Xiao Cheng is dragged into a game world, weak, helpless, and suffering from amnesia. Faced with mentally challenged NPCs, a teammate who seems like a big shot obsessed with finding bugs, and unreli...
The ceiling undulated slowly, revealing folds on its surface resembling the lining of an intestine. One tumor after another burrowed into it, until the last tumor merged with the ceiling.
After a brief period of calm, the floors above the first floor rapidly turned to dust, scattering ashes everywhere. All the walls began to turn into glass, and dense vines climbed the exterior walls, growing wildly and almost completely enveloping the entire building.
The sky darkened instantly, and dark clouds obscured the sun. A rustling sound came from the rose bushes, followed by countless thorny branches emerging from the ground, slashing towards the group like snakes at incredible speed, almost disappearing as afterimages.
"Go back! Get out of here!" Xiao Cheng's pupils suddenly contracted. Without thinking, he grabbed Su Xin's sleeve and ran away.
Fang He and the others reacted quickly, rushing inside in a few strides. Hua Zhi seemed to only intend to send them back; the moment everyone entered, she quieted down and slowly retreated.
Looking at the flowerbeds outside with lingering fear, the person in Building 3 wondered, "Have these plants become sentient?"
"Whether we become sentient or not is hard to say, but we're probably really going to become insane." Xiao Cheng pointed to the five completely transparent glass cubicles in front of him.
The cubicles were square, with each person's hospital bed placed in the center. A set of hospital gowns was neatly folded on each bed, and a clock was nailed to the headboard. Listening devices and smoke detectors were mounted on the ceiling, but nothing else was there.
"Be content, at least you got an upgrade to a single room." Fang He patted Xiao Cheng on the shoulder and went in first.
The ward door closed automatically after he entered.
Fang He's ward was the one on the far left, with lush vines hanging like a curtain over half of it, casting a heavy shadow. Xiao Cheng watched as he took off his blood-stained coat, unfolded his hospital gown, put it on, and then gave her a gesture of good acceptance.
He moved his lips as if to say something, but no sound came out.
The sound insulation of this glass is absolutely amazing.
"Let's go back to the ward. We don't know what will happen next," Xiao Cheng said. She didn't want to waste time outside, and Fang He's reaction just now indicated that there were no problems in the ward for the time being.
She was in the second room from the right. The vines hadn't yet reached the roof, and she could see the gloomy sky when she looked up. After the door closed, the entire ward was deathly silent; she could even hear the sound of her blood flowing through her body.
The hospital gown on the bed was new and slightly oversized, with a bright red number 5 printed on the right chest and a pocket on the left. Xiao Cheng reached in and felt three palm-sized pieces of paper.
