Matching Degree Theory

In the unknown century of Guangyuan, the unnamed galaxy achieved unification. To address population issues, a marriage matching system was developed, forcibly pairing people through data calculatio...

Chapter 20 You're Not the First Choice

“We checked the surveillance footage and found that every day during Xiao Wei’s lunch break, a paper cup tied with a cotton thread would appear on the window.” A hint of anger flashed in Lin Ling’s eyes. “After Xiao Wei left, we immediately checked all the rooms upstairs and found that it was a storage room. Inside, there was only a damaged radio and two paper cups tied together with cotton thread.”

“Use the simplest things to lure Yu Wei out, then let him deliberately overhear the broadcast.” Zhou Siyu stroked his chin, a cryptic smile on his face. “Interesting.”

The fact that they could make these arrangements in a heavily guarded military hospital meant that the other party was someone of considerable influence. He was also very curious about what was on the radio that would make Yu Wei break his principles and sneak out.

“I know you don’t like Yu Wei, but I have no other choice now.” Lin Ling raised her head. “I hope you can find Yu Wei and bring him back.”

He had a premonition that the Qin, Chu, and Zhou families were all involved in this incident, but he didn't know what role they played in the plan.

Zhou Siyu is different. He has the surname Zhou, but he is not on the same side as the Zhou family, and even hates the Zhou family.

“Uncle Lin, people always change.” Zhou Siyu raised her eyes and looked at Lin Ling. “Even plants and trees have feelings, let alone me, a living, breathing person.”

The one who doesn't understand love isn't Yu Wei, but him.

He thought he liked Chu Yunmu, but later he realized that he only wanted to repay Chu Yunmu's kindness and rekindle the few moments of warmth he had received from Chu Yunmu when he was a child.

But Yu Wei was different. From him, Zhou Siyu experienced what love was for the first time. It wasn't as dramatic as described in the book; it was ordinary and peaceful, yet reassuring.

"Uncle Lin, there are many young men from prominent families who are a good match for Yu Wei, so why did he choose me?"

Zhou Siyu didn't believe it was a coincidence. Chu Yunmu and Yu Wei had a 90% compatibility rate, so why hadn't the system automatically registered them? You see, the system was set to automatically register when the compatibility rate reached 85% or higher.

“Actually, you are not our first choice, and you are not even in the scope of my and his father’s consideration. Xiao Wei is too naive. Your thinking is on a completely different level.”

Yu Wei spent most of his time in the military camp, and with the Yu family protecting him all the way, he never experienced intrigue or power struggles. He was like a flower in a greenhouse, never having experienced the dangers of the world.

Zhou Siyu is different. His unhappy childhood made him very patient and deep-thinking. He is a powerful figure in the business world, fighting with the Chu family for territory and playing with Yu Wei as easily as playing with a monkey.

Lin Ling sighed, "People with orchid pheromones are highly compatible with Xiao Wei. You are the only one who is 100% compatible with him."

"Alpha has the right to choose in the matching system. He refused to register automatically with Yunmu and also refused other options offered by the system."

Zhou Siyu curled her lip. This system is really hypocritical. Why is it that when it comes to Omega, registration is forced and automatic? And there are even penalties for not registering? The double standards are outrageous!

"So you used the birthday party as a pretext to trick Yu Wei into getting engaged, and then used the registration to cancel the automatic registration?"

A necessary condition for activating the matching detection system is that the two parties have physical contact, but when he and Yu Wei first met, neither of them were virgins, so even if they hugged, it wouldn't affect anything.

After differentiation, things will be very different; everyone's information will be registered into the system and sent to the terminal.

The Information Administration will give everyone a watch-like device, with different chips for Alpha and Omega users. These devices enable communication, internet access, data retrieval and transfer, and payments, while also serving as identification.

When different types of chips are detected approaching, the system automatically checks the compatibility. If the compatibility is below 70%, nothing will happen; if it is between 70% and 85%, both parties will have the option to choose; and if it is above 85%, only the Alpha chip will have the option to choose.

If the Alpha chooses to agree, registration will proceed automatically, initiating the registration process. Once an Alpha chooses automatic registration, they can only mark their registered partner, the Omega, for three years; otherwise, it is a crime and will be subject to severe penalties.

However, voluntary registration is more effective than automatic registration. Once two people register their marriage before automatic registration, the automatic registration system will become invalid.

In other words, if Yu Wei and Chu Yunmu register their marriage, then even if Yu Wei refuses to register automatically, he will still become Chu Yunmu's spouse.

However, Zhou Siyu had already registered with Yu Wei before the two of them registered, so they were forced to proceed to the next step.

“Yes, but we didn’t expect Xiao Wei to choose you.” Lin Ling pinched the bridge of her nose. “And it was an unwavering choice.”

Yu Wei and Zhou Siyu's pheromone compatibility is already as high as 99%. The remaining 1% depends on whether Yu Wei agrees with this option.

"But isn't Brother Yunmu... an Alpha?"

Zhou Siyu scratched the back of his head. Could there be something wrong with the system? Alphas' pheromones should only repel each other, how could they possibly match?

"He is an Omega, and a high-level Omega with orchid pheromones, but his level is slightly lower than yours."

"Wodefa!"

Zhou Siyu was shocked. Chu Yunmu was an Omega? And a high-level Omega like him! If Lin Ling hadn't said it himself, he would have sued the rumor-monger in the Alliance Court.

"You heard right, Yun Mu is indeed an Omega, but his father couldn't accept it, so he bribed the Bureau to register his information as an Alpha."

Lin Ling knew about this, but didn't make a fuss. Instead, she gave the green light in the process and asked Yu Zhen to find a way to transfer Yu Wei and Chu Yunmu to the same base. After all, high-level Omegas are very rare, and a daughter-in-law needs to be trained from a young age.
