Gentle and radiant history graduate student vs. Cool, charming, and de...
After Jiang Yiyu came out of the bathroom, the two returned to the reception room. Feng Han took the packaged jewelry bag from the assistant and handed it to Song Shengsheng along with Jiang Yiyu's card.
Song Shengsheng originally wanted to see the jade he mentioned, but since he didn't mention it again, she didn't ask.
When she was about to leave, she passed by the reception room next door. She turned her head and looked inside, and happened to meet Zhao Rong's eyes. Zhao Rong saw that the corners of her mouth were raised gently and appropriately, but her eyes were terribly sinister, a typical fake smile.
Song Shengsheng ignored her and just quickened her pace to push Jiang Yiyu out.
After getting in the car, she told the driver the address of the hot pot restaurant she had booked in advance. After the car drove for a while, Jiang Yiyu held her hand and squeezed it: "Are you unhappy?"
"No, I was wondering if we should go back to the Jiang family?"
Jiang Yiyu slowly frowned: "If you have nothing to do, why go back there?"
"Think about it, we met Zhao Rong today. She'll definitely tell Uncle Jiang when she gets home. Instead of waiting for them to call us, we might as well go back on our own initiative. Firstly, we won't give them any reason to talk about us, and secondly, we can take the initiative and get some old things back."
"What old thing?"
"Didn't you say that your mother still has a lot of jewelry at the Jiang family? Let's go get them back."
Jiang Yiyu reached out and tucked the loose hair behind her ears. "My dear, if I could get those things back, I would have gotten them back long ago. Why would I wait until now?"
"That's you, not me! I have a solution."
"What's the solution? Tell me."
Song Shengsheng turned sideways to face him and cleared her throat. "We are husband and wife now. Your mother is my mother-in-law. You are her only son, so naturally I am her only daughter-in-law. Shouldn't the jewelry she left behind be mine?"
Jiang Yiyu was amused by her: "My dear, what you said is a bit unreasonable."
"They haven't reasoned with you, nor with your mother, so why should I? Let's set a time in two days. I'll have my parents and my brother accompany us to their house. Then, with strength in numbers, we can get whatever we want! Think about it, besides the jewelry, is there anything else you want to get back?"
Jiang Yiyu leaned his head against the back of his chair and thought with her: "Company."
Song Sheng hissed and twisted the knuckles of his index finger in embarrassment: "This is a bit difficult, but there is a way."
"Hmm?" Jiang Yiyu smiled and raised one eyebrow slightly: "Are you really starting to think about it?"
"Yeah, isn't this what you've always wished for? If it's a wish, you have to find a way to make it come true. I don't know much about business matters, but I'm thinking, if that family of three were gone, wouldn't Jiang's be in your pocket? As for how it was destroyed, there are so many ways, maybe some natural disaster or man-made disaster would follow..."
Jiang Yiyu was stunned. He looked at Song Shengsheng's serious face, his heart skipped a beat, and the smile on his lips completely froze.
After a while, he leaned towards Song Shengsheng, took her hands together, and patted them gently: "My dear, your idea is very dangerous. Don't look back until Jiang's is taken back. Let's go in and have a free meal and operate the sewing machine first."
"Don't let your imagination run wild. I'm just saying."
"Don't ever say that again." He pinched Song Shengsheng's face hard. "I've noticed that you, little friend, have some dangerous tendencies. Last time, I told you to let you go, and you told me to die. This time you're trying to make Jiang Yuan's family of three disappear. Little Shengsheng, you said you were a little princess, and everything went your way. Where do all these weird tendencies come from?"
"I'm doing this for your own good, right?"
"You're already doing me a favor by staying with me obediently."
Song Shengsheng curled his lips and shrugged helplessly: "Just treat it as a joke."
The driver parked the car in front of the hot pot restaurant. Jiang Yiyu put on a hat and a mask, got out of the car with a cane, and followed Song Shengsheng slowly into the hot pot restaurant.
Because they had booked a private room in advance, the two were led directly to the second floor by the waiter as soon as they entered the door.
Sitting down in the private room, Song Shengsheng handed the menu and pen to Jiang Yiyu: "Just draw whatever you want to eat."
Jiang Yiyu took the pen, looked through the menu carefully, picked out a few dishes that he remembered Song Shengsheng liked, and then pushed the menu towards her: "See if there is anything else you want to eat."
Song Shengsheng took the menu, glanced at it, and smiled: "You ordered quite a bit." She added two more plates of meat rolls and finally stopped her pen tip between sour plum soup and freshly squeezed watermelon juice: "Watermelon juice or sour plum soup?"
"Sour plum soup."
Song Shengsheng made a check mark and returned the menu and pen to the waiter who had been looking at Jiang Yiyu.
The waiter looked at Jiang Yiyu excitedly and asked in a low voice, "Excuse me, are you Jiang Yiyu?"
Jiang Yiyu looked up and smiled: "No, but people often say that we look alike."
The waiter nodded in understanding, turned around and trotted out.
Song Shengsheng supported her head with her hands, looked at him and smiled, "It's indeed quite similar."
Jiang Yiyu took off his baseball cap and casually smoothed his hair. "I'm going to participate in an imitation show later. I'm sure I'll win first place."
After a while, the soup base and dishes were served one after another, and the red oil soup pot began to boil. Jiang Yiyu was busy feeding Song Shengsheng with a slotted spoon, but he didn't eat two bites himself. Just when he was about to put the cooked duck intestines into Song Shengsheng's plate again, Song Shengsheng hurriedly covered his plate with his hand: "Eat it yourself."
Jiang Yiyu smiled and poured it into his own bowl.
