Chapter 759 Ordinary and Warm

"It's alright, Uncle, let me stay." Conan didn't want to leave just like that. Like Hattori Heiji, he thought that Morozumi Ryoko was suspicious.

Since there's nothing else to do right now, Conan wants to stay here and observe the situation with Heiji Hattori.

It's best to wait until nighttime so you can check if there are any suspicious figures around.

Upon hearing Uncle Mori suggest that he go back with Kousuke, Conan refused without hesitation, saying, "It won't be boring. Let Kousuke go back first."

"Whatever you want." Uncle Mori didn't try to dissuade Conan from staying, but he did give him a heads-up beforehand, "If you get bored later, don't you dare make a fuss about going back."

"Absolutely not!" Conan assured him repeatedly.

Seeing that the group had finished discussing, Guangyou said, "Uncle, I'll head back now."

"Okay, be careful."

"OK."

After saying goodbye to Uncle Mori and the others, Guangyou turned and walked towards the bus stop.

...

It was already 5:20 when I got back to the office.

The golden color almost covered the entire sky, and the originally white clouds seemed to be coated with a thin layer of gold dust.

Following the stairs to the third floor of the office, Kousuke, assuming Ai and the others hadn't returned, didn't greet them and simply pushed open the door.

"Not back yet?"

Looking at the quiet room, Guangyou wasn't surprised. He changed into slippers, walked into the room, and went straight to the kitchen.

He remembered there was some food left in the refrigerator, but he couldn't recall exactly what it was, so he decided to check first and then go out to buy some more.

Half a minute later, Kwangyu changed his shoes and left the agency.

...

Walking slowly along the roadside, Kōyū held his phone in his hand, looking down at the text message that Ai had just sent him, and chuckled softly.

"Is your business finished on your end?"

In other words, Ai wanted to ask him when he would be back, but what she didn't know was that he had already returned to the agency.

Actually, if anyone should be asking this question, it should be Kwang-woo: "When are you coming back?"

However, Kōyū didn't ask that question, because he could tell from Ai's text messages that she should be back soon.

They're probably on their way back right now.

“Not only is it over, but I’ve also returned to the agency.” Kōyū didn’t hide anything. He stopped walking, quickly typed out a text message, and sent it back.

Holding his phone, Kwangyu started walking again, heading towards the supermarket closest to his agency.

While selecting ingredients at the supermarket, Guangyou felt his phone suddenly vibrate. Without checking the caller ID, he pressed the answer button.

Just as he put the phone to his ear, before he could even speak, Guangyou heard a clear, cold female voice coming from the other end of the line.

"Where are you? Didn't you say you were back? Did something suddenly happen?"

"No, I'm at the supermarket buying groceries." Guangyou said while making a phone call and picking out ingredients for tonight, then asked, "What do you want to eat tonight?"

"Anything is fine, everything you make is delicious."

"Okay, I'll go back after I buy it, don't worry."

"Okay, I'll hang up now."

"good."

The conversation between the two was rather mundane, yet it was filled with warmth.

Feeling Ai's concern, Kōyū felt a warmth in his heart, and the corners of his lips unconsciously turned up slightly.

He put his phone back in his pocket and continued picking out ingredients for tonight with a smile.

"This looks pretty good..."

...

Carrying the groceries he had bought, humming an unknown tune, Guangyou returned to the third floor of the agency, stood in front of the door, freed one hand, and pushed the door open.

"I'm back!"

After saying hello, Guangyou changed into slippers and prepared to go to the kitchen.

Upon hearing Guangyou's voice, Xiaolan and Heye came out of the room, came to Guangyou, bent down, and took the ingredients from Guangyou's hands.

"Kuangyou, you bought so much!" Kazuha looked down at the groceries in her hands and asked with some concern, "Won't we be able to finish them all?"

"Probably not. I think Heiji-nii has a big appetite, and there are a lot of people." Kouyu wasn't worried about wasting food. He shook his head and said, "Anyway, these things don't spoil that easily. We can put the leftovers in the refrigerator and eat them tomorrow."

We're going to the theme park tomorrow, so I can use the leftover vegetables to make some sandwiches to take with me.

"By the way, Guangyou, where are Dad and the others?" Xiaolan asked, tilting her head to look at Guangyou as she carried the groceries and walked towards the kitchen. "Haven't they come back yet?"

Ran originally thought that Kousuke would return with Uncle Mori and the others after the investigation, but when she returned to the agency, she found that the others did not seem to have returned yet.

She didn't think her father was the kind of person who would go out to buy groceries.

"Yes, Uncle and the others are still with that client." Kōyū carried the groceries and followed the two into the kitchen, explaining, "Heiji-nii said that the client seems to have some problems, so they want to stay there and see how things go."

"Is there a problem?" Kazuha frowned slightly, placed the ingredients on the counter, turned to look at Kouyu, and asked with a puzzled look, "Is that client suspicious?"

"When we went to their home to conduct the investigation, the client canceled the engagement at the last minute. She said she might have been a bit neurotic lately, which caused her to have a misconception."

While explaining, Kōyū opened the refrigerator door, took out the leftover ingredients from yesterday, and said, "Heiji-nii thinks her reason is a bit weak, so he wants to stay there and see how things go."
