The sudden apology left Xiaolan slightly stunned.
After a moment, she realized what had happened, then smiled and patted Sonoko on the shoulder, saying, "It's okay, it's really not your fault this time, and besides, I'm fine."
"If anything really happens to you, I won't let myself off the hook."
Sonoko shook her head and gave a wry smile.
"If you really feel guilty, just treat me to a hot spring later."
Xiaolan rested her chin on her finger and said, "Speaking of which, it's been a long time since I've been to a hot spring."
“No problem, come and stay at my family’s hot spring resort for a few days.” Sonoko patted her chest and said generously, “If you’re willing, I’ll change the resort’s name to Mouri Ran Hot Spring Resort.”
Xiaolan rolled her eyes at Yuanzi: "So what's the resort called now?"
“Sonoko Onsen Resort,” Sonoko said casually, glancing at Ran. “This resort was one of the gifts my father gave me.”
In Yuanzi's words, this matter seemed as simple as an ordinary father giving his child ten yuan as pocket money.
Her tone was brimming with a pretentious air, and her expression made her seem genuinely sincere, as if giving away a resort was no big deal at all.
Xiaolan shook her head helplessly and pointed to a clothing store across the street: "I'll go in and see if there's anything I like."
After saying that, Xiaolan went into the clothing store first.
"Wait for me, Lan!"
......
After finishing his breakfast, Guangyou didn't stay by his side for a while. After resting for a bit, he also joined the running group.
Running is about breathing. Steady your breath and find your rhythm. Don't be like someone who keeps panting and groaning, like a bulldog being walked by a resident of Kumamoto City.
When the bulldog passed by Conan, the breathing rates of the man and the dog were surprisingly in sync.
"Ha ha ha ha."
Kōyū shook his head and said to Conan, "Conan, doesn't the bulldog next to you look a lot like you?"
"Like...like a fart."
Conan, breathless, retorted to Kōyū.
Guangyou nodded and said helplessly, "Okay, okay, you're the most like a fart."
After saying that, he quickened his pace and ran ahead of Conan.
Conan was so angry he was grinding his teeth. Looking at Kousuke, who was some distance away from him, he suddenly felt less tired. He took a few deep breaths and ran towards Kousuke at full speed, shouting, "Stop!"
Kousuke still had some energy left, so he deliberately led Conan in circles. The distance between the two was kept just right under Kousuke's control. It looked like he was about to catch up, but he still couldn't.
Conan wisely abandoned his plan to catch up with Kousuke and take revenge, and stopped where he was, supporting himself on his knees with his hands, panting heavily.
Seeing how tired Conan was, the group decided to take a break.
Sitting on a park bench, drinking the bottled water that Ai had just bought from the convenience store, and watching the children running and jumping on the grass in the park.
The pace of life in Kumamoto is much slower than in Tokyo. You rarely see office workers in suits walking briskly on the street, constantly checking their watches, afraid of being late for work.
Speaking of time, Guangyou raised his hand to check his watch, then stood up and said to the others, "We should go now. After lunch, we have to head to the venue. You guys should be confident of bringing back the trophy today, right?"
Ayumi and the other two shouted in unison, "Of course!"
After lunch, Guangyou and his group went directly to the competition venue.
Two hours before the competition, the group entered the venue and sat down to rest in the players' seats.
About half an hour later, Xiaolan and Yuanzi walked over, chatting and laughing.
They were carrying large and small bags, so it seemed they had made quite a haul.
"Kids, are you confident today?"
Sonoko picked up the gift bag in her hand and said with a grin, "If you win the championship, you can take the gifts I bought for you."
The children were very happy and confident of winning today's game.
The three of them huddled together, guessing what Sonoko had bought for them.
Seeing their excitement, Guangyou felt embarrassed to discourage them.
The gift was probably Kamen Rider merchandise or something. Sonoko probably wasn't sure what to buy, so she just bought a Kamen Rider toy that Ayumi and the others had been talking about.
A dozen minutes later, Uncle Mori arrived at the competition venue with his hands in his pockets and dressed in casual clothes.
There was a strong smell of alcohol around him, but luckily this was an open-air competition venue, otherwise the smell would probably have been hard to dissipate.
"It smells awful."
Xiaolan frowned slightly upon smelling the unpleasant odor, took out a small bottle of perfume from her bag, and sprayed it heavily on Uncle Mori.
Uncle Mori, with a long face, waved his hand in an attempt to dispel the perfume scent from his nose.
Xiaolan glanced at the perfume she had bought for over a thousand yen with a hint of regret, then stuffed it into her handbag.
The perfume masked the alcohol smell, but it was still quite distinct.
The audience began to enter the venue. The adult group competitions were much more exciting than the junior group competitions. Some of the people watching the junior group competitions were relatives of the junior group competitors.
The competition officially began at 1:30 p.m.
Guangyou can play tennis, but he's not very good at it. He only plays tennis occasionally when he's at the gym.
The junior group competition didn't really catch his eye. After watching for a while, his attention turned to Ai sitting next to him.
