Jing Min silently observed Chu Wuyang's reaction, making no move to disturb her.
Chu Wuyang turned her head and met his gaze, which was indifferent yet slightly cold. She involuntarily felt guilty and glanced away.
He cleared his throat to ease the awkwardness and began speaking somewhat stiffly.
Aren't you leaving yet?
Jing Min sat there nonchalantly, pretending not to know anything, and asked in a dismissive tone.
Where are you going?
Chu Wuyang's tone became urgent: Where else could we go?
"Go back to your room!"
Jingmin chuckled twice.
"Isn't this my room? Which room do I need to go back to?"
Chu Wuyang felt a surge of inexplicable anger rising within her when she saw him repeating the same thing over and over.
His attitude clearly indicated he wanted to downplay what had happened, and she was too lazy to put on this act of whitewashing.
But he still explained in a calm tone.
"Let's go back to the master bedroom in the main building!"
"good!"
Chu Wuyang was slightly surprised by such a straightforward agreement; she had thought it would be a long and drawn-out negotiation, but it turned out to be much easier to talk to.
Jing Min's lips curled slightly. He stood up, slowly and deliberately rolling up his sleeves, then walked straight over and swept Chu Wuyang into his arms in one fluid motion.
"What are you doing? Put me down!"
Chu Wuyang tried to move her legs, but the injury on her legs made her body tense up instantly. The pain made her break out in a cold sweat, and she dared not move, only pounding her legs with her hands.
This small amount of power is insignificant compared to Jing Min's.
He turned to the side and chuckled softly.
"Didn't you say you wanted to go back to the master bedroom? Since you have trouble walking right now, I'll help you."
After saying that, he stared at her wicked paws and continued to mock her, his tone implying that she was ungrateful.
"I helped you and you didn't even say thank you, and now you're repaying kindness with enmity."
Chu Wuyang withdrew her hand, her eyes flickered slightly, and she said with a forced smile.
"You're deliberately misinterpreting me. I meant you should go back to your master bedroom by yourself."
Jing Min gazed at her with deep eyes, and asked in a low voice, drawing out the last syllable.
"Oh, now I understand."
Chu Wuyang climbed up the pole, her voice soft and quiet.
"I understand, now put me down,"
Jingmin was amused by her overly eager behavior, gently put her down, and then sat down and leaned back.
Seeing that he wasn't moving and seemed determined to stay the night, Chu Wuyang felt a strong sense of resistance.
She poked his hard shoulder with her index finger to shoo him away.
"It's late, I need to rest, you can go home now!"
Jingmin kept his eyes closed and did not react.
Chu Wuyang pouted and pushed him forcefully with her palm, but after only two pushes, someone grabbed her hand and pulled her close.
With her body pressed against someone above her and her lips bitten, Chu Wuyang felt a momentary dizziness and shortness of breath. She closed her eyes briefly.
His head was held firmly in place, unable to move. They kissed for a long time without any further movement.
I was released only when I felt like I was about to suffocate.
In an instant, Chu Wuyang's face flushed crimson, and he gasped for breath.
Jingmin chuckled softly and reached out to help her catch her breath.
Chu Wuyang reacted extremely quickly at this moment, warily avoiding him.
Jing Min's smile took on a dangerous tinge.
"You don't appreciate kindness anymore?"
Chu Wuyang lowered her head and ignored him.
A glass of water was handed to Chu Wuyang. She hesitated for a moment before taking it, saying perfunctorily, "Thank you."
He just wanted to hear her say thank you, so he said a bunch of veiled accusations and made all sorts of underhanded moves, all to make her misunderstand him and apologize.
She certainly couldn't say that, because there was no reason for her to feel apologetic towards the person who started it all.
She held firm to her stance: everything was because of him, and he didn't deserve an "apology."
Jingmin didn't seem to mind the perfunctory "thank you."
He took the water glass she had finished drinking from and began the conversation in a relaxed tone.
"No need to thank me, it's what the couple should do."
Chu Wuyang rolled her eyes inwardly, ignored the comment, and started trying to get rid of people again.
"It's late, get some rest."
Seemingly afraid that Jingmin would deliberately nitpick her about the subject of her sentence, she cautiously added...
"Go back to the master bedroom! It's late and I want to rest alone."
Jing Min raised an eyebrow, not that he hadn't understood the emphasis in her words.
It's like dawdling and looking for trouble.
"Was your thank you just a verbal expression?"
Chu Wuyang looked at Jing Min, wondering why she hadn't noticed this rascal side of him before.
He doesn't lack anything; he's so rich he'd probably look down on small favors. Isn't he just deliberately trying to extort her?
She seemed unwilling to get too entangled, her tone resigned.
"So what do you want?"
The thought that if he dared to use staying overnight as an excuse, she would... grit her teeth, her hands unconsciously clenching into fists.
Even if we take a step back and assume the worst, it can't be today. He mentally rehearsed all the possibilities, making no attempt to hide it on his face.
Jing Min watched silently, and with just a glance, he could tell what she was thinking.
He couldn't help but laugh out loud, but quickly suppressed his already small laugh.
"Since you've asked so earnestly, then I need to..."
The drawn-out final syllable carried a hint of elusiveness.
Chu Wuyang was incredibly annoyed, her eyes darting around. If he dared to force her again, then she would…
His increasingly furrowed brows carried a resolute determination, as if he were heading to his execution.
Seeing that the effect was about right, Jingmin stopped teasing her. Firstly, it was indeed very late, and she needed rest due to various minor and major ailments she had been suffering from over the past few days.
Furthermore, if you anger someone, they might not be able to handle it.
My emotions were unstable for various reasons a few days ago. If I push someone too far and leave them with lasting trauma, I'll be the one who suffers in the future.
After some self-comfort and comparison,
