Madam Reborn: Beautiful and Cool, Second Marriage to a Prince to Seek the World

This is a story of mutual pampering, abuse of渣 (scum/villains), and monogamy for a lifetime.

In her previous life, Jiang Wei fell into the water and was saved by Song Tingxuan. She was able...

Aunt Xu seemed to be lamenting about someone else through Jiang Wei.

"Alright, she might be here soon. If she hears you say that about her, she'll be sad. Just now you were really looking forward to your elder sister coming," Aunt Xu comforted her.

Jiang Wen blushed like a child caught stealing snacks and saying, "I didn't."

Aunt Xu smiled kindly, "Alright, if we wait another half an hour and your elder sister still hasn't arrived, these good things will be yours."

"Hmph..." Jiang Wen turned his head away arrogantly.

"It smells so good..." The sound of the curtain being lifted at the door and Jiang Wei's voice rang out at the same time.

Jiang Wen glanced at the doorway out of the corner of his eye, and his mood improved somewhat.

Although she was just an unloved concubine's daughter, she was still proud and arrogant.

"It's my fault for keeping you waiting. Perhaps because my eyes are clear and my mind is sharp these days, I've been sleeping very well," Jiang Wei explained.

Aunt Xu was filled with anticipation, joy, and a touch of unease. She hesitated for a while before finally snapping out of her reverie.

"Come on...come and sit down, it's not late, it's just right." Aunt Xu warmly greeted Jiang Wei.

The three of them sat down together, and Aunt Xu first served Jiang Wei a bowl of fresh fish and pork bone soup.

"Young lady, please try this bone broth. I first blanched the pork bones with ginger and scallions, then pan-fried the fish you sent until golden brown on both sides, then poured in hot water to make the fish soup milky white, and then put the pork bones in and simmered them together for an entire afternoon," Aunt Xu said with great relish.

Jiang Wei took the fish soup, placed the bowl on the table, and looked at Jiang Wen.

Aunt Xu's face suddenly tensed up. "What's wrong? Is it not to your liking?"

Jiang Wen was a little angry because her aunt was busy and she didn't even drink a drop of water.

"What good food haven't they eaten? Why would they want this soup made by your aunt? Why bother, aunt?" Jiang Wen said irritably.

Jiang Wei was puzzled. How could a gentle person like Aunt Xu raise such a different daughter?

This girl has quite a temper.

Jiang Wei feigned grievance, "It's not that I don't want to drink, I just feel like there are other people here, and I'm afraid they won't welcome me..."

Jiang Wen was even angrier. "Who doesn't welcome you? My aunt cooked all afternoon after you said you were coming. Don't you welcome me? Why go through all that trouble in this freezing weather!"

"Wen'er." Aunt Xu stood awkwardly to the side, looking at Jiang Wei cautiously.

"So you're welcoming me too?" Jiang Wei looked directly into Jiang Wen's eyes, leaving her nowhere to hide.

Jiang Wen felt a chill run down his spine under her gaze, and suddenly felt a little guilty, so his imposing manner weakened. "Of...of course."

Jiang Wei didn't dwell on these details and pointed to Jiang Wen's clothes, "Then why don't you change into the clothes your elder sister bought for you? Are they not suitable? Or do you dislike them because they were bought by your elder sister?"

"Oh, I see," Aunt Xu visibly breathed a sigh of relief.

He blurted out, "They fit perfectly...they all fit perfectly."

Jiang Wei smiled at Aunt Xu, then turned to look at Jiang Wen with a look that said, "Look, you don't welcome me."

Jiang Wen felt a chill run down his spine. "What do you want?" he asked, "to make me feel welcome?"

"Change into it?" Jiang Wei only said two words.

"Now?" Jiang Wen replied with two words.

Jiang smiled and nodded.

"You wait!" Jiang Wen got up to leave, but didn't forget to bow to Jiang Wei.

In the time it takes to drink a cup of tea, Jiang Wen returned.

She was still a pair of maids with their hair tied with two red ribbons, wearing a light red long dress, which added a touch of glamour to her charming appearance.

Jiang Wei nodded in approval, "Wen'er really resembles her aunt; she's a natural beauty."

Jiang Wen felt a little embarrassed by Jiang Wei's praise, so she sat down in her original spot with her head down.

Jiang Wei placed a piece of braised pork rib on Jiang Wen's plate. "I know you've been holding a grudge all these years. It's all my fault for not taking good care of you and for making you suffer a lot of grievances at Aunt Liu's place. It won't happen again."

Jiang Wen never expected Jiang Wei to explain it to her like this, and she was somewhat flattered.

Actually, her anger had long since subsided; she wasn't really angry with her in the first place.

She just couldn't stand it, that's all.

“Auntie is right. If my elder sister hadn’t trusted them so much, they probably wouldn’t have let her grow up safely. And my auntie and I couldn’t protect her.”

Jiang Wen finally spoke to Jiang Wei calmly.

"Actually, I sometimes get angry with myself. If I were a man, or if I were older, I could protect my older sister."

Jiang smiled and gently rubbed her twin buns. "You're perfect like this. From now on, your elder sister will protect you and make sure our Wen'er wears beautiful clothes, eats what she wants, and does what she wants."

Jiang Wen stared at Jiang Wei with wide eyes, seemingly unable to believe that her elder sister would say such a thing to her.

Treat her like a child.

The room was filled with warmth and coziness.

The three of them ate almost their entire dinner as a late-night snack.

Frost fell the following day.

A thick layer of ice crystals had formed on the grass.

People walking on the street huddled together, shivering.

Jiang Wei's hair was styled in a flying fairy bun, with a pinkish-purple peony flower adorning her dark hair and a golden stamen. A pearl of the same color hung from the tassel and cascaded down to her forehead.

The fitted pinkish-purple long dress accentuated her slender and shapely figure.

Jiang Wei yawned as she sat in the carriage and headed towards the Prince Shen's residence.

As the carriage approached the gate of the Prince's Mansion, more and more carriages began to arrive.

Jiang Wei stepped down from the carriage alone, while a few noble ladies walked ahead of her.

She recognized some of them because she had seen them in a past life.

The noble ladies chatted and laughed as they entered the Prince's mansion.
