Seeing that her anger had subsided considerably, Gu Yan breathed a sigh of relief.

This was the first time he had encountered something like this, and he really didn't know how to handle it except to appease the person first.

"I don't want to think about it anymore. Let's leave it at that for now. It seems like a good idea."

She sighed.

She had just tried to sit up when a wave of weakness and soreness washed over her.

On the other side, Gu Yan found a red dress and picked out two pieces of underwear.

When I got back to the room, I saw Li Wanqing trying to sit up, so I quickly went over and helped her sit up.

"Don't move, let me help you put it on," Gu Yan said behind her ear.

He then picked up the underwear, and as soon as he touched her body, she suddenly frowned, almost bursting into tears, and glared at him with shame and anger.

Gu Yan smiled sheepishly, knowing it was all his fault, and softened his tone.

She then lifted the blanket, revealing her still fair and tender body, though somewhat mottled, and prepared to put on another garment.

Upon seeing this, Li Wanqing quickly waved her hand and said, "Put these down. Don't wear these today. Help me put on that dress instead."

"Oh? Won't that be uncomfortable?" Gu Yan teased.

"Hmph, could it be more painful than this?" Li Wanqing retorted angrily when she saw that someone was making fun of her.

After she got dressed, Gu Yan whispered in her ear, "You should rest here. You probably won't be able to get out of bed today."

"Sigh, I was planning to go for a job interview today." Feeling weak all over, she frowned and sighed.

"It's no big deal. You just stay home and wait for me to earn money to support you," Gu Yan said without even thinking.

Then she saw the other person's big eyes looking around, and she felt a little embarrassed.

"It's alright, we can take it slow. It's already like this, I don't ask for anything else." Seeing Gu Yan's embarrassed expression, Li Wanqing said gently.

"I'll go buy you breakfast first, just wait here." Seeing how gentle and considerate she was, Gu Yan secretly vowed to treat this woman well.

After going downstairs, I walked while sensing the state of my body and felt something was strange, especially that ball of energy.

He had another idea. He walked to the tree, picked up a leaf, and channeled his energy into the leaf in his hand.

The leaf flew out like a flying knife and stuck into the tree. Gu Yan looked closely and saw that it was two centimeters deep inside.

He was overjoyed; that piece of glue must be extraordinary, given its remarkable properties.

After buying two steamed buns and a cup of soy milk, I went back upstairs. As soon as I entered the bedroom, I saw a woman in a red dress lying lazily on the bed.

Hearing the noise, the woman on the bed suddenly raised her head and then used her hand to block Gu Yan's view.

"You're not allowed to look," Li Wanqing said coquettishly and angrily, leaving the other man completely powerless, yet he still tried to take advantage of her.

Gu Yan chuckled, handed over the steamed buns and soy milk, and sat on the bed, saying, "Eat slowly first, I'm going out and might not be back until the afternoon."

"Okay, then be careful and don't do anything that's illegal," Li Wanqing replied gently.

He kissed her on the pretty face again.

"I'll buy a house in a few days and give you a change of scenery," Gu Yan said before leaving.

Upon hearing this, Li Wanqing was overjoyed, but quickly regained her composure and pretended not to care at all.

Gu Yan thought about yesterday's Jade Street, and with his enhanced Heavenly Eye ability today, he was sure he could make a fortune, so he took a taxi to Jade Street.

I spent the whole trip searching for information about this online. For example, what kinds are valuable, and how to identify them.

For some types of jade, deeper color is not necessarily better; rather, vibrancy is. Dark and dull colors are not as desirable as lighter and more vibrant colors. Other factors to consider include transparency and the number of crystal grains.

Gu Yan discovered that his memory had also improved a lot; he felt like he could remember something after reading it only once.

When we arrived at Jade Street, it was only nine o'clock, and there weren't many people yet. Gu Yan started walking around. There were hundreds of shops of all sizes on this street, but many of them were closed. He looked inside with his Tianyan (a type of eye-tracking device) and found that there weren't many raw stones inside, perhaps due to a shortage of supply.

At each shop entrance, Gu Yan would use his "heavenly eye" to examine the stones inside, looking directly through the stone skin to see if there was any jade inside. On average, only one or two out of ten stones contained jade, and many of them were worthless, even though the price tags were almost as high as the value of jade.

He arrived at the largest shop, its facade bearing the ancient characters "Jubao Xuan" (聚宝轩). He had come here because it had the most raw stones; one shop here could rival more than ten others. When he entered, there weren't many people inside, but in front of every popular raw material, there were several people commenting on it, as if they were comparing their sales.
