Chapter 335 Giant Serpent

"Tick-tock~ Tick-tock~"

After the illusion was broken, the sound of flowing water became even more pronounced in the deathly silent space. Yue Jiuzai used his flashlight to illuminate the surroundings and then walked to the cell.

Actually, this 'cell' is quite ordinary. It looks similar to a modern prison, a space enclosed by iron bars. However, this cell is different from the ones outside. Inside, there are many odds and ends, such as stones, miscellaneous items, animal bones, and so on.

Yue Jiuzhai shone his flashlight around the perimeter for a long time, but still couldn't find the prisoner inside, or rather, any living creature.

Since it's a 'prison' and there are guards outside, shouldn't there be prisoners inside? Why can't the Moon Nine Disaster be found?

"Hello~ Is anyone there?"

Unable to find the person in question, Yue Jiu Zai started shouting into the prison cell, but no one responded.

"That's strange... what could be here?"

Unable to find any prisoners inside, Yue Jiuzai decided to try to go inside and take a look. However, just as she started looking for the cell door, her flashlight accidentally shone on her head, and when she looked up, she saw a giant eye!

"Heh! Oh my god, so you've been here all along. Why didn't you answer when I called you earlier?"

When Yue Jiuzai discovered a huge creature hanging from the top of the cell, she was indeed startled. However, after she realized that the huge creature was restricted in its freedom and could not move, she was not so afraid anymore, and even started chatting with others.

"Hey bro, what happened to you? How did you get caught?"

Indeed, on the top of the cell, a giant snake was hanging there. Its body was enormous, its head was the size of a truck, and its eyes were like huge red lanterns. However, its body was coiled in a circular shape and pinned to it by more than a dozen huge stone spikes, making it unable to move. Even its neck and tail tip had stone spikes. Moreover, it only had one eye, and the other eye socket was empty.

The wounds on the giant snake that had been pinned down had long since scabbed over, so it was no longer bleeding. However, Yue Jiuzai was still a little flustered when he looked up at it, especially when it stared at him with its only eye and stuck out its tongue, which made it even more frightening.

"Hey? Say something! Why aren't you saying anything?"

After observing that the giant snake was nailed to the ground and unable to move, Yue Jiuzai boldly stuck his head out of the cell fence to look at it.

The giant snake, whether unable to speak or unwilling to talk to Yue Jiuzai, simply glanced at her a few times, stuck out its tongue, and then closed its eyes.

"Hey? Bro, can you talk to me?"

Yue Jiuzai was still chatting with people outside when she looked at the giant snake with interest: "Why aren't you saying anything? Don't you want to go out or get something to eat? You're probably already done with me now, aren't you? Come on, let's talk? Maybe I can rescue you~"

The giant snake initially ignored Yue Jiuzai's incessant chatter, but opened its eyes when Yue Jiuzai mentioned that she might be able to rescue it.

With its red eyes like giant lanterns, the giant snake flicked its tongue and spoke in human language: "Can you really save me?"

"Hehe, I can't really say for sure, I can only say that we might be able to give it a try..."

Seeing that the giant snake had finally spoken, Yue Jiuzai quickly struck up a conversation with it: "By the way, big brother, are you a demon? Why do I sense both demonic and ghostly energy on you? Who are you?"

Because the giant snake above was still alive, Yue Jiuzai did not guess that it was a demon soul, but she also sensed the demonic energy she had sensed before, which was the aura of the giant snake above.

Unfortunately, after hearing Yue Jiuzai's words, the giant serpent glanced at him as if it despised him for being unable to save it, and then closed its eyes and remained silent.

"Hey, what are you doing?"

Seeing that the giant snake was ignoring her again, Yue Jiuzai also felt bored. Coming into this place was like playing an adventure game, but this game was not fun at all, and it was extremely boring.

"Fine, if you're ignoring me again, then I'm leaving."

Since the giant serpent ignored him, Yue Jiuzai decided to leave. This place was just a place to imprison the giant serpent, and there was nothing he was looking for there, so there was no need for Yue Jiuzai to stay any longer.

Just as Yue Jiuzai was about to leave, he suddenly heard a lot of chaotic auras coming from outside the stone gate, and the auras were very similar to those of ghost messengers from the underworld!

"Oh no!"

Upon sensing the presence of the ghost messenger, Yue Jiuzai immediately hid. She had sneaked in and couldn't afford to be discovered, or she would be in trouble. Moreover, this was a prison, and what if she was mistaken for someone trying to break someone out of jail?

Upon seeing a large group of ghost messengers enter and head straight for the prison, Yue Jiuzai transformed into a small stone on the ground and hid.

However, even after transforming, Yue Jiuzai was still quite afraid that she would be exposed. After all, she was just a split soul now, and her magic was inherently unstable. It would be bad if she were accidentally exposed.

Fortunately, the ghost messengers' attention was all focused on the giant snake. As soon as they entered, they all looked up at the giant snake at the top, and only felt relieved after seeing that the giant snake was still obediently nailed down.
