Chapter 742 You are the Savior

Then the old priest walked to the side and gently lifted a few stone slabs next to the altar. These stone slabs were obviously very old. The moss on the back of the stone slabs had completely dried up, and you could still see that they had gone through many years.

Lu Yuan held a flashlight and shone it on the stone slab. He saw a huge fireball in the sky above the first stone slab, while people below knelt on the ground. The surrounding area was filled with piles of corpses, a gruesome sight.

"The old priest said that this was the disaster they predicted in the first year. There was a slight difference in the timing, but the order was the same. They avoided this disaster by relying on their ancestors' original prediction!"

Then came the second, the third, the fourth, and the last picture.

When he saw the last image, Lu Yuan felt as if his heart had been squeezed hard.

The final scene presents a completely different picture: a huge sphere is carved on the stone slab, and the same object has fallen to the ground. None of the people below can stand up, which is very eerie compared to the previous scenes.

"Does that mean everyone will die after the moon falls?"

Fang Yuan immediately translated Lu Yuan's words to the old priest, who sighed slightly and then found another stone slab from the side.

The old priest began to speak as if to himself, while Fang Yuan patiently translated each word for Lu Yuan.

"The old priest said that this lunar fall disaster may be the greatest disaster the Earth has ever faced, but if we can survive for two years, things will take a turn for the better!"

The old priest stopped speaking there, and then Lu Yuan saw the other man walk up to him, staring intently at him.

"Hmm... what does this mean?"

Lu Yuan was a little puzzled. He didn't know what the other person was staring at him for, but he felt that there was an unknown light in his eyes.

Then, the high priest turned around and returned to his place, where he sat down cross-legged.

Fang Yuan listened to the old priest's words and prepared to translate them for Lu Yuan, but after listening for a while, Fang Yuan's expression changed drastically, and she turned her gaze to Lu Yuan.

Seeing that both of them were staring at him, and that Fang Yuan hadn't translated for him, Lu Yuan couldn't help but feel a little puzzled.

"Tell me what happened! What did the old priest just say to me?"

"He said... he said you must be the savior who will save everyone's lives, and only you can lead everyone through this disaster!"

Upon hearing this, Lu Yuan's heart began to pound rapidly. He looked at the old priest and saw that the priest's eyes were fixed on his chest, where he was wearing a dimensional crystal necklace.

Could it be that this old priest has discovered my secret? But how did he know? I've never revealed this secret to him before.

Lu Yuan was filled with unusual doubt, and he turned to look at Fang Yuan beside him.

"Ask him how he knew I was the savior! Did his ancestors tell him what I looked like?"

Fang Yuan nodded and translated Lu Yuan's words to the old priest, who pondered for a moment before finally speaking.

The scene where Fang Yuan was translating while filming with a camera was truly harrowing for her.

"The high priest said that they will definitely encounter some people with great abilities who can help them hunt monsters! Only those who hunt monsters are qualified to become their saviors!"

Upon hearing this, Lu Yuan suddenly realized why the old chief had been so kind to him from the moment he met him. In his mind, primitive people were the kind of people who ate raw meat and drank blood.

Once they encounter outsiders, they generally choose to kill them directly, offer them as sacrifices to their ancestors or the heavens, or eat them as spoils of war.

He had only been imprisoned, which was clearly because the old priest wanted to test his abilities. This explained why they were so excited when he shot and killed the lizard monster.

Then the high priest spoke again, and Lu Yuan just listened quietly, his mind still replaying those words from before when he said he was the savior.

"Does possessing this dimensional space really mean taking on such a huge responsibility?"

Lu Yuan was at a loss for what to do. He stood there in quiet contemplation, while the old priest and Fang Yuan remained silent, simply watching him.

After a long silence, Lu Yuan finally spoke: "Alright, since you regard me as your savior, then I have a few requests! If you agree to my requests, I can let you all live and help save this world!"

Fang Yuan glanced at Lu Yuan, then translated his words to the old priest. Upon hearing Lu Yuan's words, the old priest immediately smiled.

"The old priest said it's no problem, he can agree to all your conditions, even if you choose to become their chieftain!"

Lu Yuan waved his hand slightly: "I have no interest in being a chieftain. There are still millions of people in my space. How can I be their chieftain? Tell him if there is any large place nearby where I can live!"

After communicating with the old priest, Lu Yuan finally got the place he wanted where he could survive.
