In the unknown century of Guangyuan, the unnamed galaxy achieved unification. To address population issues, a marriage matching system was developed, forcibly pairing people through data calculatio...
The campfire flickered, and a tall, burly man lifted the tent flap, pulled up his trousers, and stepped out, his dark face flushed an unnatural red.
"Big brother is awesome!"
The observant underling quickly served water, smiling obsequiously.
"for how long?"
"Three... um... thirty minutes."
The younger brother nervously hid the timer and secretly glanced at the man.
"Big brother, is it my turn now?"
A pig-headed, human-bodied orc rubbed his hands together, his eyes looking at the tent with a lewd expression.
"Go ahead, go ahead."
The man waved his hand, and Pighead jumped up with joy, running into the tent.
A bloodcurdling scream came from inside the tent. The younger brother trembled involuntarily, his voice shaking: "Big brother, could... someone have died?"
"Tch, so what if he's dead? He was just a toy assigned by the higher-ups, no big deal." The man took the cigar from his underling, took a deep drag, and squinted his eyes contentedly. "He can just get a new one when he dies, isn't that great?"
Those people are doing well in the city, living a life of luxury with all sorts of beautiful women at their beck and call. Unlike here in this poor, remote place, they're lucky if they even have someone to keep them company.
Suddenly, a bright light shone on his face, and the man frowned. The people around him also became alert, and the hands holding weapons slowly rose.
"Hey bro, got a fire?"
Yu Wei leaned against the motorcycle, his long legs crossed, his well-defined fingers gripping his helmet.
"Where did this stunning beauty come from? She's quite pretty too."
The man laughed heartily, and the people around him laughed along with him.
Is there a fire?
Yu Wei repeated, smiling as he extended his hand.
"Yes, come here to your brother, your brother has... Ah!"
Before he could finish speaking, the golden vine pierced straight through the man's head like a sharp blade. Blood flowed down his cheek, and the man stared wide-eyed, dying without understanding what had happened.
"I'll say it one last time, is there fire?"
Yu Wei twitched his fingers slightly, and countless vines burst forth from the ground, lifting the remaining people into the air.
The young man smiled brightly and innocently, his black eyes clear and without a trace of impurity, like a child who knew nothing of the world.
"It seems none of you have any."
Yu Wei smiled, and countless straight and thick vines, as sharp as blades, burst forth from the ground, piercing straight through vital points.
The vines, like snakes, quickly burrowed into the tent from the ground and burst forth. Before the orc could even pull away, the vines pierced his stomach, and he collapsed onto the person beneath him, his eyes wide open.
"You dead pig's head, I feel disgusted even when it's made into pig's head meat."
Yu Wei lifted the tent flap, manipulated the vines to wrap the orc up, and threw him out of the tent like trash.
Seeing the disheveled, shivering Omega on the ground, his body covered in bruises, Yu Wei sighed and casually grabbed a piece of clothing, throwing it at the man.
"Kill me!" The Omega rushed to Yu Wei's feet, grabbed his leg, and pleaded, "Please kill me."
"An army will be passing through tomorrow morning, you..."
"Please, grant my wish." The Omega wept uncontrollably, tears streaming down his face. "If only you had come a few minutes earlier..."
His fiancé died in front of him to protect him, and now he's being violated by so many people; he's long lost the will to live.
He shouldn't have saved him; he should have died with him!
Yu Wei frowned, squatted down, and pried open the tender white fingers on her legs one by one: "You have a long life ahead of you, there is still hope, live well."
"Dawn will dispel the darkness, and the first light will eventually arrive."
Yu Wei stood up, turned and left.
The person kneeling on the ground raised his head, a tear sliding down his cheek, and slowly picked up the pistol from the ground, pointing it at his forehead.
He would rather die before dawn than before the sunrise.
Upon hearing the gunshot, Yu Wei dared not turn around and could only walk forward, leaning against the motorcycle for a long time, unable to come to his senses.
Why would he choose death when he was already saved?
Yu Wei clutched the amulet around his neck tightly, trying to find some warmth in it.
After a long while, Yu Wei raised his head, slowly exhaled, put on his helmet, mounted his motorcycle, and sped off towards the city not far away.
If he had been just one minute faster, he could have saved that person; if he had been just one minute faster, he could have saved even more people.
"C15, C15, please reply upon receipt, please reply upon receipt..."
"This is C15..."
"This is Yuwei, this is Yuwei. Requesting C15's cooperation in the rescue operation."
"Received, please proceed."
"Task 1: Immediately transmit the city map and base map to this device; Task 2: Locate the specific location of the hostages being held at the detention base; Task 3: Once the location is determined, immediately return to area C15. Please reply upon receipt."
"receive."
The soldier in charge of the switchboard was moved to tears. After three years, he finally heard the name "Yuwei" again.
Their star warrior is back!
Yu Wei stopped his motorcycle a distance away, took out his gear from the storage box, put it on, and tapped on the small screen. The motorcycle quickly shrunk proportionally, eventually becoming the size of a palm, and was put into his pocket.
Activate the night vision camera, and the entire road appears instantly, as clear as walking on the street during the day.
This set of equipment is the latest mecha launched by the Weapon Research Institute. It is made of new materials, making it lightweight to wear. The attached armory has also been expanded to hold more weapons, and it supports switching at any time.
After adjusting his equipment, Yu Wei put his hands in his pockets and walked into the darkness.
To avoid guards, he deliberately chose to walk in dark alleys, and when there was no other way, he would use vines to climb up tall buildings and move between them.
The closer they got to the base, the more guards appeared along the way. Yu Wei carefully dodged them, and when there was no way to avoid them, he attacked directly, sending them to their doom before they could utter a sound.
