Chapter 6 Lu Yang

In the past few days, Mu Zibai made various porridges for her at home, feeding her slowly as he did when she was sick as a child. She found that her brother seemed to have become much more mature than before, no longer scolding her or demanding her pocket money.

"Remember to eat breakfast." She even became more nagging than before. However, she had thought it through. Since all girls were the same, there was nothing wrong with her doing this. After all, this was the only way to prove that she was normal.

Soon, winter arrived. People were coming and going on the streets, and a giant screen overhead played celebrity advertisements on a loop. Wang Yao held her hand and trembled as she complained, "Is it really that difficult to watch a New Year's Eve show?"

Mu Zishan wrapped his scarf around her and said, "You know the homeroom teacher hates students asking for leave the most, and you're still doing the right thing. How can she not punish you by making you copy homework?"

"There's nothing wrong with copying homework, but the most important thing is that it's embarrassing to go back now." She stomped her feet, "By the way, did you know that the boys' dormitory is haunted?" She laughed angrily at her hands.

"What's wrong?" Mu Zishan immediately showed strong curiosity.

"I knew you liked to hear it." She looked around and pulled her into the coffee shop. "I also heard it from other people. Every night in the boys' dormitory, they hear the sound of someone climbing the stairs. The most important thing is, they don't see anyone."

"What is that?" Mu Zishan supported his head and thought about it.

"Ghost!" Wang Yao laughed. "It's really nothing. Boys can live well too, right?"

Mu Zishan had recently finished reading the case Dong Kuikui had given her, and she was even thinking about putting it into practice: "Do you know how to get into the boys' dormitory?"

"You don't really want to investigate, do you?" Wang Yao looked into her eyes. "Okay, I can help you with this, but you have to pay the bill and leave without anything."

"no problem!"

That night, Wang Yao returned to school. Although she didn't have much fun, she was satisfied with the food. She didn't know from whom she got two boys' uniforms, put on a hat, and sneaked in behind the boys.

"Wang Yao," a boy recognized her, "Why are you here?"

The aunt guarding the door looked in the direction they were going, felt something was wrong, and followed them up.

"I was wondering if it was you." The aunt grabbed her schoolbag and looked around, as if she wanted to catch another one.

Mu Zishan was dragged up to the second floor. He was terrified and looked towards the door. Wang Yao was kicked out.

"Hey, why are you in the boys' dormitory?" Mu Zishan heard someone talking to him, and then he realized that his face was blocked by him. He could only see the name on his school uniform: Lu Yang.

"Lu Yang, what are you doing?" asked someone passing by him, tilting his head down to try to see the face of the person under him clearly.

"It's okay, I was just joking with her." After everyone left, he pressed her head down and walked upstairs.

She was brought into his dormitory, a double room, which looked quite clean. She felt a little uncomfortable as it was her first time doing something wrong.

The other party chuckled and said, "Tell me, what do you want to do by sneaking in with your friend?"

She rolled her eyes and blinked. Since he helped her, it was okay for her to tell her the reason.

After hearing this, Lu Yang couldn't help laughing, then pretended to be serious and said, "Do you want to stay here until night?"

"What's wrong?"

"The dormitory will be closed soon. You should think about it. There are hundreds of boys in this building." He said while taking off his clothes.

She felt something was strange and prepared to open the door to go out.

"Hey," he pushed the door back, "you'd better think about it. Not everyone here is willing to help you like me. Besides, there are surveillance cameras outside. If your aunt finds out, you know what the consequences will be." What he said was indeed right. She shrank back and leaned against the wall.

"My roommate ran away because of me. If you don't mind, you can sleep in my bed. I'll just stay next door."

"Have we met somewhere before?" She saw a photo of the sports meeting on the wall and remembered the time she met him.

"My name is Lu Yang, from Class 1."

She remembered that it was the person who bumped into her and gave her chocolate: "It's you!"

"Why? Are you surprised?"

For some reason, she suddenly felt that the atmosphere was no longer so strange, and her stomach began to growl.

He changed his clothes and went out, and when he came back he brought her a bowl of instant noodles. He then made his bed, took a quilt and went to another room, but soon returned.

"There's a cockroach in the next dormitory."

"Puchi!" Mu Zishan laughed.

He made up the existing bed and said, "Looks like we'll have to stay in the same room today."

After waiting for about five hours, the whole building quieted down. Mu Zishan went out and listened carefully for footsteps, carefully searching between floors. Suddenly, she saw a person muttering something.

"What are you doing?"

"I wonder if he's a human or a ghost." She followed the man and looked at him. She thought he looked very strange, as if he was asleep. "Hey!"

"Shh!" Lu Yang pulled her back, "Don't wake him up."

When she returned to the room, she realized that what Wang Yao called a haunting was actually sleepwalking. When a sleepwalker walks in the corridor and on the stairs, there will naturally be footsteps.

"Ghost is just an excuse made by cowards. Do you believe it?" Lu Yang said while lying on the bed, but he did not get a response.

The next day, Mu Zishan slipped out among the crowd while many people were out. When she got home, she was extremely disappointed with herself. A previous "reconnaissance" she had done as a child had ended in failure, just like this one. Could it really be her fault?
