Chapter 148 Going Back

As he stepped onto the elevator, he recalled the name Ouyang had called out in Zhou's nightmare: Jin Lu. He had searched for this name before, a brilliant pianist and painter. Who was Jin Lu to her? He had never asked, but he knew he was very important to her.

Mu Jiang and Long Yixing met. Long Yixing found him because of his sister, who kept repeating his name all day long, leaving him with no choice.

"Mu Jiang," Long Yixing said, "I've already lost Ouyang, Xiao Nuan can't lose you again." If his sister could let go of Mu Jiang, he wouldn't have come to beg him today. "Can you meet her?"

"What would happen if we met? I wouldn't fall in love with her."

Long Yixing knew it would be difficult to change his mind, so he said, "I plan to send her abroad, and I hope you can go to the airport to see her off."

"That's fine." Mu Jiang left. He didn't have a good impression of Long Yixing and his sister. Moreover, Ouyang was still alive. He was an invisible danger to Ouyang.

But when Ouyang learned about Long Yihang's whereabouts, he had already committed suicide by jumping into the river. Suicide? That was impossible. Ouyang heard Mu Jiang tell her the news: "He was planning to send Long Yinuan away the next day. The conclusion of suicide is definitely not valid."

"Is there anything different about him recently?" Ouyang asked, feeling a piercing pain.

"He's been to the detective agency." Mu Jiang said.

"JO!" Ouyang gritted his teeth and clenched his fists. "I'll settle this account with him."

"I have already arranged for Long Yinuan to stay in the countryside, so there shouldn't be any problems."

"Mu Jiang, you and Xia Yue must be careful when facing them."

"Know."

That day, she dropped something again. When Wang Xin returned home, he saw the vase lying on the floor. He walked into Ouyang's room and found her doing a handstand. He quickly picked her up to prevent her from injuring her arm again.

Ouyang's tears kept flowing, and Wang Xin held her tightly. Although he didn't know what had happened, he patted her back and said, "It's okay, it's okay, everything will be fine." After comforting her until she fell asleep, Wang Xin took the phone she had left on the bedside table. This was the first time he wanted to know Ouyang's secret, and he wanted to help her get through this difficult time.

He installed a wiretap system on his cell phone so that he could find out what happened when Ouyang was alone at home.

A few days passed, and Ouyang didn't call anyone, and no one called her. This made Wang Xin a little puzzled, and he later checked her recent messages.

It was probably known that she was in contact with two people, one named Mu Jiang and the other named Xia Yue. They were both from the Zhuo Group, which meant that Ouyang was actually controlling the Zhuo Group all the time.

"Captain," Wang Xin's men found him, "There's a man named Jin Lu outside looking for you."

"What's your name?"

"Jin Lu."

Such a familiar name, yet he still came.

"team leader?"

He stood there in a daze, not knowing how to face this person: "Let him come to my office."

"OK."

Wang Xin called Ouyang, but felt something was wrong and hung up.

Jin Lu left a deep impression on him. He was not as energetic and handsome as the photos published online, but rather a bit sloppy.

"Officer Wang, I'm here this time to ask about the explosion that happened at the Century Hotel last time. Were you there?" Jin Lu had already asked many people, but none of them knew what exactly happened at that time.

"What is your purpose in looking for me?"

"I want to know who the suspect was, or what clues the police had."

Wang Xin looked at him. This man didn’t know that Ouyang was still alive. He just simply wanted to know the truth.

"We have arrested the person who supplied the explosives, but we are still investigating who was behind it."

"I already know this," Jin Lu handed him a list of attendees, which included various people's descriptions of the incident. "I hope this can help you."

Wang Xin took it. It was a thick notebook filled with notes. He had never seen anyone do something so carefully, and he didn't know what he had been through in the past few months.

Jin Lu gave it to him and left. He believed that his investigative skills were not enough to find the real murderer. Because of this, he decided to give up. He couldn't go on like this, he had no strength left.

Wang Xin saw his desperate eyes and thought Ouyang was dead. Now that he gave him this book, it also meant that he was not far from death.

"Wait!" Wang Xin shouted, "What is your relationship with Ouyang Zishan?"

Jin Lu turned around and looked at him. He hadn't mentioned Ouyang's name from beginning to end. How did this person know that he was doing this for Ouyang? He suddenly stood beside Wang Xin and asked, "What did you say?"

"What is your relationship with Ouyang Zishan? Are you doing this for her?"

Jin Lu is a sensitive person: "Do you know her? Is she not dead yet? Tell me." Wang Xin's clothes were pulled tightly by him.

"Let's find a place to talk." He didn't want to see an artist like this, who would find a place to solve his problem after leaving his office.

They came to a coffee shop where there were few people.

"She's definitely not dead," Wang Xin said, "but she doesn't want others to know she's still alive."

Someone else? Jin Lu looked at him and laughed at himself. When did he become someone else in her eyes? Was it when her amnesia was cured? "Where is she now?"

"My home."

Jin Ru looked at the man sitting opposite him. He had a hunch that he had also fallen in love with Ouyang.
