When medical student Mu Lian was interning, she suddenly discovered business opportunities everywhere in the hospital. A group of "brilliantly bald" doctors – physicians who couldn't ...
Dabing pulled Mulian to the doctor's lounge, immediately closed the door, and quickly climbed onto the bed.
There are 6 beds in the doctor's lounge, all with bunk beds. Dabing chose the best spot, the upper bunk near the wall.
Mulian looked at Dabing with a troubled expression, unable to bear it, and muttered to herself, "Tell me, what else is there for you, Senior Brother? Isn't the patient stable?"
Da Bing looked down at Mu Lian with a wicked smile on his face. He deliberately pinched his throat and asked Mu Lian in a delicate female voice, "Didn't you say you don't like Senior Brother? Why do you care about him so much? You are a woman who says one thing and means another."
Mulian glanced at Dabing with an ambiguous look and shook her head. How could she possibly like him? She wasn't crazy. "These are two different things."
Suddenly, Mulian thought of something very important. She opened the door and was about to go out in a hurry, but was immediately stopped by Dabing's question.
Pancake: “What are you going to do?”
Mulian: "Leave your phone number."
The department has an unwritten rule that night shift doctors must leave their phone numbers. This way, when a doctor goes to sleep, any patient with a problem at night can first contact the nurse, who then calls the doctor on duty, who then gets up to treat the patient. In order to get a full night's sleep, the department's staff often ask interns and trainees to leave their phone numbers for them to wake up.
Da Bing looked at Mu Lian with a sly smile, his eyes more determined, "No need to keep it, Senior Brother will handle it himself."
Bai Yu is well-known among the interns for his hands-on approach. He is the only teacher who works the night shift with him and does not require the interns to get up at night. Therefore, every intern and regular trainee likes to work on the shift with him and take on all the responsibilities by himself.
Mulian was conflicted, her conscience bothering her. She couldn't bear the fact that a kind-hearted person like Bai Yu was always bullied. She stood there, feeling extremely conflicted. Deep down, she really didn't want to leave her phone number. If she left her phone number, she would be terrified, fearing that if she didn't answer the nurse's call, the patient would suddenly develop an illness, be in critical condition, and die. She was terrified and wouldn't be able to sleep well all night. She would have to deal with a lot of things the next day, and she wouldn't be able to handle it.
Deep down, I long for a stable sleep without being disturbed.
Mulian stood there, her face wrinkled into a ball, extremely conflicted, and afraid that if it happened the first time, there would be a second time, and that she would become a bully like the abuser in the future, bullying kind people and becoming the person she hated most as a child.
I have never cheated anyone, and no one has taken advantage of me.
Mulian took firm steps and chose to walk straight towards the nurses' station.
Mulian stood ten meters away from the nurses' station, struggling with the question of whether to go over now. Eavesdropping on others was considered extremely rude, so she unconsciously clasped her fingers, caught in a dilemma.
The nurses' station was open. Lin Xi stood in front of the table, and Bai Yu stood opposite her. I wonder what he said to Lin Xi? They were talking and laughing, and Lin Xi's eyes were curved with laughter. The atmosphere was very harmonious.
Seeing Mulian standing there motionless, Bai Yu turned around, looked at her with soft eyes, and raised his eyebrows, as if asking Mulian why she hadn't slept yet?
She immediately took two steps at a time and walked forward.
Bai Yu said softly, "Junior Sister Mulian, what's wrong?"
Mulian blurted out, "Leave me your phone number tonight. Do I need to leave it?"
Bai Yu looked a little surprised. Maybe he was used to being on duty with everyone, so he was the one who left his phone number.
Bai Yu: "If you want to stay, then stay."
"Yeah." Mu Lian walked past Bai Yu and headed towards the nurses' station. On the table in front of Lin Xi, she saw a phone number left on a piece of white paper. She guessed that this should be Teacher Bai Yu's cell phone number. Then, she wrote her own cell phone number behind it.
Lin Xi rolled her eyes at Mulian, her eyes looking as if she wanted to kill her with a knife. She deliberately lowered her voice, her tone full of disdain so that only Mulian could hear, "Green tea, you are so cheap."
After Mulian passed Baiyu, Baiyu just glanced at Mulian, then walked towards the ward for critically ill patients to check the patient's vital signs.
Mulian looked up, blinking, and glanced around. No one was around. She stared at Lin Xi in disbelief. Had she just cursed at her when she was writing down her number? Or had she misheard? "Green tea?" She couldn't understand. For a normal night shift, it was a normal thing for a trainee or intern to leave their phone number. She was just doing her normal routine. What was wrong?
Mulian pointed at herself with a serious expression, her tone rapid, anger rising in her chest, "Teacher, were you talking about me just now?"
Seeing that the corridor was empty, Lin Xi didn't hide her disdain at all, and said, "Get lost!"
Mulian was even more shocked. She pointed at herself and repeated uncertainly, "Go away? Teacher, how did I offend you? We should talk reasonably."
Lin Xi's eyes were sharp. Just as she was about to speak, she caught a glimpse of white. She immediately lowered her head, tidying up the table with both hands. She said to Mu Lian in a gentle tone, "Go back to bed. You still have a lot to do tomorrow."
Mulian's expression was extremely varied. She didn't understand why someone who was hostile to her in the last second could be so friendly and considerate in the next.
Humans are really strange creatures. Just when Mulian was looking curious and inquiring, as if she wanted to stare a hole through Lin Xi, a voice behind her startled her.
"Hasn't it been written yet?"
Mulian turned to look at Baiyu and nodded, "It's done."
Bai Yu's tone was calm and gentle, always calm, "Well, go to bed."
Mulian frowned and glanced at Baiyu, subconsciously not wanting Lin Xi to embarrass herself in front of Baiyu. She turned back as she walked, curious about Lin Xi. Did liking someone make her moods so volatile? A bit of a multiple personality disorder, so why would she still like someone? She really didn't understand.
Bai Yu stood at the nurses' station, staring at the two cell phone numbers on the white paper, with his eyes lowered, not knowing what he was thinking.
