**She was ice. He was fire.
And none of them were willing to melt, or quench the other.**
Princess Raziah Octavius, the stran...
The Princess woke up the next morning alone in bed. Raziah’s heart clutched as a heavy pain washed over her when she couldn’t find Aragon next to her. She was naked under the sheets, and didn’t want to believe all what happened was just a dream.
Before she could even settle down and give it more thought, the feeling overwhelmed her and tears began to run down her eyes. Quickly, she jumped down from the bed and threw her cupboard open, picked up a dress, and threw it over her head.
She didn’t care what anyone thought anymore. Not even herself.
She was heading to Erandell today to see Aragon.
Her heart knew she couldn’t spend another day without seeing it. It was gotten to a point of impossibility.
Without even looking at the mirror to see if she was looking good enough to leave her room, she ran toward the door only to screech to a halt when the door flew open and Aragon came in pushing a table of dishes.
She stood there motionless, and he stopped right in front of her and took her hand in his, "What happened?" He asked, checking to see if she was alright.
Slowly, she reached out and caressed his face like he was a rare jewel, "I was just about to come and see you, how did you get here so fast? Is this...a dream?"
He gave her a once over and then understood what happened. Trying to hide the amusement from his eyes, he remarked at her words, "I’ve been here since yesterday. I knew you’ll be hungry when you wake up so I went to get you some food. I’m sorry I didn’t return earlier and snuggle back with you so that I’ll be the first thing you see when you wake up,"
And that was all she needed. It wasn’t a dream. Aragon Odysseus was really here. He was here with her. She could only nod at his words, words betraying her.
Taking her hand, he led her straight to the bathroom where a hot tub of soapy water was already waiting. She just stared at him in awe as he helped her brush her teeth, took off her clothes, and helped her into the bath.
"Is the temperature alright?" He asked, feeling the water again.
Raziah shook her head slowly, "But with you in it, it’ll be beyond perfection."
The woman sure knew how to make him blush and feel loved. Without wasting another second, he threw himself out of his clothes and settled into the water with her. She took him into her arms, and he settled his head on her cleavage trying not to add too much weight on her apart from the one she was already carrying.
"I should be the one doing this," He said to her as she gently rubbed his back.
"You took care of me before. Allow me to do this for you,"
He sighed contentedly, "How...have you been?"
"Miserable. Wretched. Stupid. Annoying." She said in a pained voice.
"And there I was thinking you were doing just fine without me, I am sorry,"
"You don’t have to be sorry. I gave you the impression that I was fine in the first place,"
"I should have Still checked,"
"Say no more. All that matters is we are together now..." As soon as the words left her tongue, Raziah gasped and he pulled up to look at her face in concern.
"What’s wrong?" He inquired.
"This!" She palmed her face.
"It’s not wrong," he took her face.
Raziah exclaimed, terrified at her actions, "Yes, it is! We are no longer married, but you... you’re a married man. You have Gwen. You have a wife waiting for your return and here you’re with another Woman soaking up in..."
"Gwen left Erandell," He said to her.
"Huh? She did? Why?" Raziah was suddenly concerned. Did something happen to her? Does it have something to do with that secret of hers?
"Gwen was never in love with me. It was Elliott, and she thought we were the same person. When I told her, she was devastated. Two days later, she came to me and said she wanted to leave Erandell. She wanted to find herself again. I had to let her go. She needed it," He sighed indignantly.
"Oh, Gwen..." Raziah felt so sorry for the woman. It must have been very hard for her, "Maybe...I’ll go and see her one of these days," She uttered. If Aragon was surprised by this development, he surely did a good job hiding it.
"Hm," He nodded and settled back on her chest. He was thinking about telling her about his beast, but he didn’t know how to bring it up. He was wondering how she would react when she finds out his soul is now intertwined with another, and they now share everything.
Including her.
"Does my father know you’re here?" She asked
"We met this morning."
"And my brothers?"
"Ran into the Crown prince,"
"Malcolm?"
"I saw him,"
"Maria?"
"Scurried away as fast as she could,"
"And the guards you knocked out last night?"
"Back to work,"
They both laughed. Just then, the baby kicked softly. Raziah looked down and Aragon pulled away to see a small bump on the bigger one, like it baby was moving its foot or something. Raziah slapped her mouth to keep from squealing out like a little girl, while Aragon speechlessly watched as it moved a bit before settling back in.
"He is strong!" Raziah commented, and Aragon looked up at her with his jaw still dropped.
"He?"
"Yes, he."
"Well, I feel a girl coming." He argued, arching a brow.
"You’re not the one carrying him. With that strength, I know it’s a boy," She returned, eyeing him softly.
"Girls are strong too. What are you trying to say?"
"They’re. But you’re not the one carrying him inside of you now, are you? You don’t even know how strong I’m implying him to be!"
"How strong you’re implying HER to be," He corrected as that devious smirk returned to his face. This time, it didn’t just make her heart summersault, it warmed her thoroughly that she was overjoyed and leaned down to plant a kiss on his lips.
"Stop correcting me. I’ll renew you!"
He was caught off guard at first, but quickly moved and kissed her back sharply, "The student will not surpass the master,"
"Oh really? I did that last night. Incase you couldn’t remember, you traveled somewhere far, far away several times," She smirked back.
"So you wanna go there?" He purred, and her breath quickened when his hands began to trail lazily up her thigh, making her shift her legs under the water.
"Once you’re done going there, I will also take you there. Know this and know peace," She tipped her chin in defiance, "And the cycle continues that way,"
Just before he could touch her honey pot, he suddenly grabbed her thigh hard and took a nipple into his mouth again. Raziah cried at both the fact that he had decided to ignore the rather aching part, but had given the less aching part his full attention. She mewled and moaned in delight and passion.
As usual, it always felt better than the last one. His hot tongue had her burning up in his arms, and he exchanged between both giving them full attention.
They settled back, and this time she was the one lying on his chest, "There’s something I don’t understand," she trailed a hand around his slightly hairy chest.
"And what’s that?"
"Don’t you think the child is growing too fast? I have only been pregnant for over three months."
"My speculation is, it’s the combination of our rare genes that’s speeding up its growth."
She thought about it for a second, "Does that mean the baby would grow faster than a regular person once it’s born?"
"Not necessarily. It’s inside the cocoon of your womb right now. Once it’s out in the real world, its body would adjust to its new environment. And even if our child does begin to grow faster than a normal person, that’s fine too. We would still protect and love him,"
She smiled, "That’s right,"
"By the way, I told everyone I came across that you’re pregnant, not ill," he suddenly let out, and she widened her eyes.
"So fast!"
He looked very excited, "I couldn’t hold back," He confessed.
"You seem so happy to become a father,"
"I am," He agreed.
"Well, I think all men waiting for their child’s birth anticipate it too,"
She didn’t know it went beyond that. He had done so much for a child and hoped for a miracle. This was his miracle child, being carried by the woman that now owned his world. Nothing could be more miraculous than that.
"I’m sure they do," He caressed her cheek and pulled a bit, "It’s time to rinse off. Your food is getting cold,"
