Interstellar + Gourmet + Live Streaming Went Viral!
Food blogger Ling Miao traveled through time and space, transmigrating from Blue Star to the Interstellar era. She started in hell!
H...
The stir-fried ham cubes and chopped onions were scooped out, and Ling Miao rolled up her sleeves and poured the large bowl of rice into the pot.
Rice grains coated in egg are dropped into the oil, sizzling and releasing a rich aroma of egg mixed with the sweetness of the rice. The egg-coated rice swims in the pan, slightly solidifying, and then reforms itself with each stir-fry.
The slightly sticky rice was constantly stir-fried, and as the moisture evaporated, the soft and sticky rice grains became dry and burnt. Ideally, fried rice should be made with leftover rice from the previous day.
After sitting overnight, the excess moisture in the rice gradually dissipates, and the rice becomes firmer, making it the best choice for fried rice with eggs.
However, since the idea of making fried rice was impromptu and no extra rice was prepared, we had to use the rice we had on hand.
Fortunately, although the system doesn't treat people, the quality of the ingredients produced is guaranteed. Although it was a bit sticky, it was not too strenuous to stir-fry over low heat, except for taking some time.
Again and again, the golden rice was stir-fried in the pot. Under the high temperature, the moisture evaporated, and the rice grains slowly separated and scattered. When tossed in the pot, each grain was distinct, and the aroma was enticing. Everyone on the side watched with wide eyes.
Seeing that the fried rice was cooked to perfection, it was time to add the diced carrots. The round, plump, orange-red carrots, scattered like grains on the golden rice, were vibrant and eye-catching. They peeked out as the rice was stir-fried, and a subtle sweetness suddenly wafted from the fragrant rice.
The scrambled eggs, chopped onions, and diced ham were poured into the pan, creating a vibrant and appetizing dish. Ling Miao wielded the spatula, tossing the pan and adding the ham with practiced ease.
Like hidden gold fragments, a perfectly good cooking demonstration was transformed into an art exhibition.
Everyone was amazed as they watched Ling Miao add the chopped greens, seasonings, and scallions, and the steaming egg fried rice was ready.
Bowl after bowl, as soon as they were served, everyone couldn't help but pick up their bowls and examine them closely. The golden, broken egg pieces, like scattered gold, were garnished with red and green accents. The colors were enticing, and just by smelling them, you knew they would taste amazing.
Avril picked up the spoon and scooped it in, eagerly opening her mouth. The crispy, fragrant rice grains exploded on her tongue, the slightly firm texture accompanied by the aroma of eggs, and every now and then she could bite into the carrot cubes, which brought another burst of sweetness.
The fried rice is coated in oil, with chopped greens and diced carrots to cut through the richness. Each of the other ingredients has its own unique charm: the diced ham is soft and tender, the chopped onions are fragrant, and each bite...
The rich aroma explodes, and the taste buds are filled with delicious flavor.
"It's so delicious!"
Susan didn't even look up, eating as she sighed, "Suddenly I feel so happy."
"I must be the happiest kitten in the world to eat Miaomiao's cooking every day!"
She kept chewing, a few grains of rice still clinging to her lips, glistening with oil, her eyes narrowed with pleasure, looking just like a big cat stretching lazily in the sun.
Ling Miao couldn't help but smile when she imagined this scene.
Hearing Susan's words, Avril felt her food, which was already in her mouth, lose its appeal. Tomorrow they would be leaving Tardar.
Waaaaah—
What should I do?!
Turning her grief and anger into appetite, she gulped down a large mouthful of rice, determined to eat her fill first!
After dinner, everyone scrambled to wash the kitchen. Ling Miao didn't compete with them. She walked out of the dining room; the setting sun was casting its last rays, and darkness was fast approaching. In the distance, the outline of a forest could be vaguely seen.
Ling Miao suddenly felt a little emotional. She had read a lot of time-travel novels when she was on Earth, but she never thought that one day it would really be her turn.
Life is truly a wonder.
"Want to go for a walk?"
Despite her advanced age and gray hair, Grandma Audrey is a sprightly and energetic old lady.
Ling Miao turned her head, intrigued: "Which places?"
“There’s a small market every night where residents gather, and you should still be able to catch it at this time.”
Ling Miao was genuinely pleasantly surprised. When she transmigrated, the original owner of this body lived in a remote area. From her memories, she knew that the original owner was a complete homebody who rarely went out and relied entirely on interstellar logistics for food and drink.
There were hardly any neighbors around, so when the system transformed the original owner's place into a restaurant, it went very smoothly because no one paid any attention.
Since transmigrating here, I've been busy every day, earning deliciousness points by livestreaming. Although my days are fulfilling, this place is remote, and apart from Susan and Audya who come to support me every day, there's no one else here.
She'd been holding it in for ages.
"Shall we go now?!"
Where are we going?
Suddenly, a large group of people appeared behind her. The girl standing in front stared at Ling Miao with her big, round eyes, seemingly asking why she wasn't taken along.
Ling Miao tried to resist, but couldn't help reaching out to rub the other's little head. It was so soft and fluffy!
Sure enough, to truly appreciate fluffy fur, you have to pet a real-life version!
"We were just about to tell you about this market. Would you like to go check it out together?"
"Of course!"
As expected, everyone agreed, and even Avril and her two companions came along.
The journey wasn't too far, taking about ten minutes. In the distance, Ling Miao could see a faint yellow light.
She quickened her pace, and the market came into view.
Just as Odeya had said, there weren't many people at the market, partly because they had arrived late and a significant portion of the population had already gone home, leaving only a small number of those who lived nearby still at the market.
Upon seeing a group of newcomers, unfamiliar faces, but dressed neatly and cleanly, the group of people who were chatting idly instantly perked up, warmly greeting them and vying to introduce their products.
