Lu Jing is gone?!

I panicked, but then I looked at the things on the coffee table and realized what was going on.

No, Lu Jing definitely hasn't left yet. If she had left, she would have taken this diary with her. Besides, only half of the cookies on the table have been eaten, so she must still be here.

"Lu Jing." I called out from inside the house, but there was no response.

It was obvious that Lu Jing was not there.

I couldn't stay here for too long, so I wrote some words on a piece of paper explaining my situation, then grabbed some useless things from the room and went downstairs.

I was the third person to come down from upstairs. Li Ming didn't check what we took. After all, they couldn't possibly go up and check themselves, so they would accept whatever we brought. Even if we couldn't use it, they could just throw it away.

I have some clothes, both men's and women's.

"Alright, here you go." Li Ming tossed me a small packet of ****.

After I took it, I got on the bus, but I haven't gotten my craving yet, so I'm not in a hurry to eat it.

After getting into the van, I leaned against the window and overheard Li Ming and Gao Tian talking.

Li Ming said, "What kind of place do you think the boss wants to stay? We've been traveling for long enough, it's time to find a place."

Takada, smoking a cigarette, said, "There's nothing we can do about it. There are zombies everywhere here, and it's not safe to live anywhere. Boss definitely needs to find a completely safe place to live. Otherwise, if we just find a place randomly, we'll have to go through the trouble of cleaning up the zombies when they come. Isn't that annoying?"

Li Ming shook his head and said, "But where is there a safe place now? I can't take it anymore. Sleeping on a chair all the time, my whole back is killing me!"

Takada said, "If you're unhappy, go talk to the boss."

Li Ming sneered, "Come on, don't you know what kind of person the boss is? If he's not angry, he might just kick you once. But if he gets angry, how am I supposed to survive? I don't want to mess with him."

I didn't hear what they said next.

I'm thinking about their boss needing to find a place to stay.

It looks like they've been searching for a long time.

Since that's the case, my chance has come!

I got out of the van, feeling utterly exhausted, and approached Li Ming with a smile, calling out, "Big Brother."

When Li Ming saw me, he asked in surprise, "Hey, didn't you go in? Why are you out again? Was it not enough?"

"That's enough, that's enough." I tried to sound as obsequious as possible. "Big brother, I came here because I overheard what you were saying."

Li Ming squinted at me. "What did you hear?"

I pretended to be panicked and said, "I... I heard you guys say that the eldest brother is looking for a place to stay."

"Then what?"

I said, "I... I've thought about it, and I think I might know a place that's safe."

Li Ming shook his head, looking at me as if I were an idiot. He kicked me to the ground and said, "What are you trying to do, kid? Trying to kill me! You know the place, if you know the place, why don't you go stay there yourself? Why did you come out here?"

I fell to the ground and said, "No, no, brother, I really know that place is safe. I used to live there, so I know."

Seeing my panicked expression, Li Ming's expression seemed to soften slightly, and he asked, "Kid, are you doing this to get more ****?"

I nodded hurriedly, "Yes, yes, I, I actually, I don't have enough, I want more, so that's why I told you, brother, I want more."

Li Ming frowned and stared at me, asking, "Are you sure your place is safe?"

"Yes, yes, it's surrounded by walls, so zombies can't get in. It's really safe. And, besides, that place is nearby."

"All around are walls?" Li Ming frowned and thought for a moment, then seemed to realize something. His eyes widened, and he kicked me hard. "You little rascal, you're quite the schemer! You're talking about that university, right? You really think I don't know what's inside? It's full of zombies! You want us to go there and die?!"

"No, no, big brother, I didn't mean that university!" I hurriedly said. "I meant the high school behind the university. I, I guarantee you, there are definitely no zombies in the high school!"

"High school?" Li Ming asked in surprise. "There's a high school behind the university?"

I nodded hurriedly, "Yes, yes, I used to be a student at that high school. Brother, if you don't believe me, I can take you there to see for yourself."

Li Ming glanced at Takada and asked, "What do you think? Doesn't this kid seem like he's lying?"

Takada stared at me and said, "It doesn't seem like it. Should we go take a look? Anyway, this kid wouldn't dare to run away now."

Li Ming nodded: "Okay, since I have nothing to do today, I'll go take a look."

Hearing his words, I smiled inwardly.

Li Ming grabbed me from the ground, stared at me, and warned, "Kid, I'm warning you, if you dare to try anything funny, I'll kill you, you know!"

"Yes, yes, I... I wouldn't dare," I said.

"Let's go, get in the car, you give directions," Li Ming said, tossing me into the passenger seat.

Takada got into the driver's seat, and Li Ming sat behind me with a knife pressed against my neck.

I gave them directions, and after they greeted the guards around them, they set off on their own.

I can tell that Li Ming holds a certain position within this team.

The place we were in before was not far from the vocational high school.
