Note that this book is a slow-burn novel, and it will become increasingly exciting as the story progresses.
It starts from 2002, beginning at the Beijing Film Academy, and starting with the H...
Unlike in China, film premieres abroad usually start immediately, with interviews only beginning after the film has finished.
At 12:00 noon, Saw will be released worldwide.
The movie opens with the police questioning the protagonist, who has just escaped death. The protagonist recounts his experience after being kidnapped. He wakes up in a closed room with a timed mouth ripper on his head. At this moment, the TV in the room turns on automatically, and a cute Jigsaw doll appears, telling him that if he wants to live, he must use a scalpel to find the key in the stomach of the person lying next to him.
Just as the protagonist picked up the scalpel to do so, he discovered that the person was still alive, only that he had been given a drug that rendered him unable to move but was conscious. In other words, if the protagonist wanted to save himself, he had to become a murderer and kill someone else first.
The fact that the male protagonist was able to talk to the police and give a statement at the end shows that he had already taken drastic measures.
Alright! Is everyone ready?
Lights out! Game start!
In complete darkness, the protagonist, Adam, wakes up in a bathtub full of water. The room lights turn on automatically, and Adam discovers that he is tied to an abandoned, enclosed toilet, his feet chained to a water pipe, making it impossible for him to move.
Across the room was a middle-aged man who had been trapped in the same way as Adam. After exchanging information, they learned that Adam was a photographer and the middle-aged man was a surgeon. They didn't know each other and had no idea why they had been kidnapped there.
What's even more bizarre is that among them lies a fresh corpse, which, judging from its condition, must have just died. The corpse is holding a pistol in one hand and a tape recorder in the other.
Soon after, Adam found an envelope in his pocket containing a cassette tape, and the doctor also found an envelope in his pocket containing a cassette tape, and even more than Adam, a key and a bullet.
Upon seeing the key, the doctor immediately tried to unlock his own anklet, but it was clearly the wrong size. After both of them tried without success, they noticed that the body's tape recorder could play cassette tapes.
Adam managed to get the tape recorder from the corpse and played his own tapes, which contained his past voyeurism and dirty deeds.
The doctor's tape tells him about a clue marked with an X, and his mission is to kill Adam before 6 o'clock, or his wife and daughter will be in danger.
The doctor then noticed a detail: when the recording was played at a higher volume, he heard an even more subtle message: "Follow your heart."
They soon discovered that the toilet was marked with a 6... heart shape, so Adam rummaged around in the soup full of excrement, getting his hands covered in chocolate but finding nothing.
They then changed their thinking and discovered a black package inside the water tank containing two saws. So they each took one and frantically sawed at the chain. However, the vertical saws were completely ineffective against the chain, which was as thick as their legs.
The doctor then realized that the mastermind wanted them to saw off their own legs in order to gain a chance to escape.
From the motives of this mastermind, the doctor recalled a bizarre case he had previously encountered.
It was a serial murder case, and the killer has not yet been found.
Several horrific serial murders had occurred in the area before. One case involved an obese man who didn't value his life and was placed in a basement where he had to cross barbed wire to escape, resulting in his tragic death.
At the crime scene, there was a tape recorder containing gameplay videos of life-or-death games.
Another time, a young man claimed that he was sick and going to die in order to slack off at work. He was then given a life-or-death test, which required him to walk back and forth on a floor covered in broken glass to find a combination of codes on the wall. He was also covered in flammable grease. As a result, while he was looking at the code, the candle used for lighting accidentally lit up and burned him.
The doctor knew all this because the police found a flashlight with the doctor's fingerprints at the crime scene. The police took the doctor back to the police station and asked him to provide an alibi. The doctor could only confess that he had gone out to meet his lover that night.
After the doctor provided an alibi, the police asked him to stay so they could hear the account of Amanda, the only survivor of a similar kidnapping case.
Amanda's terrifying experience is essentially the essence of the previous "Saw 0.5" movie. Amanda digs keys out of the stomachs of living and dead people, exchanging other people's lives for her own.
At this moment, Jigsaw comes out riding his beloved tricycle and speaks the central theme of the "Saw" series: people often don't know how to cherish life and trample on it. Only by surviving the test of life and death will they cherish life again and become good people.
Unfortunately, Amanda's escape didn't affect the doctor at all. After returning home and putting his daughter to sleep, the doctor went out to have another affair and ended up in this large bathroom.
His wife and daughters were kidnapped around that time.
Meanwhile, the veteran police officer finally discovered clues through the night and found the so-called lair of the serial killer Jigsaw. However, he was caught in a trap. On one side, the hostage was already sitting on the drill chair, and on the other side, Jigsaw was under control. The police officer faced a dilemma of whether to save the hostage or arrest him. In the blink of an eye, Jigsaw briefly transformed into an assassin and slit the old police officer's throat.
The younger partner was instantly killed by the trap.
Meanwhile, the two people in the restroom unexpectedly discovered a camera behind the mirror. Jigsaw was likely observing them from the shadows.
The doctor then reopened the door to his memories and shared family photos with Adam. Adam unexpectedly discovered photos of the doctor's kidnapped wife and daughter in his wallet, along with an X-mark on the back of the photos. This photo must not be shown to the doctor, or the doctor will really kill Adam.
