Yao Man, being older than them, quickly calmed down and politely welcomed Tantai Qing into the house. After he sat down, she personally poured him a cup of tea and said somewhat awkwardly with a smile, "My home is small, and I don't have much to offer you. Please have some tea first."

"Thank you, Auntie." Tantai Qing was flattered and immediately stood up from the sofa, took the tea from her with both hands, and smiled, "Auntie, please don't say that. I came in a hurry and didn't know I had to tell you in advance. I've caused you trouble."

Upon hearing this, Yao Man immediately waved her hand and said, "No trouble at all! I'm so happy you could come..."

She was a woman who wasn't very good at talking. After saying those words, she sat down next to Yu Diandian, her nervousness visibly obvious.

Tantai Qing knew perfectly well that her visit might have frightened them, so she quickly tried to ease the tension by smiling and saying, "Auntie, my name is Tantai Qing, you can just call me Taiqing."

"Hey, Taiqing," Yao Man called out, then introduced him, "This is Jifan's sister-in-law, Diandian."

Yu Diandian was a rather timid woman, and even after having a child, she remained shy. Upon seeing the strange man who suddenly appeared in her home, she blushed and asked, "Hello."

"Hello, sister-in-law," he replied with a faint smile.

"Auntie," the little girl sitting in Jiang Jifan's lap suddenly spoke, looking up at her and asking, "Is this your boyfriend?"

Jiang Jifan patted her head and nodded: "Yes, that's right."

Jiang Mingting blinked his big eyes at her and asked in a low, curious voice, "Then what should I call him?"

This question stumped Jiang Jifan; she didn't know the answer either.

Tantai Qing turned around and saw the little girl in her arms staring intently at her. Her expression softened, and she greeted her in a gentle voice, "Hello, little friend, what's your name?"

“My name is Jiang Mingting, Mingting as in ‘the courtyard is as clear as accumulated water’!” She wasn’t shy at all and answered crisply.

He had heard Jiang Jifan mention that she had a niece who looked very much like him, and now that he had seen her, he found that they were indeed very similar—their lower half of their faces had identical canine teeth and dimples. If one did not know, one might mistake her for her daughter.

He knew she doted on the little girl in front of him, and couldn't help but extend that affection to her, giving her a slight smile, "Your name is very beautiful."

Jiang Mingting laughed upon hearing this, revealing two sharp canine teeth, and said proudly, "I also think that my name was chosen for me by my aunt."

Her parents married young, and when she was born, Jiang Jifan was only a senior in high school. She was the most educated person in her family, so naturally, she was the one who named her.

"Uncle? Should I call you that?"

Both of them were taken aback. Tantai Qing reacted quickly and was the first to smile and agree: "Yes, if your aunt doesn't mind."

“Auntie won’t mind, right?” Jiang Mingting turned to look at her.

Jiang Jifan didn't say anything, just glanced at him and nodded.

He brought many gifts, which made people marvel at how thoughtful he was.

There were gifts for both adults and children. Jiang Mingting was overjoyed to see the new toy. While hugging her new toy, she sweetly thanked her uncle.

Tantai Qing patted her head and smiled without saying a word.

Although her home is not big, it is clean and tidy.

"Tingting, watch out for broken glass underfoot," Yu Diandian whispered to Jiang Mingting.

She cleaned up the mess after the argument, but she accidentally overlooked a corner, so there were still a few pieces of broken glass left.

Tantai Qing found it strange that there was broken glass, until she heard Jiang Mingting say, "What a pity, that vase was quite pretty..."

Then she muttered under her breath, "It's all Dad's fault!"

He listened thoughtfully.

While preparing dinner, Yao Man asked him if he had any dietary restrictions.

Tantai Qing said, "No, Auntie, I'm not a picky eater, I eat everything."

Jiang Jifan was helping him hang up his coat when she heard this and joked, "Mom, he's very easy to take care of. He can eat anything except spicy food."

He wanted to go into the kitchen to help, but Yao Man wouldn't let him do it. She said he was a guest and there was no reason for a guest to cook. Then she instructed Jiang Jifan to entertain him while she washed her hands and went to cook.
