Chapter 747 Kazuha's Plan

None of them spoke, and the scene suddenly fell silent.

Looking at the people at the table and listening to the sound of rain, Uncle Mori calmly took a sip of his drink and said to them, "However, it's been raining a lot these past few days, and it's still raining outside right now."

After taking another sip of his drink, Uncle Mori let out a satisfied sigh and said, "It'll probably continue for a while longer. Judging from the current situation, it probably won't stop until tomorrow."

“That makes sense.” Hattori Heiji calmed down immediately after hearing that.

If it rains, the hike will probably be canceled, right?

"It's okay." Xiaolan wasn't worried at all. She reached under the table and pulled out a teru teru bozu (a Japanese doll shaped like a sunny day) from somewhere, saying, "Because I have this..."

"This teru teru bozu (a type of Japanese doll) always works when Shinichi has his most important soccer match, bringing good weather." Ran didn't think too much about it, recalling the past, and a smile unconsciously appeared on her face.

Conan, standing to the side, became somewhat shy because of Ran's words, while at the same time, his joy was uncontrollably revealed on his face.

He could clearly see that behind that teru teru bozu doll, there was a label with the number 10 on it, and that was his jersey number.

"Ran, really!" Kazuha covered her mouth with one hand, waved to Ran, and said with a big smile, "I'm so envious of you~"

It wasn't until she heard Kazuha's teasing remark that Ran realized what she had just said.

Her eyes widened instantly, and after a second of stunned silence, Xiaolan explained with a slightly flushed face, "Because... it's not good to refuel when it rains."

"Hehe~" Kazuha just smiled and didn't say anything.

At the same time, Kōyū's gaze shifted to Conan, and seeing the blush rising on his face from shyness, he chuckled.

Meanwhile, Heiji Hattori, holding his bowl and biting his chopsticks, glared at the teru teru bozu doll with hostility.

"Really..." Uncle Mori picked up his glass and downed it in one gulp, then pursed his lips. "It's that detective kid again."

"With this teru teru bozu (a Japanese doll that brings sunshine), tomorrow will definitely be a good day," Xiaolan said before quickly putting the doll away.

“A teru teru bozu…” Ai looked up, her gaze lingering on the teru teru bozu for a moment, then she turned her head slightly to look at Kyouyu next to her.

Kwang-woo's smiling face was reflected in his icy blue eyes.

She seemed to be thinking about something.

Noticing Ai's gaze, Kousuke's smile faded, and he turned to look at her, asking softly, "What's wrong?"

"It's nothing, I just happened to glance at you." Ai didn't intend to tell Kousuke about her still-developing idea, and simply shook her head at him.

"Is it really just a coincidence?" Kōyū leaned slightly closer to Ai and teased her in a low voice.

"Maybe so..." Ai glanced at Kouyu, a hint of a smile in her eyes, and after replying, she picked up her glass and took a small sip of the juice.

A sweet taste filled her mouth, and a faint smile appeared on her lips.

The two of them knew the answer in their hearts, and that was enough.

Sometimes things become more interesting when they are kept in a murky state.

...

The meal lasted for almost half an hour, and the atmosphere was generally quite good.

Conan just felt that Heiji Hattori kept glancing at him.

"Hattori, why do you keep looking at me when you're eating?" Conan washed his hands, returned to his room, pulled up a chair, sat down, and looked at Hattori Heiji, who was reading a manga next to him, before asking this question.

Is it because he's going on a long hike?

Flipping through the comics that Kousuke had given him to pass the time, Hattori Heiji said without looking up, "How would you know I'm looking at you if you're not looking at me?"

“…” Conan looked at Heiji Hattori and fell silent.

"You can't possibly sense that I'm watching you, can you?" Hattori Heiji suddenly closed the manga, looked up, and stared at the silent Conan.

“I do have that feeling.” Conan nodded.

"Kudo..." Heiji Hattori ruffled Conan's hair and said earnestly, "We need to be sure of the evidence."

Shaking off Heiji Hattori's hand from his head, Conan revealed a half-moon eye: "I know that, but you can't expect me to install surveillance cameras here, can you?"

"That's none of my business." Hattori Heiji chuckled. "Alright, I'm not going to argue with you anymore, kid. I need to read the manga... And let me tell you, this manga is actually pretty good."

Seeing Hattori Heiji engrossed in his manga again, Conan pursed his lips, got up, and pulled a mystery novel from his desk.

I started flipping through the pages.

...

Meanwhile, in the kitchen.

"Those two are really close." Kazuha was helping Ran tidy up the kitchen with a rag, but her gaze was fixed on Kouyu and Ai who were washing dishes.

"Yes," Xiaolan nodded as she tidied up the kitchen.

"I'm so envious..." Kazuha suddenly sighed.

"Kazuha, are you thinking, 'I wish you and Hattori could be like this too?'" Ran stopped tidying up the kitchen, looked at Kazuha, and teased.

I teased her at the dinner table earlier, so it's time for her to tease me back.

"No way!" Kazuha blushed and denied it decisively. "That guy isn't as gentle as Mitsuyu. He's always calling me 'idiot,' 'idiot.'"

"Really?" Xiaolan raised an eyebrow at He Ye.

“Yes!” Kazuha nodded, then suddenly remembered something, her voice softening, “And… there’s something Heiji hasn’t told me yet.”
