"To Mr. Yusaku Kudo, oh dear, they're all letters from Dad."
Conan tossed the letters into a box beside him, saying, "They're probably all from detective fans."
Guangyou, who was playing a game console next to him, said, "Who told you your dad to be so famous all over the world?"
"Besides, your dad is very charming," Ai said, sipping her warm milk. "I'm really not used to drinking milk."
Kōyū turned to look at Ai, but didn't say anything.
Ai felt uncomfortable under Kōyū's gaze and waved her hand, "Okay, okay, I didn't say I wouldn't drink."
Upon hearing this, Guangyou nodded and went back to playing the game.
Professor Agasa, wearing welding glasses, turned to Conan and said, "By the way, your dad's detective novel series 'The Dark Baron' that he wrote a while ago is very popular all over the world. I heard it even made it onto the bestseller list in the United States recently."
Conan, as the son, also knew some of the situation: "Yes, but he's in Switzerland now, and he travels all over the world frequently. I have to send all these letters to him, it's such a hassle!"
Looking at Kouyu playing games beside him, Conan squinted his crescent-shaped eyes and said, "Hey, Kouyu, can't you help me tidy up?"
Guangyou sighed, "Alright, alright, I'll reluctantly help you out."
Kōyū was really getting chills from Conan's resentful gaze.
Conan turned to Professor Agasa, who was busily engaged in something, and asked, "Professor, what are you doing? Are you giving me some kind of gadget?"
Professor Agasa waved his hand and said proudly, "Unfortunately, I don't make those uncreative tools. Humans invented airplanes by studying birds that fly in the air, but that's not enough! The mechanical theory of insect wing flapping has yet to be figured out!"
The professor pointed to the praying mantis-like object on his desk: "I hope, one day, the first one I invented can be made into a toy and released! I think it will pique the interest of children all over the world! Then, I'll be counting money until my hands cramp! Oh hahahahaha!"
Kōyū couldn't help but interject, "Professor, you could fulfill your dream just by releasing Conan's skateboard!"
Professor Agasa shook his head: "No, those are tools for Shinichi. How can something so uncreative suit my style, Professor Agasa!"
Guangyou scoffed and turned back to continue sorting through the letters.
Among the pile of letters, Conan couldn't find a single one addressed to him. Frustrated, Conan complained, "Why? Not a single one of these letters is addressed to me! Have I been forgotten by the world?"
Kōyū pulled out one of the envelopes from a pile and glanced at it: "Hey, Conan, this is for you."
Conan's gloom vanished, replaced by a hint of anticipation: "I wonder if it's from that beautiful fan! I'm really looking forward to it."
However, Kouyu's words made Conan a little depressed: "I'm sorry, your hopes have been dashed. Not only is it not a pretty young lady, but it was also sent to you by a lousy old man."
Conan took the letter: "I apologize for writing this letter to you so suddenly. But to be honest, it was after seeing your performance as a high school detective on TV and in the newspapers that I thought I would like to meet you if I had the honor, and ask you some questions. By the way, I will be hosting a garden tea party at my humble abode on Tuesday, April 29th, at 3:30 pm, to entertain distinguished guests. I hope you will be happy to have your guidance if you are available."
The professor took off his welding glasses: "What's wrong? Has someone invited you to a tea party?"
Conan nodded: "Do you know someone named Teiji Moriya?"
Kōyū shook his head, but he vaguely remembered that there was a very important plot about Teiji Moriya.
The professor replied, "Of course, Teiji Moriya is a professor in the Department of Architecture at Tokyo University and one of the top architects in Japan!"
Conan had no recollection of Teiji Moriya, or rather, he didn't know him at all. He scratched his head and asked, "But why would such a famous architect invite me?"
Being specially invited to a tea party by a person of high social standing, and supposedly attended by celebrities from all walks of life, made Conan a little shy.
The professor stroked his chin: "Since you're an architect, you can also be considered an artist. You need to constantly receive new stimuli to generate inspiration, just like me. Geniuses always need to find new inspiration! Oh, hahaha!"
The maniacal laughter reached the ears of everyone in the room. Not only people couldn't stand it, but even the mechanical praying mantis that Professor Agasa had painstakingly arranged on the table couldn't bear the laughter and disintegrated on the spot.
In the dim light, Guangyou seemed to hear the mournful cry of the mechanical mantis.
"But he invited you, no, he invited Shinichi Kudo, how are you going to go?" Kōyū asked, pointing at Conan's body.
This question hit the nail on the head, and Conan's face showed his annoyance: "Aaaaaah!"
After thinking for a short while, Conan tapped his palm: "And Ran too!"
Conan went straight outside and used a public phone to call Ran.
At the same time, Xiaolan picked up the phone: "Moshi moshi."
Conan adjusted his voice changer: "Ran, it's me!"
"Shinichi!" Ran exclaimed excitedly upon hearing this.
"Lan, I have been invited to a tea party on Tuesday afternoon, April 29th. I would like to ask you to go in my place."
"tea party?"
