The thought of Zhu Chen made me involuntarily wear a disgusted expression on my face. Suddenly, I thought of something else: "Why don't we go upstairs and wake up Qianliyan? After all, our computers are still upstairs. What if Zhu Chen has some accomplices and they try to lure us away?"

Ji Lin'an seemed to realize something, nodded and walked upstairs. I looked out the window and quickly followed Ji Lin'an upstairs. Ji Lin'an quietly knocked on Qianliyan's door a few times, but there was no answer. So Ji Lin'an opened the door and went in. I stood guard at the top of the stairs. A few minutes later, I heard Qianliyan exclaim, "Where is he? Where is he?" A moment later, he came out of the room, still sleepy.

Ji Lin'an followed behind Qianliyan: "You just stay home and keep an eye on things, and protect yourself and our equipment."

Thousand-Mile Eyes pouted and squinted: "I know, big brother. Be careful, you must come back alive."

After Ji Lin'an finished speaking, he turned and walked towards me. We went downstairs and went out together. Ji Lin'an walked in front and I followed behind, holding my phone to keep an eye on Zhu Chen's movements. When we were almost at the entrance of the community, I saw that Zhu Chen in the surveillance camera had noticed our movements. He quickly squatted down and looked into the community. Ji Lin'an was about to go over, but I rolled my eyes and reached out to stop him: "You wait here for me. I'll go. If the two of us go out together, Zhu Chen will definitely be scared and think that we want to kill him. If I go by myself, he will be less wary."

Ji Lin'an thought for a moment and nodded: "Then be careful. Let me switch to a pistol for you. Put it in your pocket and don't take it out for now. I'll hold the gun here. If you notice anything wrong, just give me a signal quietly."

After I tiptoed and kissed Ji Lin'an, I jogged to the vicinity of the guard post and softly called Zhu Chen's name: "Zhu Chen, Zhu Chen, is that you?"

A few seconds later, Zhu Chen slowly poked her head out of the guard post and looked in Ji Lin'an's direction. I followed her gaze and saw that there was no one there. I slowly approached Zhu Chen and said, "Don't worry, that's my husband. We won't hurt you."

Zhu Chen looked at Ji Lin'an with suspicion, then glanced in his direction: "I saw your husband was nearby on the tracking map. What is he hiding for?"

Seeing that he was too wary, I didn't approach him further. I stood there and smiled, saying, "My husband said he wanted to give us some private space."

Upon hearing this, Zhu Chen's eyes flashed with an ambiguous look: "Raise your hands so I can see."

I obediently raised my hands to show Zhu Chen, and then spun around twice. After Zhu Chen saw that there was no problem, he peeked in Ji Lin'an's direction and waved to me: "Come over here."

I slowly walked towards Zhu Chen, glancing around as I went. When I was three meters away from Zhu Chen, he stopped me, saying, "Just stand there. How did you know I was there?"

I thought for a moment and said, "It was seen on the surveillance camera." I told him honestly, because I could only gain his trust by telling the truth rather than lying.

Zhu Chen frowned, looked up and around, then pointed to a surveillance camera under a streetlamp not far away: "That surveillance camera?"

I nodded, and Zhu Chen looked a little flustered: "How did you install the surveillance cameras without internet or electricity?"

I pointed to the surveillance camera under the streetlight: "Look, there's a solar panel on the camera. This camera doesn't need a power source."

Zhu Chen rolled her eyes: "Were you one of the lucky ones before the apocalypse even started?"

I nodded, and Zhu Chen continued, "I knew all that stuff you said before about dreaming was fake. So how did you know I was the lucky one?"

I pointed to the surveillance camera under the streetlight. Zhu Chen swallowed hard and glanced at Ji Lin'an: "You said 'cooperation' in the code, what kind of cooperation? You're not trying to trick me into going in, kill me, and steal my skills, are you?"

I laughed: "We have much more skills. Although we could kill you, we'll spare your life because we were once together. There's a mysterious organization in this city that specializes in killing lucky people. The leader of the organization has the ability to copy. If they find you, you're doomed. They'll take your skills and then kill you. Your death will be extremely gruesome."

After saying that, I shook my head with a sigh and continued, "So, are you interested in forming an alliance with us? Let's deal with the mysterious organization together. They're hunting down Lucky Ones. You won't survive long on your own."

Zhu Chen was still half-awake and confused, so I immediately took out my phone and showed him the future scene. Zhu Chen didn't leave the guard post, nor did he look at my phone screen. He looked at me for a moment and said, "No need to look. I've seen this organization in the future scene."

I tried hard to suppress my impatience and said softly, "So you're planning to go and join the mysterious organization?"

Zhu Chen didn't answer, her expression hesitant: "How can you expect me to trust you? Weren't you the ones who called the police on me for soliciting prostitution before the apocalypse?"

I pursed my lips and nodded leisurely. Zhu Chen sneered, with an expression that said, "I knew it was you. What benefit could I possibly gain from forming an alliance with you?"

I slowly took another step closer to Zhu Chen: "The advantage is that you don't have to run around for supplies, you'll be guaranteed to have enough to eat and wear and a place to sleep, and most importantly, you won't have to hide from the world."

Zhu Chen's expression softened considerably, a hint of anticipation and joy appearing in his eyes, but he still feigned composure: "Are you sure you won't kill me? I saw you lying in ambush on me at the villa last time."

I waved my hand with a smile: "I didn't see it was you then. We were trying to ambush the original Blinker. By the way, how did you kill the Blinker?"

Zhu Chen looked at me warily, his eyes filled with panic and guilt: "I... I accidentally killed him, and then I inexplicably gained the skill."
