Chapter 348 Investigation (2/2)

"They didn't say they were going to attack us. How could you just attack us like that?"

Flame Scales felt wronged.

Gu Xi ignored it and secretly used her mental power to send a message to Ai Si.

"Ais, there are a lot of ships around. Go take a look, stay hidden, and find out what's going on with them."

"Pulu~ I'll go check," Ai Si replied and left quietly.

Ais carefully manipulated the ice, concealing his figure among the icicles. The sight before him startled him.

The number of ships was astonishing, densely packed together, a scene comparable to when they had previously quelled the sea monster tide.

There were many people coming and going on the ship. Although he found these deep-sea humans strange, he could still tell that they were probably from the same race as Gu Xi.

The ship's hull was covered in various languages. Ais recalled the journals she had read before and could barely make out a few words—"Human Revival Society".

"Pululu?" Aisi tilted her head. Why did that name sound so familiar? It was like she had heard it somewhere before.

He maneuvered the ice, quietly approaching the largest and most luxurious ship, the sounds of their conversations reaching his ears intermittently.

“We’ve followed that woman, Luhmann, all the way here,” a gruff voice said.

"She's already made contact with someone, so we don't dare get too close," another voice said nervously.

Suddenly, a voice shouted excitedly, "It must be Gu Xi! It must be her!"

"Zhou An, calm down." Another voice rang out, clearly impatient. "There's no evidence yet, so don't go crazy."

“Brother Wang, believe me, it must be Gu Xi! Who else has such great ability to cause such a commotion in the deep sea?” Zhou An’s voice was full of certainty and a hint of barely perceptible resentment.

"Of course I'm interested in Gu Xi, but it's still far from certain, so don't be so suspicious." Brother Wang's voice was deep and unreadable.

Ai Si listened quietly, thinking to herself, "This Zhou An guessed randomly, and he actually got it right. It's like a blind cat catching a dead mouse; his luck is off the charts."

But what exactly is this "Human Renaissance Society"? They seem to be looking for Luhmann and also for Gu Xi. It doesn't sound like they have any good intentions.

Having received the important information, Ai Si turned and disappeared into the water, leaving silently to return and report to Gu Xi.

"Plop plop~ This is going to be interesting." Ai Si swam around while pondering whether she should give these ships a "chilled" gift.

Just then, Gu Xi's voice came.

"Ais, how's it going? Did you find out anything?"

"Puff puff~ There are many ships, with the words 'Human Revival Society' hanging on them. They say they are tracking Luhman and want to know who Luhman is in contact with. Also, they are looking for you."

Gu Xi was surprised, "Looking for me? What do you want?"

"Pfft~ I don't know, but these people don't seem to have any good intentions. Especially one of them named Zhou An, he seems to have a grudge against you."

"Zhou~An? Who is that?" Gu Xi asked, puzzled. She didn't remember knowing anyone like that. But given her reputation, she must have made quite a few enemies.

"Plulu! Shall I come back now?"

Gu Xi was taken aback. "Then why aren't you coming back?"

"Plop plop~ I want to give them an iced gift pack."

Gu Xi's head throbbed upon hearing this; she had no idea how Ai Si had learned another new word. (This chapter has been completed. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
