Chapter 20

Lily brought flowers to see her, as well as the notes from the class she missed, the latter of which she needed very much. Narcissa's letter also arrived. It was very long and densely packed, talking a lot about what happened with Lucius. Also sent was her favorite cookies and a thousand paper cranes that she had folded.

On the way back with the letter, she met Professor Longbottom, who seemed to be delivering the letter.

"Hello, Miss Longbottom."

"Oh, it's you. Could you please deliver these books to my office? Just put them on the table."

"Of course, Professor."

"Thank you."

Professor Longbottom's office was on the third floor, with half the door open. There was a pile of homework on the table. She found an empty space to put her things down, but was attracted by the photo on the table. It was a magical photo in a frame. It showed Professor Longbottom and a black-haired girl. Why did this girl look so much like Narcissa's cousin Bella?

She suddenly remembered what Narcissa had told her at the wedding.

"Bella has someone she loves, it's just not her husband."

Ayala didn't dare to think any more and left here quickly. There was an ancient magic class today. Evans took her to the library to read a book for a long time to prepare before going to the classroom. She said that she asked the senior students who took this course and found that ancient magic was extremely difficult and it was best to prepare before going.

It turned out to be of no use. Five minutes after entering the classroom, she couldn't understand a word the professor said. Evans next to her was in the same situation as her. He didn't understand a word and didn't write down a single word in his notes.

There were no more than twenty people in the classroom, and half of them fell asleep. Although she and Lily held on, it was useless.

After class, Lily dragged her to the library to make up for today's lessons. They almost missed dinner. Lily decided to go back to the dormitory to continue reviewing, while Ayala chose to go out for a walk. She walked to the lawn unknowingly and saw that there were people still practicing on the Quidditch field. She sat down and watched for a while and then chose to walk back to the castle.

The Slytherin common room was still very lively. Ayala hurried back to the dormitory. Lily gave her homework and asked her to finish it tonight. She started writing as soon as she entered the dormitory.

It was this place again. Ayala once again entered the dream with the boy, but she didn't see anyone. Suddenly, everything around her began to change. The blank world turned into a small village. She had no memory of such a place. She could only walk around to see if there was anyone. After walking for a while, she found that this was probably a semi-magical village with Muggles and wizards. Everything was normal. There was a force in her heart that forced her to move forward.

Finally she stopped in front of a house and knocked on the door. The door opened quickly and it was the boy who opened it. Ayala looked inside and saw a girl sitting on the sofa, staring at the table motionlessly.

"Is it you?"

"I suddenly came to this place. Do you know where this is?"

"Godric's Hollow, where I live. That's my sister."

He noticed Ayala's look and explained.

"Would you like to come in and sit down?"

"No."

She shook her head. She was subconsciously afraid of the girl inside and always felt that something was wrong.

"Do you know where I can get out?"

"Let me take you out."

"Your sister..."

"My brother is here too, don't worry."

Before closing the door, she glanced at the people in the room and happened to meet the girl's eyes.

"You seem to have grown taller since the last time we met."

"Of course, I haven't seen you for half a year."

"Half a year?"

But Ayala had only dreamed of him last time, and the boy's face was clearer than last time. Before, Ayala had always seen him a little blurry.

"Can you tell me your name now?"

The boy was stunned, thought for a while and shook his head.

"Sorry, not right now."

Ayala could only follow his footsteps from behind, and seeing that the boy had not spoken, he had to take the initiative to break the silence.

"I had Ancient Magical Writings today, and it was so hard to understand."

"I suggest you learn runes thoroughly first. It will be difficult to understand if you don't understand runes..."

As soon as the boy mentioned studying, he began to talk non-stop. Finally, he stopped and pointed ahead.

"Walk past that tree and you can go back."

"Then I'll be leaving first."

"Wait a moment--"

Ayala turned around and the boy bent down, picked a lily and handed it to her.

"Take it away. I don't know when I'll see you next."

"Thanks."

She took the lily from the boy's hand, turned to leave, but suddenly thought of something and turned back.

"See you next time."

"goodbye."

She turned and walked towards the big green tree. When she was about to pass by, she looked back and found that the boy was still standing there. Seeing her turn around, he looked a little puzzled and smiled at her again. She smiled back for some reason.

It was over, and everything around was dark again. There was no more white light, and the small village disappeared.

The next day she woke up very early and simply studied runes for an hour before going to have breakfast. Coincidentally, Slytherin took most of its classes with Gryffindor, so she went to and from get out of class with Lily for several weeks in a row. This made her learning progress much faster and she had enough time to learn runes.

