She slept soundly, and when she woke up it was already dark.
"Raindrop, didn't I tell you to call me?" Jiang Wei sat up abruptly, threw off the covers, and got out of bed.
Raindrops came over with the clothes in her hand. "I've called you several times, but I haven't been able to wake you up."
As Yuzhu dressed her, she said, "It seems you've been too tired these past few days, Miss. About an hour ago, Aunt Xu sent someone to invite you over for a meal, so I came in to call you..."
About half an hour ago, Aunt Xu sent someone to call the young lady to have her meal. The maid said that they could wait until the young lady woke up and go over, assuring her that they weren't in a hurry and that she should rest well.
"So you're not going to call me?" Jiang Wei asked.
"Of course we can," Raindrop replied with a smile. "We'll do as the young lady tells us." She just didn't wake him up.
Yuzhu styled Jiang Wei's hair into a simple bun, and without applying any makeup, she left with Yuzhu.
"Auntie really treats her words like gospel. She said she was coming, so we've been waiting here like idiots. Doesn't she realize it's so late? She's probably already forgotten about it. Only you're still waiting here like a fool." Jiang Wen pouted and complained to Aunt Xu.
Aunt Xu said in a low but somewhat stern voice, "You can't talk to her like that. She's your elder sister, your closest relative."
Look at her, she only noticed you were dressed a little lightly in the garden, and she prepared so much for us. That shows how much she cares about you.
“I didn’t ask her to send it. She hasn’t sent me anything all these years, but I’ve still grown up perfectly fine. Besides, the things she’s sent to Aunt Liu and the others over the years are mountains of gold and silver.” Jiang Wen was still wearing the same old clothes she had worn in the flower courtyard that day.
She doesn't need Jiang Wei to send her anything.
Aunt Xu sighed and said, "That's why you shouldn't talk about your elder sister like that. It's not her fault that she was deceived."
