Chapter 108 I'll never have a sweet romance in this lifetime
Momo hummed in agreement, then followed them inside, past the huge training ground, until they reached the white two-story building. She was already sweating.
The building isn't very tall, but it's quite spacious inside, surrounded by large trees on both sides, so it's relatively cool inside, much better than outside.
She followed the two boys up the wooden stairs at the back, which creaked underfoot.
Once you go up to the second floor, there is a long corridor.
Orchids, freshly watered, hung from the eaves, swaying gently in the breeze. Beyond the orchids, a palm tree's gnarled, dust-covered trunk reached towards the intensely blue sky. Several vultures circled high above, their wings needing no flapping.
Anai pushed open the door to the innermost room, and Momo followed her in, feeling a slight chill inside.
"Momo, this is the boss's room. You can wait for him here." Anai placed her suitcase next to her.
"Oh, okay, thank you for your hard work." Momo looked around; it seemed to be a suite, and the bedroom should be inside.
Ah Nai smiled and said, "It's nothing, it's only right."
"Please feel free to ask me anything in the future."
"Okay." Momo replied, then looked away from the house and turned to them, smiling as she asked, "Where is Fu Yungui?"
Mao Mao answered before Anai could, "The boss went to the warehouse, he'll be back soon, don't worry."
"Oh," Momo replied, then added, "I'm not in a hurry."
She wasn't in a hurry to see him, but she was a little scared to be alone in this unfamiliar place. Apart from Night Hawk, there was no one else she knew, and she didn't feel safe.
If Fu Yungui were here, it would give her some sense of security.
"Alright, you take a rest. We'll go down to our posts first, otherwise we'll be in trouble when the boss comes back and sees us." Ah Nai said with a sigh.
"Okay." Momo nodded.
After Anai and Maomao left, Momo put her luggage aside to avoid blocking the way, and then went to look around the room.
The room wasn't very big, but it had everything you could need; in Myanmar, this level of amenities would be considered top-notch.
Fu Yungui's coat was still lying haphazardly on the sofa. Momo glanced at it and then went to the bedroom.
As soon as she opened the door, a patch of pure white in the corner directly in front of the entrance immediately caught her eye.
The pure white wedding dress cascaded down like a waterfall, its white satin surface adorned with countless three-dimensional flowers of all sizes. The delicate veil hung from the top of the hanger all the way to the waist of the dress, and was covered with equally three-dimensional white butterflies.
Sunlight streamed in through the window, falling on the butterflies and flowers, making the wedding dress appear even more radiant and colorful.
Momo stopped in her tracks, looking at what was in front of her with some surprise.
How come there's a wedding dress in this room?
And it looks quite expensive.
She stood at the door for a few more moments, wondering if the two children had led her to the wrong room. With that thought, she closed the door and went out.
Momo came out to get some fresh air and familiarize herself with the surroundings under the eaves on the second floor.
She wanted to send a message to her mother, but after holding her phone and walking around in a circle, the message was still spinning. The signal here seems to be weak.
When Fu Yungui went downstairs, he saw the person upstairs wearing a nude pink dress. Her skin was fair and bright, and she was so beautiful that it was almost eye-catching.
The person I had been imagining suddenly appeared before me, which felt rather unreal.
Momo was looking up at the birds in the palm tree above when she suddenly felt as if someone below was staring at her.
She paused for a moment, then turned to look at him.
She was immediately met with the man's burning gaze.
The man had his hands in his pockets, wearing a white shirt with the front slightly open.
But then I noticed that she suddenly lost all expression and her face turned cold.
Fu Yungui glanced at it a few times before looking away and then walked into the house with his head down.
Anu and Sawa immediately followed them inside.
Momo paused, then stood there without moving.
A day later, the man's mood didn't seem to have improved much.
I wonder if he still cares about the fact that he called out Bian Xi's name in his dream.
As Momo was thinking this, she saw the man coming from around the corner of the corridor.
She stared at him as he approached, pursed her lips, and was about to speak to him.
The man didn't even glance at her, walked past her, and went straight into the room.
Momo sighed; it seemed she was still angry.
I have no idea what she's angry about.
He had only called out Bian Xi's name in a half-dreaming state. Even if he was possessive, he shouldn't have done that.
Sawa, following behind, couldn't help but sigh. This man was so stubborn. Back in Istanbul, he had been calling him frantically, insisting on buying his sister a wedding dress.
Now that they've seen the person, they're ignoring them again.
Tell me, with this kind of personality, how can you possibly have a sweet romance?
Don't even think about it for the rest of your life.
Sawa stopped and looked at her with a smile, "Little sister, did you make him angry again?"
This time, Momo nodded. "It seems so."
"You're really capable," Sawa said, giving her a thumbs up before going inside.
Momo didn't know whether she should follow him or not, and she was afraid of upsetting the man, so she only followed Sawa to the door and then stopped.
"Brother Yun, let me drive tomorrow," Anu said. "I don't trust Shava to drive for you."
Shawa immediately became agitated upon hearing this, "What kind of talk is that? Whoever says Brother Yun will drive will drive. Who are you looking down on?"
He finally got a chance to drive, how could he let Anu take it away from him?
"Go fly your bomber. You think you can change Brother Yun's decision at will?"
Fu Yungui didn't speak. Sitting on the sofa, he saw half of the figure peeking out from the doorway, sometimes more, sometimes less.
They were acting suspiciously, I wonder what they were doing there.
Even if you're eavesdropping, you can't be so obvious about it.
"Huang Momo," the man called out towards the door.
"Hmm?" Momo immediately poked her head in, as if she had been waiting for this moment. "Did you call me?"
"Come in." Fu Yungui beckoned to her.
"Oh." Momo walked inside, then stood obediently at the door, not going too far inside.
Upon seeing this, Sawa and Anu immediately understood and left.
Momo glanced at the two figures as they left, then immediately turned to look at the man on the sofa.
"Fu Yungui, are you leaving Myanmar tomorrow?" she asked softly.
I just overheard Anai and the others talking about delivery or something.
"What's wrong?" the man asked, lighting a cigarette and leaning back on the sofa.
"No, it's nothing," Momo's voice was timid. "I was just asking casually."
The man couldn't help but scoff; his thoughts were practically written all over his face, yet he was still asking a casual question.
But since she wasn't going to say it, he wouldn't ask. Anyway, she'd eventually blurt it out, so he didn't care whether it was sooner or later.
