Chu Wuyang slightly raised her face, a seemingly friendly smile on her lips, and continued to exchange rambling pleasantries with Yun Yang.
Her eyes, full of profound meaning as if concealing endless secrets, stared intently at Yun Yang and said:
"Miss Yun, please don't be so polite. You saved me, and it's only right and proper for me to repay you. Please don't feel any burden."
Yun Yang gently pursed her lips, her petal-like lips trembling slightly, but her gaze unconsciously drifted towards Jing Min beside her.
Her eyes seemed to hold a thousand words, but she hesitated and simply shook her head gently.
Seeing her insistence, Chu Wuyang showed a hint of regret, but he didn't press the matter further. He simply sighed softly and remarked:
"Miss Yun, if it weren't for you, I would probably be crippled even if I didn't die. This is truly a life-saving grace."
As they spoke, Chu Wuyang keenly sensed Jing Min slowly moving closer to her.
The hand hidden under the sleeve gently grasped her own hand, and even tightened it slightly.
Chu Wuyang glanced down subconsciously, paused for a second or two, then looked up again and said:
"I will definitely repay your life-saving grace."
"How about I invite you to my house for a meal?"
As soon as he said this, Jing Min immediately turned to the side, his brows furrowing slightly.
His eyes were full of dissatisfaction and protest, but in the end he did not utter a word of refusal.
As Yun Yang watched the silent interaction between the two, the light in her eyes dimmed slightly.
He then responded softly:
"Mrs. Jing, you're too kind!"
Her words did not explicitly refuse; she was clearly leaving room for maneuver.
However, Jing Min quickly picked up the conversation, saying in a cold tone:
"Since Miss Yun is unwilling, then we will not force her."
This one sentence completely blocked Yun Yang's escape route.
For a moment, the atmosphere became somewhat awkward.
Chu Wuyang quickly and gently waved Jing Min's hand, her delicate brows furrowing slightly as she playfully scolded him:
"I'm so sorry, Miss Yun, my husband has been extremely rude today!"
His manner and the polite words he exchanged were utterly hypocritical, yet Chu Wuyang's performance was remarkably realistic.
Yun Yang's lips twitched slightly involuntarily, and she could only manage a faint smile.
Chu Wuyang warmly invited Yunyang to sit down at a nearby rest area.
Although Jingmin's face clearly showed impatience, he still didn't leave.
She simply sat down silently beside Chu Wuyang.
I took the tea offered by the staff and took a small sip.
Chu Wuyang had a faint smile on her face and said softly:
"Miss Yun, your horsemanship is so good, it must have taken a lot of effort, right?"
Yun Yang bowed slightly and replied modestly:
"Please excuse my foolishness; these are just some little tricks I use to make a living."
As an actress, Yun Yang has extremely high standards for herself, and she resolutely refuses to use a stunt double when it comes to equestrian stunts.
Her words clearly indicated that she herself was also a dedicated person.
As she spoke, she very naturally and slowly took off her gloves.
Her slender hands were covered with numerous tiny scars, crisscrossing each other.
It's immediately obvious that she has put in a lot of hard work in her equestrian training.
Chu Wuyang had been keeping an eye on Jing Min out of the corner of her eye, only to see him glance briefly at Yun Yang's hand before quickly looking away.
There were no extra expressions or movements on his face; he simply looked down and fiddled with his phone.
Seeing this, Chu Wuyang smiled and said:
"You actors must have a really tough job. You must take good care of yourself!"
Yun Yang gave a slight bitter smile and sighed helplessly:
"Compared to others, these are really nothing. I've never been afraid of any difficulties or hardships."
She paused, a hint of hesitation flashing in her eyes, and slowly said:
"What I fear is that the entertainment industry is too complicated. I never know when I might offend some powerful person."
"As you know, in this industry, even a career built up with great effort can be destroyed by a single word from someone."
Her words were sincere, but there was a clear underlying meaning in them.
Yunyang continued:
"Mrs. Jing, although you are not in this circle, you must have heard of it."
"I have no idea when or where I offended any important person, which led to this unexpected disaster."
"If Mrs. Jing really wants to thank me, you might as well help me find out which important person did this on purpose."
"If I have done something wrong, I can apologize to your face."
Chu Wuyang thought to himself, "Yun Yang truly deserves to be called an excellent actress."
Their ability to perform on the spot and speak in riddles with their eyes open is truly eye-opening.
She was on the verge of tears.
Jing Min suddenly frowned and asked in a low voice:
"Miss Yun, is this your first day here?"
"Instead of knowing we were here beforehand and coming specifically to see us?"
The meaning behind his words was crystal clear: he was implying that Yun Yang was trying to extort money.
After all, Jingmin had booked the venue in advance, so if Yunyang was willing to do it, it wasn't impossible for her to bribe the staff a little.
Upon hearing this, Yun Yang immediately raised her face, her eyes already red and tears welling up.
With tears streaming down her face, she whispered, her voice filled with grievance:
"Mr. Jing, what do you mean by this?"
The voice trembled slightly.
"I just saved your wife. It's fine if you don't thank me, but do you suspect that I deliberately caused this accident?"
