Her eyes were filled with disbelief and sorrow as she stared intently at Jing Min, as if trying to find a trace of trust in his face.
Jing Min's expression remained cold and stern, like ice that had never melted in a thousand years, his eyes revealing sharpness and suspicion.
He parted his thin lips slightly and said in a cool voice:
"It's not impossible!"
The tone was flat and even, yet it was as sharp as an arrow.
Yun Yang raised her voice slightly, and complained with a hint of dissatisfaction:
"Then what is my purpose in doing this?"
"After all, it was so dangerous just now, and I was the only one who risked my life to save Mrs. Jing,"
"If anything unexpected happens, I will be in danger myself! How can you wrong me like this?"
Her chest heaved slightly, and she grew increasingly agitated.
Jing Min remained unmoved, his eyes still cold, and his voice devoid of any warmth as he responded:
"If you had made preparations in advance, you would naturally know how to turn danger into safety."
"As for your motives, didn't you just say something about offending someone and wanting to seek their protection? Isn't that enough to arouse suspicion?"
He crossed his arms, adopting a domineering posture, as if he had already accepted his conclusion.
Yun Yang was speechless for a long time after hearing these words, tears welling up in her eyes.
Her throat felt like it was choked by something, and she could only make soft sobs.
Chu Wuyang watched the standoff between the two with a very strange expression on her face.
She pondered to herself,
Aren't these two ex-boyfriend and girlfriend?
Even if it was to avoid suspicion in front of her, this behavior was still going too far.
The two clearly looked like complete strangers, cold and indifferent, even ruthless, showing no trace of affection or kinship.
Jing Min glanced coldly at Yun Yang and spoke again:
"I've already had someone investigate; we should know the results soon."
His tone was firm and decisive, leaving no room for negotiation.
This straightforward, masculine statement prompted Chu Wuyang to gently nudge him.
She frowned, and said with some dissatisfaction:
"Please don't be like that. I believe Miss Yun definitely didn't mean any harm. You can just ask her if you don't believe me."
As she spoke, she turned to look at Yun Yang, her eyes filled with reassurance, and asked softly:
"How long has Miss Yun been practicing horseback riding here?"
Yun Yang tried hard to calm herself down, answering with sobs, her voice broken and choked with emotion:
"It's been almost a month!"
A hint of helplessness crossed her eyes as she looked at the busy staff around her.
There are staff members everywhere here who can testify that this is a fact that cannot be lied about.
Chu Wuyang pretended to be angry and said to Jing Min:
"Look, you booked it just a week ago,"
"Miss Yun has been practicing here for a month; you've misunderstood her."
"And malicious speculation!"
She glared at Jing Min with a reproachful look in her eyes.
