Lu Yuan glanced at the chains binding Kong Hanting's hands and feet, hesitated for a moment, but ultimately his humanity prevailed, making him unable to give up on this girl.

He then took a closer look at the iron chains binding the girl's wrists and ankles. He noticed that the chains were rusty, and due to the long-term wear of the chains, her wrists and ankles had been rubbed raw with numerous bloody marks, and some areas even showed signs of ulceration.

Lu Yuan opened the door and looked outside. Finding no one there, he patted the incoherent girl's face and asked, "How long have they had you here?"

A glimmer of clarity finally appeared on her face; she was no longer in a state of madness. After trying to recall, she spoke.

"It might take about six months!"

"You've been trapped here for six months?"

A look of surprise flashed across Lu Yuan's face. The fact that she could live in this place for half a year clearly showed that this girl had a strong will to survive; otherwise, most people would have died here long ago.

The girl nodded in agreement.

"What time do they usually bring you food?"

The daughter thought for a moment and then said, "It might be around noon, but because of the midnight sun, I can't tell exactly what time it is."

Do you remember when you last ate? Do they have any routine?

After thinking for a moment, the daughter spoke.

"The last time they delivered the food, it took about half an hour. They deliver food to me twice a day, with an interval of about four or five hours between each delivery."

Lu Yuan nodded, then told the other person to squat down.

"I'm going to unchain you now. It might hurt a little, so please bear with it!"

The other party nodded quickly.

Lu Yuan picked up the chain and glanced at the front of it. He saw an iron buckle on the girl's wrist, with bits of flesh and blood on it, and some mud on it.

Lu Yuan gripped the buckle tightly with both hands, then gritted his teeth, used all his strength, and forcefully pried it outwards.

With a "click," the chain's latch opened a crack, but it didn't break completely.

Looking at the deep, bone-revealing wound on the other person's foot, Lu Yuan couldn't help but glance at him.

The girl's face showed a hint of determination, and then she spoke cautiously.

"It's okay, go ahead and try, I'm not afraid of pain."

Lu Yuan nodded, then squatted down to examine the buckle on the other person's foot. To prevent the metal buckle from causing further injury, he tore off a piece of his clothes and placed it on the other person's wound.

Then, use both hands to forcefully pry it open.

With a "click," the latch opened again, and at this moment, Lu Yuan felt that he had almost exhausted all his strength.

Looking at the girl who still had one leg left, Lu Yuan opened the door again. They were locked in this small, dark room and had no idea if anyone was outside. The girl nodded immediately, then sat down on the ground and leaned against the wall, just as she had done before.

Just then, the footsteps outside the door grew closer and closer. The person seemed to be in a pretty good mood, whistling as they walked out of the small dark room.

With a creak, the door didn't open, but light from outside immediately shone in, and the man looked at the girl sitting on the floor with a lewd grin.

"Kong Hanting, haven't you figured it out yet? It's been so long, we've been treating you like a dog, can't you just let us have some fun?"

The girl's face showed a hint of disgust as she glared at the other person.

"Don't even think about it. Unless I'm dead, if we really intend to use guns, all we'll get is a corpse!"

The other person immediately stepped forward, ready to slap the girl.

Just then, Lu Yuan slowly stood up from behind the door. He was dressed in black, blending into the darkness, and it was impossible to spot him without careful observation.

Lu Yuan pulled a crossbow bolt from his pocket, then stepped forward and tightly gripped the other man's neck, thrusting the bolt straight into his eye with his right hand.
