Zhang Han's hand trembled, and his imposing manner inexplicably diminished. He abruptly turned around and looked in the direction from which the sound had come.

Two incredibly handsome men walked over; they were Zu An and Mi Li.

Mi Li couldn't help but glance at Zu An. His loud shout had made her heart tremble. The aura he displayed at that moment was quite reminiscent of Ying Zheng's style back then. She shook her head and quickly banished the thought from her mind.

After his initial shock, Zhang Han finally came to his senses and couldn't help but sneer: "I thought you had run away, but I didn't expect you to come back. I haven't settled the score with you for impersonating His Majesty yet!"

Zu'an then let out a heavy snort: "You scoundrel, how dare you be so disrespectful to me! Do you want your entire family to be executed?"

Upon hearing his words, Chu Chuyan and Qiao Xueying were both startled. They knew Zu An's background best and thought that this guy was too bold, daring to say these things to Zhang Han even now.

Not to mention them, even Mi Li couldn't help but glance at him sideways; this guy's skin was truly thicker than a city wall.

"How long are you going to keep impersonating His Majesty? I didn't have time to argue with you earlier, and now you dare to lie through your teeth? Are you really courting death?" Zhang Han's aura suddenly rose, and an inexplicable pressure spread out, leaving Qiao Xueying and Chu Chuyan speechless.

The two women were astonished to find that this woman was so beautiful, completely different from what they had imagined. However, Chu Chuyan thought about something else. Her gaze fell on Mi Li's clothes, and she wondered if this woman was not wearing any clothes when she was rescued.

While the two women were lost in thought, Zhang Han's expression turned somewhat grim—even though most of his face was hidden in the black mist, his voice trembled: "You... how did you get out?"

“Since I was sealed there, I was destined to break free one day. Why can’t I get out?” Mi Li said coldly.

Zhang Han glared angrily at Zu An: "It was you who rescued her!"

Zhang Han's anger level has increased by 999!

Zu An shrugged: "Do I need to ask your permission to save my own woman?"

Qiao Xueying: "..."

Chu Chuyan: "..."

Mi Li: "..."

Does this guy really think he's Qin Shi Huang? Who's his woman?

"You released her! Do you know how big a mistake you've made!" Zhang Han was trembling all over, clearly extremely agitated.

Before Zu'an could reply, Mi Li snorted coldly: "Zhang Han, you've been Ying Zheng's watchdog for so many years, I'm going to settle this score with you."

Mi Li snorted coldly, raised her hand, and charged forward. The two instantly engaged in battle, and she quickly neutralized his attack.

Taking the opportunity, Zu An went to the edge of the altar, helped Qiao Xueying up, and asked Chu Chuyan, "Are you alright?"

Because no one was organizing the altar, the previously boiling black mist gradually thinned out, and the "evil spirits" that were struggling to crawl out also dissipated.

"I'm fine," the two women replied in unison, both startled upon hearing the other's voice.

Zuan was also stunned, and suddenly had an absurd feeling, as if he had been caught doing something wrong by his wife.

Chu Chuyan was the first to come to her senses: "You should check on Xue'er first. She's more seriously injured, but I'm fine."

Qiao Xueying pushed him away: "You won't die."

Noticing the bloodstains at the corner of her mouth, Zu An quickly restrained her fidgeting body: "Don't move, you're seriously injured. Quickly restore your internal energy and take good care of yourself."

Qiao Xueying instinctively wanted to refute, but sensing the concern in his tone, she ultimately remained silent.

Chu Chuyan, standing to the side, looked surprised. The two of them were acting strangely.
