Chapter 148 Lan's Amnesia

Despite Shiratori's attempts to mediate, Odagiri Toshiro showed no interest whatsoever: "Get out of here! You stray dog, don't come here looking for food!"

This remark immediately made Minya very unhappy. Now, with so many people around, they weren't giving him any face at all. Just when it looked like they were about to start arguing, Miwako appeared and pulled Minya back.

Min also shook off Miwako's hand, put the cigarette butt in the ashtray to extinguish it, picked up his things, and said in a very unpleasant tone, "Sorry to bother you!"

Having said that, he turned and left Phoenix Realm.

He harbored very complex feelings for his son, but their relationship remained awkward. He couldn't express himself well, and his son, being at an age where he was proud, naturally didn't want to listen to his father. He wanted to pursue his dreams, and so the vicious cycle began.

After watching the excitement, Kwang-woo picked up a slice of salmon sashimi, paired it with the hotel's special sauce, drizzled a few drops of lemon juice on it, and took a bite that melted in his mouth. Kwang-woo looked completely satisfied.

He didn't like Minamoto's outfit from his aesthetic point of view. It looked like a rainbow from head to toe, and all that was missing was a little horn on his head to perfectly cosplay My Little Pony.

Midway through the banquet, Miwako wanted to go out for a bit, but Inspector Megure walked up to her and said, "Inspector Sato, about that matter..."

Miwako noticed that Inspector Megure seemed a little worried, and replied with a smile, "Don't worry, I wasn't affected at all."

Inspector Megure wanted to say something more, but Miwako just smiled, offered a word of comfort, and continued walking out of the Phoenix Room.

Not long after they went outside, Guangyou, with salmon in his mouth, mumbled, "Where's Xiaolan-neechan?"

Conan had just taken a sip of juice when he pointed outside and asked, "Didn't you just go to the bathroom?"

Suddenly, it was as if a thunderbolt struck Guangyou's mind: "Damn it, I was so busy eating that I forgot about that!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the lights in the private room went out instantly. Guangyou didn't even bother to throw the salmon in his hand aside and rushed to the toilet.

Conan realized something was wrong and quickly followed. Halfway there, the lights returned to normal, accompanied by a scream.

Upon hearing the scream, Kōyū gritted his teeth and quickened his pace. When he ran into the women's restroom, he saw Rin and Miwako lying in a pool of blood. Water spraying from the pipes had soaked half of Kōyū's clothes.

With just a quick glance, he could tell that Xiaolan was indeed unharmed, while Miwako had been shot about five times, and in her bloodless eyes, one of the bullet holes was just a hair's breadth away from a vital area.

Uncle Mori, Conan, and Takagi arrived at the bathroom within half a minute of Mitsuyu's arrival. The three of them quickly gathered around Ran and Miwako to check on the situation.

At this moment, Guangyou only had a few first-aid bandages on him, which he quickly took out and used to stop the bleeding in some places on Miwako.

Inspector Megure, Toshiro Odagiri, and Shiratori arrived at the scene after Kosuke finished handling the situation. Toshiro Odagiri methodically arranged the measures.

Conan crouched down at a gun on the bathroom floor. The 9mm caliber pistol suggested that the culprit was probably the same person as the previous murderers. At the same time, the flashlight on the floor also caught Conan's attention. It was very strange for a flashlight to appear in the bathroom.

The ambulance arrived at the hotel quickly and picked up Ran and Miwako, while Toshiro Odagiri investigated the scene. The rest of the people also rushed to the hospital with the ambulance.

Miwako was receiving treatment in the operating room, and her condition was not optimistic. Inspector Megure could hardly sit still; he paced anxiously back and forth in front of the operating room.

Shiratori asked with concern, "How is Officer Sato?"

Inspector Megure stopped and sighed, "A bullet landed right near the heart. There's only a 50% chance of saving him. Luckily, Kouyu did some basic hemostasis when he arrived, which increases the chances a bit, but the situation is still not optimistic."

Upon hearing that Miwako might be in mortal danger, Takagi and Shiratori felt as if arrows had pierced their hearts, filled with pain and panic.

"Inspector Megure, where's Ran?" Eri Kisaki asked.

After learning that Xiaolan had no external injuries but had not yet woken up, the group breathed a slight sigh of relief.

Guangyou sat on the bench in front of the operating room, his fists clenched, his eyes filled with anger. Although he appeared very angry, his tone was unusually calm and firm: "You're finished."

Those three short words sent a chill down Conan's spine. He glanced at Kōyū, feeling a pang of sorrow for the unknown culprit. This was the first time he had ever seen Kōyū with such an expression.

After finding out where Ran's hospital room was, Kōyū got up and walked towards Ran's room with Sonoko and Eri.

When the ward door opened, Xiaolan was already awake. Two medical staff members were taking notes of her condition beside her bed. Xiaolan sat on the bed, her eyes filled with confusion, her brows slightly furrowed, and her lips a little pale.

Hearing the door open, Ran turned around and looked at Eri and the others who walked in. Seeing that Ran was awake, Eri quickly ran to Ran's side and asked with concern, "Ran, how are you feeling?"

"Excuse me, who are you?"

What seemed perfectly normal to Eri gave her a bad feeling, and Sonoko, noticing Ran's unusual behavior, quickly ran out to tell Uncle Mori and the others.

The nurse nodded to Eri, who knew that her suspicions had come true.

Guangyou sat on the chair next to her, frowning. He was thinking about how to help Xiaolan recover, but he was not a professional doctor after all. Moreover, Xiaolan had amnesia this time. Strong stimulation would certainly be useful, but if anything went wrong, Guangyou would regret it to death. Guangyou immediately rejected this method. The only thing left was to help her recover slowly through daily life.

This method is slow to take effect, and the only way to speed up the treatment without leaving any side effects is to have someone who holds a very special place in Ran's heart. Besides her parents, the only other person who holds a very special place in Ran's heart is Shinichi. Therefore, Mitsuyuu cannot get involved in this treatment, and Conan has to handle it.

Having thought all this through, Guangyou was considering which method to use to teach the murderer a lesson. He had too many methods in his mind, so many that he couldn't possibly recall them all. It would be quite difficult to teach the murderer a lesson from all of them and still ensure that he didn't die.

Conan and the others rushed over after hearing that Ran was acting strangely. Conan was relieved to see that Ran seemed normal and asked, "Ran-neechan, how are you feeling? Are you alright?"

But Xiaolan simply turned her head and asked softly, "Little brother, who are you?"

The emotionless sentence struck Conan like a thunderbolt, leaving him completely stunned. Not only Conan, but also Uncle Mori and the others stared at each other with wide eyes, unsure of what to say.

Eri Kisaki was reluctant to admit the current situation, but she still said truthfully, "Ran not only can't remember us, she can't even remember her own name."
