Chapter 107 Passing By Bian Xi

Chapter 107 Passing By Bian Xi

As it was getting dark, Momo got into the car.

The journey was so bumpy that she was too tired to bear it any longer. She closed her eyes and leaned against the side of the car in the back for a while, and then she fell into a deep sleep.

When she opened her eyes again, the eastern sky was already turning white, and they had entered Myanmar.

"We'll be there soon, in about an hour," Night Hawk, who was focused on driving, said to her when he saw she was awake.

Momo rubbed her eyes and then nodded to indicate that she had heard.

She opened the car window to let in some fresh air, because the morning breeze was quite cool.

The car drove along a narrow road, surrounded by low bushes and underdeveloped, dense shrubs. But looking further into the distance, there were semi-wild mango trees bearing plum-sized fruits that exuded the smell of turpentine.

A moment later, the sound of cars came from ahead. Although the sound was blocked by the trees on both sides, Night Hawk could tell from the sound that several cars were coming from the opposite direction.

Because it was difficult for other cars to pass on the narrow road, he started to move to the left, close to the side of the road, as soon as he saw the car, in order to let it pass.

Momo was sitting on the right. She saw the yellow dust being kicked up by passing cars, so she shrank back inside and rolled up the window to block out the dust.

However, his gaze remained curiously fixed on the car in front.

Those were several small trucks used for loading goods. They looked dilapidated, but that's not unusual in Myanmar, as these kinds of vehicles are quite common.

The first car slowed down as it looked at the narrow road ahead.

Ongi sat in the passenger seat, head down, expressionless, smoking a cigarette, completely unaware of the people in the car in front.

In that split second, the two cars passed each other by.

Momo watched the car pass by, and the person in the passenger seat also swayed past. In that fleeting moment, her heart skipped a beat, as if she had seen Bian Xi.

She immediately leaned out of the window, wanting to look again, but the cars following behind had completely blocked the first car.

Their cars followed, and the distance between them widened even further until the cars disappeared into the dazzling yellow dust.

Momo paused, then slowly shrank back, her expression still not recovered.

You must be mistaken. How could Bian Xi be here?

He couldn't possibly be here.

It's probably just a coincidence that the face looked somewhat like Bian Xi, but the skin and hairstyle are completely different. Bian Xi's skin is fair and smooth, not so dark and dull, and certainly not so cold.

Moreover, he doesn't smoke.

Thinking this way, Momo calmed down a bit.

However, this little incident still stirred up some emotions in her heart, reminding her of Bian Xi.

I wonder how he is doing now.

Night Hawk glanced at her in the rearview mirror, wondering what was wrong. The girl had been fine just now, so why did she suddenly become so downcast?

Ugh, I really don't understand these women.

I don't know how Brother Yun, who is so busy every day, has the leisure and energy to support women.

Nighthawk stopped paying attention and continued driving.

An hour later, the car stopped at the entrance.

Momo was on guard, sticking her head out of the car to look outside.

The area was large and surrounded by iron fences, resembling a training ground. Behind the training ground, two tall buildings stood some distance from the entrance.

Under the bright sunlight, two teenagers stood on either side of the entrance. They looked quite young, probably only fifteen or sixteen years old. Both of them were holding guns and were probably on guard duty.

Upon seeing Night Hawk descend, the taller boy immediately stepped forward and said, "Brother Night Hawk, you've arrived."

Nighthawk glanced at him. "What are you standing there for?"

The boy, holding the gun, frowned and said somewhat aggrievedly, "I'm being punished by the boss by standing in the corner."

"Why?" Night Hawk asked casually.

However, we also learned that Brother Yun had already arrived.

“It’s because the two of us were fighting over the mission.” The shorter boy next to him also ran over. “The boss is going to Shan State to deliver goods tomorrow. We both wanted to go, but he said only one of us could go, so Ah Nai and I started arguing.”

The tall boy was named Anai, and the shorter one was named Maomao.

The two were about the same age and both were highly competitive. Naturally, neither of them would give in when it came to showing off.

"You argued in front of him?" Night Hawk asked.

Anai nodded, "Yes, and then the boss got angry because of our noise, so he told us to get out."

Night Hawk was taken aback. Only these two reckless brats dared to argue in front of Brother Yun.

Anyone else would have been shot in no time.

After a while, Night Hawk asked again, "Where is Brother Yun now? Is he still inside?"

Anai shook her head. "No, he's already gone out. He probably went to the warehouse with Nar to arrange tomorrow's goods."

"Oh," Nighthawk responded, then turned to look at the people in the car.

The person has already been brought to Brother Yun, but it's still inappropriate for him to take her back to her room himself.

Momo remained obediently inside. Anai followed Night Hawk's gaze and looked over. Upon seeing the people in the car, his eyes lit up, and he asked Night Hawk with a smile, "Who is the pretty girl in the car?"

Night Hawk slapped him across the face. "Turn off that look in your eyes. If your boss sees you, he'll gouge your eyes out."

Anai immediately stood up straight. "I know, she's the beautiful woman that Sawagoe was talking about, the boss's woman."

Nighthawk didn't say anything more. He was so young, he hadn't even grown his feathers yet, what did he know about women?

Momo sat in the car, staring blankly at them talking, but couldn't hear what they were saying. She only noticed that the three of them looked in her direction and then turned back to talk.

A moment later, she saw the two boys nod at Night Hawk and then run towards her with smiles.

"Sister, let us help you carry your luggage."

Anai is very outgoing and especially enjoys interacting with pretty girls. Maomao is a bit slow on the uptake in this regard, but she came along just for fun.

"Huh?" Before Momo could react, the car door was opened, and Maomao reached out to take her hand. "Get out, we'll take you to the boss's room."

"Oh." Momo was forced to get out of the car. The warm sunlight felt hot on her body.

"Thank you." She smiled and spoke to the two boys. "My name is Huang Momo. You can just call me Momo. There's no need to be so polite and call me 'sister'."

She's still a little uncomfortable being called "sister," especially by strange boys who are much taller than her. She feels she can't handle being called "sister."

"Oh, okay, I'm Anai, and this is Maomao." Anai introduced herself to her, then picked up her suitcase and walked forward.
