligence and strength, she could probably kidnap anyone.
So the man messaged Nighthawk on his way to Istanbul.
Night Hawk received the order and didn't dare to delay for a moment, driving over immediately.
The people in the house didn't notice Wendy after she left until noon when someone brought her lunch and they saw her come downstairs.
Night Hawk took a picture in the car and sent it to the man. In the picture, through the huge floor-to-ceiling window, the girl was sitting obediently at the dining table eating.
Fu Yungui quickly replied, asking him to take Huang Momo to Myanmar.
After confirming the information with Night Hawk again, he immediately got out of the car and went into the house.
Momo was having a meal when she saw the person who came and was taken aback, thinking that he had come to see Fu Yungui.
"He's not here," Momo said timidly. She was always afraid of this man named Night Hawk; he was always expressionless.
Night Hawk nodded. "I know. Brother Yun asked me to pick you up and take you to Myanmar."
Why go to Myanmar?
Momo was filled with fear of that place. Although she had never been there, the news from the outside world was enough to frighten her—fear of the unknown.
"Ask Brother Yun when you get there. I'm just responsible for following orders." Night Hawk said, glancing at the bowl on the table, which still had half a bowl of rice left. "Eat first, then tidy up. We'll set off in a bit."
The man's words left no room for negotiation, so Momo had no choice but to ask again, "Where is Fu Yungui? Is he in Myanmar?"
She didn't see him when she came downstairs this morning, so she guessed he had gone out.
"He's in Istanbul, but he's going back tomorrow."
"Oh." Momo didn't ask any more questions, because she knew that no matter how many questions she asked, it wouldn't change the fact that she was going to be taken to Myanmar.
She returned to the table, but her chopsticks moved slowly, poking at the bowl, and she had no appetite at all.
He was so angry when he left this morning, and now he wants someone to take him to Myanmar. What is he trying to do?
Momo became more and more frightened as she thought about it; if she died there, no one would even know.
However, she had no choice but to pack her things and follow the man named Night Hawk.
Momo lost her appetite and simply put down her chopsticks to go upstairs and pack her things.
She didn't know how long she would be gone, or if she would ever have a chance to come back, so she packed all her luggage with her, including the things Wendy had given her, and stuffed them all into her suitcase.