For some unknown reason, the boy never appeared again after that dream, and she never had another dream. Before she knew it, Halloween had arrived, and she only realized this when the pumpkins were already hung in the castle. Was it the end of October so soon?

She didn't really like the Halloween dinner. Without Narcissa, the socializing was meaningless. She simply brought a book to review. Although she had found a more secluded seat, there were still a dozen Slytherins sitting there. Her ears were never quiet and she had to read while dealing with socializing.

"Ayala, the school Quidditch tournament is starting in a few days. Do you want to come with us to watch training tomorrow?"

"No, I don't have time tomorrow. Let's do it another day."

"All right."

She hadn't watched the Slytherin team practice since Lucius graduated. She didn't like such physically demanding things.

The pumpkin pie made by Narcissa was delivered to Hogwarts on time the next day, and it also came with a beautiful necklace with a blue gem that shone beautifully.

The letter still mentioned recent events. Isabel's letter did not contain a single word, only a bag of gold galleons.

The first Quidditch match was between Slytherin and Gryffindor. A week before the game, the two school teams started fighting over the Quidditch pitch and quarreled about it every day. On the last day before the game, Ayala couldn't stand the persuasion of others and was dragged to watch the training.

As expected, Slytherin had just practiced for half an hour when Gryffindor arrived. The two teams practiced magic for ten minutes and then divided the venue into two halves for their respective training.

The training was no different from the previous ones, except that the new Quidditch captain did not train as hard as Lucius, and his rest time was relatively longer.

The game soon arrived, and she sat on the Quidditch field reading a book early in the morning. The weather was very good today, but the result was not as good as everyone expected. Gryffindor's Black and Potter seemed to be cheating.

At the beginning, Slytherin could still score a few goals, but later on, they couldn't score any goals at all. The Gryffindors trapped Slytherin like a net, and there was no doubt that they lost the game. The happier the Gryffindors were, the gloomier the people around her were. For several days in a row, the Slytherin lounge was gloomy.

In the end, Hufflepuff won the match between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. Hufflepuff will compete with Gryffindor for the first and second places, while Ravenclaw will compete with Slytherin for the third and fourth places.

Their captain finally increased the intensity of training like Lucius, and the final result was that Slytherin narrowly won, while Gryffindor continued to be the first place. After the game, Ayala chose to go home for Christmas. She was going to find a place, Godric's Hollow.

On the last Hogsmeade day before the Christmas holidays, she came to the Hog's Head Inn, one of the few pubs she had not been to. As soon as she entered, she smelled a strong smell of sheep. An old man with gray hair and beard at the counter looked up at her.

There are neither too many nor too few customers in the store.

"Give me a butterbeer, please."

The old man suddenly stared at her.

"Sir, what's wrong?"

"nothing."

While waiting for the butterbeer, she looked around and suddenly found an oil painting on the wall. The blonde girl in the painting looked familiar, but she couldn't remember where she had seen her. The dream of that day suddenly emerged in her mind. This girl was the sister of the boy in the dream.

"That's my sister."

The old man had made the butterbeer at some point, handed it to her, and explained to her.

"Excuse me, do you have any younger brothers or older brothers?"

"I have a brother."

"Can you tell me who he is?"

The old man shook his head and left the counter. She could only look at the portrait while drinking beer.

Before the Christmas holiday, Ancient Magic Runes conducted a small test. Considering that she and Lily had studied day and night for the past few months, they got a good result, which made Ayala feel a little better.

Lily also chose to go home and agreed on a time to leave together with her.

Anyway, she was someone he knew, so Ayala chose to ride in the same carriage with her. The only bad thing was that Porter somehow found her and forced himself into this carriage.

"Ayala."

Lily was calling her.

"What's wrong? Lily."

"Can you come over to my house the day after Christmas? We can chat all night long."

She actually wanted to refuse, but thinking that Lily was actually a pretty good person, under her fiery gaze, Ayala had no choice but to agree to the request.

"good."

"Great! This is my home address."

She took the paper from Lily, took a look at it and put it in her pocket. Isabel was still so conspicuous. She saw her as soon as she got off the car. She walked over after saying goodbye to Lily.

The next day she lied to Isabel by saying she was going out to buy gifts, but in fact she went to Godric's Hollow. She got there by the Wizard Knight Bus, and when she got to the ground she felt she was not in her right mind.
